I got the Pico today, and put a Serpent Mini on it. I guess I got it set up ok I guess. Got it to read watts, and set it where I like it, and it's woking good. :)
Can you check to see what firmware version it has? Seems I saw in a review that 20 rapid clicks got you there, but that didn't seem to work, or maybe I skip a beat or something. Not sure I want to up grade anyway, as I only use the vw mode only.

5 clicks Off... then 20 clicks at about 3/sec will show the v number on, I believe, any of the current JTech TC mods.

But we've only got two possibilities so far on the Pico.

If the battery bar is small and vertical (like all the others)... it's v 1.00
If it's larger and horizontal... that's v 1.01.

If it's larger and horizontal... that's v 1.0.1 (??? I don't have it myself, not sure of the numbering scheme on this one).

1.00 or 1.01. In addition to the 20 click method you can download the firmware package, unzip it, plug in the pico and launch the UpdateEleaf.exe and it will show the installed version. Chances are it came with 1.00, all of mine did.

Oops... brain fart.
I did the 20 click before posting and for some reason my brain saw an extra decimal point.
Must have comp s/w version format on the brain.

I'll edit my post. :p

Ok, I have v1, kinda figured it would be.
I really like the size of this, and I like the button action also.
Is the cable that comes with it a decent data cable?

It works fine for updating the firmware which is all I use it for. I updated the firmware on all 7 or 8 pico's I own with the provided cable to get rid of that annoying dropping wattage bug.

Side note: my IStick 200TC has a similar bug where it will just randomly drop my watts by 0.3 when I wake it up or fire it but there is no firmware update for that yet that I could find. I have been running it at 72.5w and when I woke it up this morning it was at 72.2. Late in the day after using it off and on it was at 71.5.

I've been using it with it locked. But Damn It puts out so much vape now, and I can't hardly get it to get real hot. Got the temp set on 550 f and it isn't even very warm. But I am almost drinking the tank with how fast I am going through it. Filled it twice today. And twice in 12 hours yesterday. This titanium coil is crazy on how much vape it puts out. It feels like I am drinking the juice.

What's the resistance, out of curiosity? And you're hitting temp protection at 75W? or? I usually use celsius but depending on the coil I have to set it relatively cool if I want the temp protection to work how it's supposed to... but I'm mostly using stainless. I have some nickel that I don't use often and otherwise just have some Ti stock heads for the melo that I use sparingly. I think the last one I used was actually on my 60W.

So yeah, maybe it's just that I forget how Ti works, honestly! I mean, forget how it vapes. I'll have to take out one of those EC heads soon...

ed: The RX200 also has a .1 wattage drop bug, at least sometimes it seems. I'm fully updated on that.

I got a new Full Black Pico in the mail today and it still had 1.0 on it. I upgraded my original Pico to 1.01 and I think I'm going to keep the new one at 1.0 for now... I don't like not having the voltage displayed in wattage mode, personally.

Is there any reason I should really update my second Pico?

0.45 ohm and it hits tp at like 15 watt. I can set it to 75 watt and it still dont go over 17 watt. It hits tp real quick.

Yeah, and SS definitely does not tend to work like that. At least for my vaping style, mods that have a little more power tend to work a bit better with stainless but it depends. I really will try out one of those Ti heads again soon. I just don't like building with it, personally.
I spaced my coils out pretty far maybe double wire width. So maybe thats why it wont get as hot as i want.

Not if you don't mind the wattage dropping 0.1 every time you change a battery or atomizer/tank, don't want to customize the logos and don't want to use smart mode. I never pay attention to the volts so the new firmware was win win win for me.

That's odd. I have ohms locked and now it reads 0.44 it was 0.45 a few minutes ago. Maybe fozzi meant the ohms would drop 0.1?

i meant the watts. Cant recall locked ohms ever changing. the wattage drop I noticed on my house mates picos since she vapes in watt mode for mtl. I primarily use my picos in tc mode. it was every time I changed a battery for sure and pretty sure it happened when I changed the atty in a tank or took off her nautilus to refill it then put it back on. minor bug regardless.

Im going to start recording my ohms now because I know it just dropped 0.1 exactly because i just posted it at 0.45 a bit ago. I think im going to try dual titanium coils to get more heat. I get a lot of vapor but its cold no matter the temp settings.

Gearbest is having a flash sale on Pico's. $22.60.

I had not used GearBest in a long time. So a month a go I placed a small order. They used PostNL as the shipper. Yesterday I see tracking info, saying "2016-08-22 23:04 Arrived at PostNL – Item not allowed (X-ray) and rejected". GB support just keeps saying, "check with my local post office". I told them I'll give them a week to issue me a refund, then I'll file with PayPal. Doubt I'll ever use Gearbest again.
