Put the coil in a GS base and on whatever you use it on.

Needlenose pliers to take the shroud off, pin and insulator out. Slow and careful with the insulator not to tear it.

Rewick and wrap just with your fingers holding the coil. Push the shroud on with your fingers just enough
to hold it while you screw it back into the GS base. Use regular pliers to push the shroud the rest of the way down just keep the plier jaws away from the threads on the GS base 510 pin. I use a GS Air base
that threads are already worn out.

I usually do mine watching TV and I do them in steps. I'll wind 3 or 4 coils. Then come back get them into the coil bases then come back and dry burn and rewick them and get the shrouds back on.

Thank you! Am headed to the garden right now for a little break.....I'm sure I can re-visit this later today with a clearer mind.

OK......now, I'm ready to tackle this again
I don't have anything to mount the coil on so that I can work with it. Have an Evod, but I still have to hold it with the other hand.
Have some old T3 bases, but can't get them apart....I'm afraid I won't have enough hand strength to tackle this.
Watched the video again, and I am feeling lost again.
Sorry to be such a downer, but am leaving it alone again for awhile until I can figure something out!

what is your main problem ??
have you taken ANY apart yet ??

do you have pliers ?

just take it in steps - yank one apart and goof around with it (no biggie)
not worry'ing about putting 'cap' back on
just wrap some wire and attempt / practice putting it into coil body

it will all fall into place (like all of us were at one time)

waste some wire, make a few (even if ugly) but just start
nothing to loose, stuff is cheap (and no one is lookin') :rickroll:

cheech, how did you get that base in the piece of wood?
I used a small wood screw and put it through the center of an old Ego top into the wood,
I screw the T3 base to that. I use this set up as it's stable, easy to work with, makes removing
the cap and replacing it a whole lot easier.
As you can see in the video, I like using it to hold the coil base while wicking too.

1) Don't inhale. You can vape and get your nicotine without inhaling--vape like you would smoke a cigar or a pipe. I do it often to give my lungs a break. It's fun.

And...remember...there are significantly more nicotine receptors in the nasal mucosa than in the mouth/throat mucosa.

So...when you're taking your Non-Lung Hit...exhale through the nose...:headbang:

i think gracie is stuck at taking the cap off - to pry something loose you got to have a firm grip :(

cheech, how did you get that base in the piece of wood?

People kept saying, "Cheech, get a grip, man!" So he finally did.

Is this the base you use?

He's probably still using all his mods with 510 connection. :D

The simplest solution--and it will also check your resistance:

$7.55 Atomizer Resistance Tester (Ohm Meter) - 510 connector / 2*AA / stainless steel + plastic at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
I have one of those, Katya, and I actually did get the cap off by using it. But, I think I almost ripped it in half in the process. Struggled, twisted, pulled, turned and cussed up a storm. Came back to it a few minutes later and it slipped right off. I have no idea how I did it...lol. Haven't tried again. Waiting on another 1.5 coil to get used up before I try.

why not a 510, cheech?
I just happened to have a couple laying in the scrap box from old, dead Ego batteries.
Not sure what you mean by 510?
The Ego top just lent itself to being screwed to a board and providing stability.
I too, have numbness in my hands, dropsy and deteriorating vision, hence the lighted
magnifying glass and my "wicking board".
The absolute easiest way to remove the cap is detailed in the video on the blog by @IMRs !
