Indeed, like my VaporShark DNA200, most TC devices you set the wattage to get the ramp up to your selected temperature, then the device just supplies the needed wattage to keep it at that temperture for the length of the vape. Vape in front of a mirror, look at the screen, as soon as you see "temperture protected ", look at how low the wattage goes down. Do an experiment at 35 watts, my normal setting, and 75 watts, in TC mode, doubt you'll notice much difference.

What some argue is does vaping in TC mode increase or decrease battery run time versus vaping in power mode VV/VW. I'm in the camp that TC mode uses less battery as it throttles the power/wattage after it quickly reaches your chosen temperature.

Wattage jumps up and down on the Pico in TC mode too if anyone was unsure or curious.

The current line-up (in this range) are all the same "engine".
When the update versions are caught up, like now... they all share features and performance.

- TC100, RX, VTC, Cuboid, Presa and now PICO.

Joyetech makes them all.
And all function the same, with minor accommodations for button and screen layouts.

Very true. The 12 hours only really makes sense for me specifically because it's based on how I vape. I get about 9 or 10 hours on 2600 mAh, about 12 hours on the 3000 mAh LG, "a full day" on the 3600 mAh Tesla and so on. The odd thing is it feels like I hit it constantly all day, but based on other people's usage, I must not. I have a feeling I just don't hit it nearly as long as some people. My drags are no where near as long as you see in youtube videos.
I have been using a vtc mini for the past couple months. The setup I run is in the signiture below. I know I vape 7 ml's per day. That's a fairly steady number. I reset the puff timer every day. My typical day is 900-1100 seconds on the puff timer so 1,000 / 60 secconds = 16.6 minutes of firing time. I use an LG HG2, In the few tests I've done it goes all day and vaporizes the entire 7 ml. According to the steam engine calculator the LG HG2, at my usual 30 watts in TC mode should fire for 20 minutes.

well that definatley explains your short ramp up time! lol how long do a set of Batterys last you in TC? I figured since it cuts out at a certain temp anyway as long as it didnt ramp up too slowly I was okay. Im wondering if it makes a difference battery wise in these devices where your watts are set? I mean like the difference between 75w and 100w not 40w and 100w If the pico and TC120 work the same as the TC40 it drops the wattage to adjust temp so maybe it would just drop quicker or something? idk just a ponder hehe not sure about mad skillz but im a tinkerer! #A.D.D.VAPER lol

Ha! I like your hashtag much better than mine. :D I think I am going through batteries faster in TC but it's hard for me to know for sure because I use multiple mods during the day. The iStick has been in pretty constant use since I got this tank on Friday, and I have changed batteries once (yesterday) and I am down to 1 bar right now. That's still over 24 hours but I usually get a couple of days out of one set on the TC120 (I like it!). I'm okay with that since it means no ramp up time. Once a day is doable for me. :D

in vape time, how many hours a battery will last you is largely an irrelevant number, since we all vape differently.....even when using the same wattage/coil type etc.....like length of puff, how many times you hit on it per hour yadda yadda :p

best measurement is ml's of liquid consumed
Isn't that subjective, too, though? It would depend on the ratio, how long people draw (I take loooooong draws), etc. When I performed a test on the iStick I kept track of both the number of tanks I went through and how long the battery lasted because I know people measure differently. I think it's all subjective, but at least it gives a rough idea. Right? Or no?

the ratio will affect consumption a bit, true, but draw length, not really..I mean, yes it will go faster, but still in relation to battery usage ;)
there will always be SOME variance, but ml of juice consumption gives a far better benchmark then how many hours/days your mod lasts before needing a charge

I'm really loving the looks, form factor and pocket-ability of the mod. Time will tell if it holds up of course. Though the window looks small, it's the brightest and clearest screen I currently have and the info is at least as large if not larger.

So far so good with the tank (now that I have it open). After several refills with a .5 Triton Clapton installed, it hasn't leaked at all and performs as expected.

I have a 3000mAh LG HG2 20A battery in it. As long as I keep it under 60 watts, it should be fine, and considering a rarely go above 40, I don't think I'll ever pull more than 13 amps.

I love threads with pictures, so if anyone is curious about some comparisons, here you go.....

First mod on the left- what is it?

so I got my 2 Picos Saturday, Gray & Pink

Pink is perfect, works great...
Gray one is broke, can’t increase power ; (+) broke/won’t work/makes NO contact ? :(
I have several eleaf devices and it is the first to ever give me any trouble…

moving on, the PICO works like my other eleaf gear - simple & effective
I’ve come to find maybe it is too small, as I am ALWAYS looking for the fire button...

bonus :my eGo ONE tanks all fit the Pico as if they came with it !
ego one Mega 22mm (4ml) is about .5mm shorter than the Melo III mini
but the sexyest is the ego one 19mm (1.8ml) IT REALLY LOOKS GOOD on the Pico
short and super stealthy (the 2.5ml is darn sweet too)

kinda seems like battery life is not so great… ?
Ti (.45Ω) temp control worked as advertised…

now have to wait and see what MVS will do about customer service
I REFUSE to pay ANY postage to make it right, so we’ll see…

That's about how much I vape too, but you make a great point that I didn't write in my post - On average I'm usually around 37 watts. At 30 watts, I would get an iStick 30 to last all day. I grabbed an iStick 40 originally because 30 felt like a little less than I wanted but when I did that, combined with my how I vape, I couldn't make it all day on one charge. If I could get the LG HG2 to last all day in TC mode, I might consider switching to TC full time. If not, I'll probably go back to wattage mode. No biggie swapping out a battery - or even a mod for that matter.

TC is power control with a temperature limit added to the mix. Set the temp limit as high as you want and vape the watts you would normally and see what happens. (If you are using stainless wire a comparison is easier.)

Has anybody ordered one of these through efuntoo? Or ordered from them in the past? I see they still offer Epacket shipping to Canada. I have a preorder with fasttech but am thinking of cancelling it to avoid the month travel time:). Thanks
Ive ordered with Efun.top never really a problem. About 2 weeks tops to the USA.

:)

so I got home Sat afternoon about 4pm and my Picos were in the mail
within an hour I discovered the gray Pico was faulty and emailed MVS...
being they were closed (after hours) I had to wait till Monday Morn for a response...
so let the battle begin…

•Monday morn 10:45am I get an email:
" I'll go ahead and have a replacement mod shipped out to you along with a prepaid return label for the defective iStick. "

•Monday morn 10:48am I get an email with tracking #
- - -
I just sent a short/sweet email to establish, expecting some back-n-forth,
but NO questions, MVS just sprang into action & took care of bizzness - I LIKE THAT !

now that is stand-up Customer Service !
