I wonder if an ultrasonic cleaner would clean used atomizers enough so they could be reused and have their life extended?
Anyone tried this???
I went back and put it in for a few more cycles. It's a 1.5 'Air coil.
Not sure if it's any good at all (I got it out of my junk pile and it looks pretty much, 'done'), but I just did this for an example. :)

IMRs, with my coils, I still have to dry burn them to get that last little bit of residue off. I'm glad yours get that clean. Mine don't. :(
Maybe just let it go more cycles and see what happens. Sure wish the cycle wasn't 3 minutes and was a little more, but I think they put a 3 minute cycle on it for safety?? I guess. Whatever, but it is a really cool machine. I never knew they existed until I heard Cheech talk about it. :)

I love mine! But I guess some of my coils are gunkier than others. Most come out very clean and I love how it cleans my tanks!

Mine has up to an 8 minute cycle. I wish it had 30 min. I usually do at least 3 cycles on the old carbs if they have a lot of varnish. Good also for cleanin cams, valves, bearings, gears, or anything else that'll fit. I'll have to try some coils in it. That's a good price for a small one, does it have heat too?

I am curious if ultrasonic units can clean coils and the cotton getting rid of the carbon buildup
so they no longer have burnt or BAD TASTE?

no one is answering this question yet?
I am interested if they will extend the life of atomizers?

My Nautilus Mini TC atomizers cost almost $20 for 5 coils

They certainly generate enough heat on their own from warm water...
The heated ones are pretty spendy.
I have to use the cut-off water bottle in order to rehab my razors:

Yeah mine was about 90 bucks I think (supposedly 1/2 price :)). Still a good value. It's saved me a lot of work and makes cleanin parts a piece of hoecake. It would probably clean coils like new in one cycle.

Your coil and cotton look brand new after ultrasonic cleansing

The question is will it clean a fouled coil TASTE to back to like new condition?

No idea. I mentioned that I'd probably do that tomorrow. By the way, that's a stock GS Air coil (dual) with silica. :)

When I saw the carb and your observations on it's performance figured it was a big boy!
It's not your average little ring and bracelet cleaner. :) Maybe I'll mount a washin machine motor on the side of it and give her more vibration power

IMR Thank You very much

I think this would be terrific if ultrasonic cleaning works to extend TC atomizers use time and removes the carbon and restores good taste

This would for sure pay for getting one
