No question!! Granted, for someone used to a 5mL tank and 1.5ohm coils (just for example), it might be a bit more of a pain/just seem like a lot of filling. However, it is about as easy as filling an RDA and certainly holds more and lasts longer between fills so for me it's nothing. I usually like a slightly larger tank but the Melo 3 mini is so cute and works so well and again because of the top fill, I almost consider the capacity a benefit due to the extremely small size.

Beyond capacity and top filling, how do you like the Cubis?

And if you think 3.5mL is EXTREMELY small, imagine how often I refill that 2mL Melo 3 Mini! ;)

I hate to repeat a question but I fear it might have gotten a bit buried; can anyone confirm what other brand coil heads work in the Melo 2/3 besides Eleaf's own? Pretty sure Atlantis II heads work but not sure what else.
I heard the Triton coils work. I have a Triton RBA head (Triton long gone) so I coiled & wicked, it fits & works but it doesn't screw in completely makes it 1mm more gap than when using the stock coil. But it works.

Taken from FastTech:

Flavor TC:
1) Aspire Clapton coil in TC mode is by far the best Flavor and ok price.
2) Aspire Triton SS316 0.4ohm awsome lasting flavor in TC or VV!

Flavor VW:
1) Aspire Clapton
2) Herakles 0.6 Ka
3) Eleaf 0.3 Ka
4) Triton SS316 0.4ohm

Flavor/Life VW
1) Herakles 0.6 ka
2) Triton SS316
3) Eleaf 0.3 Ka
4) Aspire Clapton

Flavor/Life TC
1) Triton SS316 0.4
2) Aspire Clapton

The Melo 3 apparently takes a lot of the Aspire compatible coils + the eJust (iJust?) ECR if you feel like rebuilding.

That battery is a very low amp battery. If memory serves me right it's around 7 amp. That battery is no good for sub ohming imo. I'm not sure what your putting it in(looks like a ileaf pico) that battery wouldn't hold up. What will happen is it will probably work but it's going to get very hot and discharge very very fast. I would be very cautious.
Furthermore, the chemistry is more volatile than one would wish.

Li-ion Battery Test-Review-Specs: Panasonic NCR18650B 3400mah Amp Limit & 18650 Battery Datasheet

You can usually Google search the battery and find a spec sheet or someone who has tested the amp limit of the battery. Never go by what the manufacture says as many times these numbers are not accurate. A forum user, mooch does a lot of testing for the community and if you look up his name I'm sure you will find all of his tests which test the most popular batteries used by vapers.
The ratings stated by actual battery manufacturers - LG, Sony, Panasonic, Samsung - are usually correct. Those stated by rewrappers, not so much.

Good point. I mean honestly, besides needing local availability, I always question why one wouldn't go with snake brand battery. Especially with what lg has been doing.

That battery should most definitely not be used in a mech mod!

Thanks for letting me know. You are the second person to say so. The only reason I used an unprotected battery is because I was told a mech mod will trigger the protection circuit too often in other batteries. Is that actually the case? How about if I use one of the HG batteries that go with the Pico? Any other suggestions? Here is a picture of the mech mod I am using - made of copper and firing button on the bottom.

Protected batteries are also a no no. They use a volatile chemistry and have a low continuous amp rating. Check Mooch's tests in the battery subforum. I'd use the LG hg2 or Samsung 30q due to the battery capacity, as long as my watts were lower than 60.

Good point. I mean honestly, besides needing local availability, I always question why one wouldn't go with snake brand battery. Especially with what lg has been doing.

Unfortunately, with great success... comes great amounts of counterfeiting. It happened with the VTC5, it will happen with the LG Browns (as folks around my parts like to call the HB4/HG2... and most local vapers don't really know the difference between the two either sadly enough). ATM, there's so much Brown batts being sold locally that I'm pretty much cynical as for their authenticity.

Heck, even if they aren't counterfeit (or at least reskinned HE2s sold as HG2s), there's always concerns that the Browns they sell over here are from the C-pile rather than the more reliable B-grades. Local sellers being as unscrupulous as they are.

It doesn't help that LG stuff aren't marked in a way that makes authentication as easy as with... say, Samsung stuff.

Personally, I use a trio of Sammy 25Rs that I got along with the Pico (from a local B&M - thankfully authentic, but slightly overpriced as always) and one does generally last me an entire workday's worth of heavy-ish vaping at 30W... so I'm good for now.

Hmmm ... I automatically assumed LG hg2 was a protected battery .... BTW I never go below 1 ohm or above 1.3 ohm in my coils.

... even though the sleeve printing is woefully not consistant)

They are consistant.
It's just that they're date and batch codes, so they're not identical.

Sorry I don't have the decoder ring, but I've seen the look-up tables for a couple of brands.
I'm sure Googling could find them for you.

IIRC, nothing we use in high drain INR/IMR chemistry is "protected". Nothing.
It creates an unwanted/unacceptable drain and/or voltage sag.

But it is safer (read: less "cranky") chemistry than ICR.
So we take the trade off for better performance.

Now that I'm looking at them again, yeah they're actually consistent, as far as the data being printed is concerned.

It's the quality of the printing on the sleeves themselves that varies. And before you start saying that they're fakes for sure because of this, the labeling underneath the sleeve looks legit and the etchings on top (beneath the + terminal) and at the bottom *do* exist so I'm a little bit unsure lol.

Maybe it was a bad day at the sleeving line or something.

Yeah the Atlantis/Triton I & II coils work (not mini), including the Triton 1.8 for MTL. cCells work as well. Those are the only ones I can personally confirm.

As others have said, none of the high drain batteries we use are protected.

Resistance doesn't matter on a regulated mod. The amp draw is determined by the watts and the battery voltage.

The alleria doesnt fit on the pico. Tried it, alleria's a 23mm tank.

I've tried an Aromamizer, 23mm too, and it fits...

It fits with my Billows V3[emoji41]

From what I have seen the pico is spec'd at 23mm which is what the alleria is supposed to be. If the 23mm aromamizer sits flush as does the billow v3 I wonder why the alleria wouldn't. @rice726 are you sure the alleria doesn't sit flush on the pico? Is it actually larger than the 23mm or something?
