since eleaf put out a firmware file for the pico a while back, has anyone used the FW editor to any extent customizing their pico? i don't even use mine anymore so i'm less nervous about screwing something up now, but would like to play with the software.
There are a couple of mod patches for the 1.01 firmware (Buttons Clicks & Screen Timeout) but nothing yet for the 1.02 firmware.

You can always modify fonts but there is not a lot you can do on a 96x16 screen...

Custom Firmware for Vape Mods | RX200, Cuboid, eVic-VTC Mini & More!

not much to do with the pico tho. i managed to make so fonts that didn't fit so well on my pico's screen, lol.
Yea, I just messed with it a little. Not much customization options to choose from. All you can do is change the static images and letters. I thought I could at least edit the animations, but I can't find anywhere to do that. But at least someone is writing software that can edit the .bin files. Maybe we will get one that gets into much more advanced editing like power and temp curves.

for a work mod, first it was my ipv d2 then i bought the pico now the pico has been replaced with a smy dna75. the pico was a great work mod but now that i take my griffin 25 with me work, it doesn't fit on the pico and the 510 heat sink adapter i could use to make it fit larger tanks messes up TC.

Thanks for confirming that those added heat sink adapters are not good for TC. I constantly see people recommending them as a solution for various issues, and for VV/VW power only users it probably doesn't matter, but for TC you don't want to add more connections and resistances. I'm sure it will come up again and again.

The Authentic Vulcan heat sinks from Japan have a threaded 510 pin and are fully adjustable. You can adjust/tighten the connection so they work perfectly with TC.

Mostly all the clones have floating pins and are not threaded, that will cause problems with TC for sure. Like most things in the vape game, why would anyone spend $20 on a single authentic heat sink when they can get 2 from china for $5...

Advice please,
I just ordered a Pico!
Could you guys recommend a Tank for MTL. Best for flavor as Im not a cloud chaser and prefer stealth.

I don't want to build coils anymore, so one i can just buy coils for. I vape high nic and low/med wattage.

Tobeco, Goblin mini, ????
Thx!

Maybe something like this tried–and–true combo (1.6 or 1.8ohm)
$10.79 Kabuki Styled BCC Bottom Coil Clearomizer - 3ml / 316 stainless steel + glass at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
$7.90 Authentic Aspire Nautilus Mini BVC Clearomizer Replacement Coil Head (5-Pack) 5-pack - 1.8ohm at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Nautilus Mini, Nautilus X, maybe the Cubis line but some people seem to have issues with those although they work for me. The Kanger Toptanks are another candidate as you can get 1.2 ohm MTL coils for them and you can dial back the airflow.

My suggestion...

Great MTL (with Adjustable Air Flow) 4ml. Tank (Bottom Filling...but pretty quick/easy):

Joyetech eGo ONE Mega V2 Tank

CLR coils-Very flavorful, dense vapor. Are "meant" to be rebuildable...but the coil (for me) lasts 4-5 weeks right out of the blister pack. (Then, I just throw it into a baggie for the [unlikely] day I'd ever decide to try rewicking/rebuilding):

Joyetech CLR Coils (5 pack)

..

eGo ONE is a great choice as in tootle puffin'

also think about using one of the many, many tanks that utilize the aspire Atlantis/Nautilus coils
it should open the door to wide variety of choices that should please anyone...

eg: Aspire - Aspire Atlantis EVO

Thx everyone for your suggestions !!11

I will get a tighter draw drip tip for the Mello III and run 1.8 BVC coils
Ordered a Triton Mini
Ordered Fubuki clone and will run 1.8 coils also

I ordered aspire 1.8 clapton coils and 1.8 BVC coils to see which I will prefer

For you MTL vapers, Can u recommend a tighter draw drip tip that will look cool on top of these SS tanks, metal i suspect....

THX!!!
