I hope you DO get there, alden. That place hold memories like no one would believe...

:(

My friend, Jason Shaeffer, opened and owned that store. It was one of the few firsts in So Cal. It was a WONDERFUL and magical place. There were the most amazing vape meets on the patio of his store, before most knew the term "vape meet". Beautiful Laguna, beautiful Jason. One of the most magnificent vape teachers, a selfless giver, ...... sorry, I can't go on. :(

Still stings badly.

RIP, Jason.

I read and studied very carefully several times ALL THE REPORTS AND think it was a bogus reaction from all sides

Lets move on! Its over

Kisses

I don't. But that's all over now.

However, they did have those tiny, respirable fiberglass particles (under 5µ) that you really, really don't want in your lungs--they cause silicosis. (Chart made by Boden to show the size of amorphous silica fiber used in silica rope (22-32µ)--the safe kind--in comparison to the unsafe crystalline silica fibers).

Water under the bridge.

Moving on.

Carry on.

Do we know what this sintering process does to the wires? Heating them for a prolonged period up to 1,200 degrees centigrade?

Sintering ceramics has nothing to do with heating wires of a coil, there made separately in this instance at different times/stages of manufacture

Also vaping battery powered atomizers get nowhere near 1,200 degrees centigrade even for seconds to the best of my knowledge

Sintering - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jump to Ceramic sintering - Sintering is the process of compacting and forming a solid mass of material by heat and/or pressure without melting it to the point of liquefaction. Sintering happens naturally in mineral deposits or as a manufacturing process used with metals, ceramics, plastics, and other materials.

How can this be possible when one part of the wire is embedded in the coil while the ends are sticking out? I looked at my coil carefully and I can see that with a naked eye.

    Hi all!

Haven't been here in a long while! I've been using solely my one and only 30 since Mar., charging as a PT in the evening and then all the following day. My 20 as a backup only because I get too distracted to remember the evening charging time. :)

I'm going to retire this 30 at the year mark, just because.

Is the 40 still good for a replacement??
Not planning on TC and only vape @6W, but...

I don't use TC and am enjoying my iStick 40W just fine. I vape around 7 watts most of the time. 1.5ohm GS air coil.

I would buy another 40W TC if my 20 or 30 ever dies

and I really like it using TC COILS

Hey All: I'm real Happy with all my iSticks! I like the 40's for the TC option and the 100's Work Great with the Atlantis Mega Tanks on Em! The 20's and 30's are Great Little Mods for Everyday Duty Very Handy and Stealthy!

Would like to Try the 60 TC maybe add to the collection!

Been Thinking of Trying the Vaporesso Ceramic cCell Coils in some of my Atlantis Tanks!

Heck, it might be better, lol. Between the power delivery choice and crappy threads, the 20 wasn't that impressive. Still a game changer for what it was.

Yea, I own a 50w clone as well. I really like the istick but after researching the 50 I don't like Eleaf.

I have two 50 watt iSticks - Eleaf. One started firing on it own!?? I'll be sitting here and all of a sudden it starts firing. I press fire button thinking it will disengage but No it keeps firing! I take the Tank off and hit the top square on counter and it stops and works fine. Hours later it's firing on its own again!?? Is it possessed?

Anyone else having problems like this?

Unfortunately, it's a known issue that has been widely discussed here... I suggest you contact your vendor and manufacturer. They should replace it.

Honestly? Spend enough time with ecig equipment and there are reasons to not like most manufacturers.
