Oh man, I was hoping the finish would hold up. That's one great thing about the gray one. I am hard on mine because I am wrapping it anyway and it has a couple of dings but you can't really see them due to the color. I am really worried that I will mark up my white one, though. I think I will get a clear wrap for that one.

I've had my white one since they first hit the shelves and there is not a scratch on it. I use it every day for hours on end. Of course, I haven't dropped it, but I do constantly pick it up and set it down. I have yet to see any of the bottom paint rub off.

Has anybody disassembled the istick 100 TC?

I've removed the four screws in the battery bays, but those plastic pieces are held together tight up top by some means I can't determine. May be press fit or glue, and I'm afraid of sacrificing my one sample to find out.
Djlsb vapes disassembles it in his recently posted review.

That's great to hear! I really love the finish on the white one. I have a teeny tiny little ding in mine because I accidentally played bumperr cars with a few of my mods. They were sitting next to me on a side table and I reached for one and knocked the whole stable over and onto the floor. DOH! One of them much have hit the edge right by the lock button because there's a little bit of paint chipped off. Makes me so sad. :( It isn't noticeable to anyone but me, but still. Time to put a clear wrap on it and keep it away from the mean mods, lol.

One of my 50Ws died recently, quietly in its sleep. It was over a year old. I ran it over with a tractor last summer. So it did fine considering I tried to kill it.

But, the rest of the stable has been fine until Mr. TC here started ghost lighting.
That's how my 50w died, too. Peacefully in it's sleep. That's the one and only iStick I have ever had an issue with. I'm sorry to hear you are having problems with the screen on your 100w TC. I hope it's new enough that you can get that replaced!

Lol... I forgot it was you with the stable of i100s (just the one here). :p

The two TC100s make #7 & #8 for me. Only flat out death so far is one of the three i30s after a mere four or five months, about five months ago. I have much more confidence in the new generation starting with the TC40.

Still, sucks to have a dodgy one. :(
yeah the tc40w was a game changer for me. I bought it to replace my I30 that grew legs :( I think I payed $35 for it @ a BnM in BFE. I didnt even know what the TC stood for at the time, just thought id like the extra ten watts. I was close to buying the I100 instead cuz it was only $5-$10 more but I didnt like the external battery. So glad I didnt cuz im loving temp control! its amazing my TC100w was $29 on 101 vape and I paid $6 more for my TC40w 6 months earlier. tha vape game changes quicker than an OCD mom smelling dirty diapers.

Been discussing with him about parallel vs series amp draw in the comment section. Man he's stubborn.

I'll check that out.

My sqonk conversion won't be as straightforward as I thought. T-shaped circuit board extends right next to the underside of the 510. Will have to notch it, affix the new 510 a bit differently or go custom with a new 510. Gonna proceed though. It's still doable, just not as easy.

Just received one of the two I ordered. The gray one. First impressions. Finish is good. Firing lock a little stiff, which is probably a good thing. Added a couple LG hg2's. Ohms read accurately. I like the firing button. Setup went easily. Vaping nice in SS mode with a 26 gauge SS coil at .55 ohms. I'll know more after using it for a few days but looks like it might give my cuboid some competition. Like the screen better on the cuboid.

Well... I've had mine for a week now and I like it less.

However... it's only marginally so and it's for exactly the UI reasons I expected, having "played" with the adjustments more now than I'll need to in the future.
I like it tremendously and am glad I ordered two... haven't even opened that one yet. :p

--- The switching delay between modes is "too damn high". Period.
And I haven't found a way to click to shorten it (click release; multi-click; etc.).

--- Adjusting watts in TC is a pain. Period.
And if you twitch while doing it... you've switched to the next mode.
Aaaaand... you're back to the first problem.

Both of these come up more with a new device while testing the performance.
I expect I'll both adjust a bit myself, and need the adjustments less.
And it's nowhere near as annoying as the P4Y menu on my D2.

I guess I'm just disappointed (not in the overall mod... that rocks).
With all the variants at hand within the stable at JT/Wismec/Eleaf... how the hell did some manager sign off on this set-up? Y U no vape bro? o_O

You can't possibly use this and not prefer the company's other arrangements.
Even the big brother VT's jog wheel (ie: pre v3.1 VTC). :p

-Vent complete... entering cool-down mode :)

i just had one of the bottom magnets come out from the bottom part of the body(not one of the doors). im guessing some type of glue to stick it back in will fix it though.
I had one of the bottom magnets come out on the second day or so. Loctite, but make sure that you orient the magnet the right way.

Has anyone got a jwrap or any other wrap for theirs? My one main complaint about my tc100w so far is just how slippery it is in my hand. I wonder if a jwrap might fix that...

Oh yeah, I also hate how quickly the paint is chipping off but that could be fixed with a good jwrap too...
