How do you get the number flashing on the Pico? Fire sets the chosen interface.

...duh
well now, in my haste I just grabbed my VTC mini and went thru the motions figuring it was the same as the PICO

but come to find my PICO doesn't even have ANY COUNTERs

I have the newer brushed silver / all black versions and 20 fast clicks tells me I have firmware version 1.0

so a qwik look tells me there is v 1.01 out (which I care not about getting)

and I guess that's what ya'll are talking about...

sorry about my dumbfounded misleading

I'm a loser...

If you update the firmware you'll have a puff timer. Lack of that was my only criticism of the Pico. Now it has that so, how to reset. There's a big prize for the first person to come up with the answer. I don't know what the prize is yet but I'm sure it's big.

Ha Ha not a problem good sir!
The latest firmware is V1.03 which brings back the Volt reading as well as a puff counter and total runtime counter.

On the Cuboid you select the counter and hit fire to reset it like the VTC Mini.

The magic of Chinese Firmware... There is no option to reset the counters. I just sat there for a half hour testing out combinations trying to reset them and you can't. I didn't pull the battery to see if it did it, but somehow I doubt it will.

You could reset them if you really had to by flashing the firmware again. But you would have to setup your custom TCR values again, switch it over to F from C and bring the TC wattage down from the default of 75W.

Firmware 1.04 will most likely fix that shortcoming and introduce a new one.

I just don't feel that the DNA preheat adds that much over setting the watts higher.

Its a marketing gimick is all. Preheat on a DNA TC device is completely worthless and needless added complexity.

YiHi chips will 'rattle snake' (or noticeably 'pulse') if the power is set to high so preheat makes sense on those devices.

If you want your coil to heat up faster just turn up the wattage. I disabled the feature on both my DNA75's.

I wrote to eleaf about reseting the puff timer. They wrote back and said the only way to do it is reflash the firmware. That's annoying but not a deal breaker. When I want to track puff time I make a note of the starting value and do the math at the end of the period.

I ran a somewhat used LG HG2 to empty on a Pico and got 1034 seconds. Then I ran down a new Basen Black 26650 to empty on a Mega and got 1400 seconds. In both cases I used the same atomizer and build and the same settings on both devices. My estimate is the Mega can have 30% more endurance than a Pico running my setup (400 degrees, 30 max watts, 1.4 ohm coil). I'm glad to have the Mega but the Pico is still the most practical device for me most days.

I just updated and one thing I already miss is viewing the wattage in TC SS mode. I can change the interface to view volts only. Why did they get rid of the wattage?
Watts in TC mode is a set and forget thing, it controls how fast the coil ramps up to set the temperature.

Sorry if this has been asked about before. I got the Pico 80 watt with SS-support. Can I use TC with the orginal 0.5 ohm SS DVC coils?
The iSub SS BVC coils are supposed to be SS 316L, so setting your Pico on SS should allow you to use TC with them.

I meant the live watt display while you fire in tc mode. I cant see how high they are going, or if the preheat is working correctly. Its like they swapped live watt display for voltage. Should give option to choose.
