I've heard that hcigar won't sell to fasttech and I imagine that EHPro is the same.

The way that my EHPro stuff came indicates a fairly first class operation. It's funny as my original kayfun came in a tiny box with a few o-rings and the drip tip which I've never liked.
I know that when HCigar came out with their V1 Copper Nemie clone there was a FT version shortly thereafter... except the FT version wasn't actually copper, just plated.

Couple questions if you don't mind...........

1) Is the EHPRO that 101Vape and ECiggity sells the same? 101 claims to be V2 but Eciggity states it just has larger (2mm) airflow hole.
2) Has anyone tried ceramic wick (also known as ReadyxWick from RBA Supplies) in the Kayfun's ? Or...is this just to stiff of material to be useful?

After a year recoiling ProTanks, I'm in the mood for something new. I don't chase clouds...but am after a very flavorful vape. I just rec'd a Reo that I'm still trying to fine tune, but thought about also experimenting with new tank setups - thus my questions.

Thanks.

I have several Kayfuns wicked with Ready-X-Wick. Ready-X-Wick is as flexible as Eco-Wool in my experience. I use the original "3mm" in all of mine. Lasts for a long time. I actually have a couple tanks that I use high VG sweet juices in that I have had to recoil a couple times on the same wick. Just unwrap coil, torch clean and rewrap with new Kanthal. The only "trick" to Ready-X-Wick is to make sure not to choke the wick with the coil. I use a straightened large paperclip in the center and wrap directly on the wick. Position the wick/coil on the deck and screw down, then remove the paperclip.

I'm running multiple EHPros ranging from 1.2 Ω to 1.7 Ω. I use 28g Kanthal in all but one. I have 26g in the other but I'm not sure it was a good move. It's nice, warm vapor at 13+ watts, but it spits at me WAY too much, especially with a nano drop kit and a short chimney.

I've found a twisted 28 will spit less than a 24 or 26, even at lower resistances

Not certain about what Eciggity sells but the version from comes with a different drip tip that what is normally associated with the many Kayfun types.

    Good to know!

    Thanks.

I haven't tried twisted kanthal yet. Maybe this will be my impetus.

I'm also thinking on moving the coil up away from the air hole a bit. It's currently at about the same height as my 28g coils, and I'm thinking it may need to be higher.

I actually really dig twisted and/or braided wire. generally just do twisted though cause braiding kanthal is a serious PITA. I've had a lot of good results from simple 2 and 3 strand twists, and also twists of already twisted wires etc.

I've found it not only spits less in a kayfun but also gives more flavor.

I am running micros pretty much exclusively though.

I'd say play around to see what works. If there is one thing that is sure with a Fun it's that the distance from the air hole completely defines/changes the nature of the vape.

I would imagine the higher off of the coil the more wet or thick the vape?

I think there is a sweet spot

-too low and there is no flavor and you may get gurgle with the wick so close to the air intake
-too high and the flavor and smoothness are off

I just found one thing I do not like about the EHPro gen 2 Confun. The top cap will not work with nano kits. I am using the EHPro Confun Gen 2 base (because I love the 2mm air hole) the nano body and chimney, with a gen 1 original Kayfun Lite Plus top cap. Awesome look and function.

I was just going to ask about this again hoping that someone could shed some light on what nano kit would work. Or if someone changed their top cap to get the nano kit to work.

The top cap of the gen 2 EHPro is actually really well thought out by protruding the ring down and putting the o-ring inside of that protrusion so it does not come out all of the time... But this design makes it a no go for a the nano kits.

I have the EHPRO KFL+ v2 as well. Removed the center post and drilled it to 2mm (it's like 1.5mm normally) and using this method a .7 ohm coil is just amazing :p The below method of wicking provides a nice saturated vape without spitting fluid at you. Gives that thick, wet feeling similar to a dripper. IMHO the best build is .4 kanthal, 5/6 twist @ .7 ohms about 1.5mm off the deck.

Also, remember the "2mm" version being sold is ONLY 2mm on the base intake, the center tube is stock size internal diameter, drill it out with a 5/64ths bit and its drastically better.

Will check my Quartz nano kit later today and verify fitment or not with the captured top oring.

Best way to wick a Kayfun.

This has to be the best clone Kayfun I've thusfar seen. Certainly the best I've had.

Comes with three SS tank sections, the little clear plastic middle section, as well as a large clear section. Also comes with a handy screwdriver-keychain with flat and philips head, also replacement o-rings and screws.

Machining seems very strong, and TBH the only way It could be better is if it had pyrex instead of the plastic (but really don't kow how that would work with the threading, I suppose). Also it would be nice if it also came with replacement screws for the fill port and air-control (just came with extra screws for the atty itself).

All in all great, comes in a nice box, and just works flawlessly. 100x better than the BS Tobeco I picked up at a B&M a while back. Maybe now I can stop dripping-and-driving :D

You got a nicer drip tip than I got with mine, mine is the same one, in the same box, but came with the rounded tip. I love mine too, but also wish I could afford the glass kit for it.

When mine came, it was the first warm day we had since winter. I decided to make my coil outside on the picnic table. Unfortunately, I lost the air control screw in the grass. :( (Although I did see where I can get a new one). Fortunately, I love the draw without the screw in it anyway.

Best vape I've ever had with any topper!

edit: Now I see you have the v2. That's what I wanted, but I found a v1 on sale at a really good price. That must be why mine has a different tip.
