I've had my Picos for a bit over a month now.
They immediately became my primary device.
Turns out getting 2 WAS the right move!
Thanks all for posting.
mod pic 2.jpg

The size is the biggest plus for me.
Love how short it is.
The +1/2" width is surprisingly noticeable though.
Takes some use to find the comfortable way to hold it.
The 60w width is a more perfect fit for my hand.
But I do prefer short over tall, so Pico it is.

The screen is the brightest of the bunch and the magnification is a tad larger,
making it the easiest screen to read. Nice!

As a fiddler, the button location is not ideal, but not a deal breaker.
Just have to use a 'claw' grip to adjust them with one hand. (ha!)

The fire button has changed and now curves around the mod,
and is not as 'clicky' as the others - more muted with a softer feel.

Got some LG HG2 3000mAh batteries.
They are well worth the extra $2 over the Samsung INR18650-25R 2500 mAh IMO.

Anyone on the fence, just get one.
$29 at VapeNW.
Now to get a couple of the black on black!

How's the KronNano on the Pico? Looks like a good combination.

And @Danousa, I think the Merlin fits. I think. Some guy over at "the other forum" preordered it for his Pico already IINM.

I love my iStick Pico but not totally sold on my Melo 3 or Triton mini for flavor.

I'm tired of going to my local shop and trying new flavors, finding one I like and then bringing it home and not having the same full flavor experience. I was trying to keep things as simple as possible but I rather have great flavor so starting to look into a RDA/RTA and need help picking one.

I would like something that I can use without having to add juice every couple of minutes but other than that I just want great flavor.

What should I be looking at?
Is there a list of tanks that fit the Pico?

How about the 10ml Hotcig Big Tank (Big German M1 clone). :w00t:

Or a 10ml extended Kayfun Undead. :w00t:

Who here has or tried the following:

Wotofo SERPENT MINI
Goblin mini v2
Griffin
Gemini

This will be my first RTA but I really want great flavor and the Melo 3 mini and Triton mini aren't cutting it
out of curiosity....have you tried the cCell ceramic target coil in your melo III? I have the .9 ohm one in mine at the moment, and I am getting pretty darned good flavor from it.

I have the GMv2, and unless you're very proficient at wicking pressure differential channel-feeders (aka Kayfuns and the like), you might find it to be a huge PITA to work with if you like your rebuilding to be hassle-free. Also, not a velo-deck means that getting your coil(s) centered can also be a pain.

I do love the GMv2's driptip though... but that isn't really a good reason to buy one lol.

Now using the GeekVape "Baby" Avocado (the old, 22mm version), and not only is the entire setup much, much easier from a coiling and wicking point of view (besides *not* blocking the wicking holes, it's pretty much foolproof), the 'Cado actually has even better flavour with lunghits than my GMv2 (or even my old Taifun GT) had while MTLing.

That said, being a Genny-like, the 'Cado isn't the most airtight of tanks (they don't like being tipped over too much) and filling it up in dual-coil mode requires a needle-tip bottle or a syringe.

Also, not sure if the 'Cado is MTL-able, if that's of any concern. It does ship with a single coil adapter, but not sure if that would shut off enough airflow to make MTL viable.

Finally, that 3ml rank means frequent refilling for sure. Not that the GMv2 tank was any bigger either.

If you don't mind the cons above, the Baby 'Cado really is a great daily driver tank that's easy to work with and has excellent flavour.

Plus, as a bonus, it looks really good on the Pico.

So, I've built 5 or 6 coils in the ecr. Im using 28 gauge kanthal a1. I've made signal, dual parallel, and twisted coils. I gotta admit its a pain in the buns to build on. There's just no room to work.
Has anyone played with this one in the melo 3?
$2.81 Replacement Rebuildable RBA Coil Head for Atlantis Clearomizer - 0.5ohm at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
I might just pick one up anyway next order.
I just recently got the eleaf ecr and the Triton RTA kit. Not crazy about either, but I had better luck with the Triton. At least I was able to get a workable head built on it, and it's vaping well on the Melo. People tell me the Anyvape rebuildable head is the best for the Triton/Melo tanks, but I don't have one. I think they're about $9 or $10. Apparently, they have posts to wrap the coil legs around like an actual rebuildable head. I'm terrible at building coils because my manual dexterity is pretty much shot. Tiny objects in small areas torture me. I'm thinking of trying the Anyvape.

ETA: Anyvape Sega Tank RDA V2 Coil Head 0.5ohm (1 piece) Fits Atlantis and Melo also It's $5.99 here.

I'll be grabbing at least one of the Anyvapes (v2) soon I think.

The Triton RBA works, but what a bizarre design.
And don't forget to roll "lefty". :p
:D I hear ya. The one that totally baffles me so far, though, is the Cubis rebuildable head. Can't do it. I've already lost the tiny screw for the negative wire (I think there's a spare, but who cares at this point). I've tried four times, and simply can't get a decent coil. The eLeaf and Triton present challenges for me, too, but like I said, at least I got a workable head out of the Triton. Just to torture myself a bit more, I'm also learning to rebuild the eLeaf 1.5 ohm coils, just because my life didn't already have enough misery in it. :-x

I have a couple of those for the AIO.
Had no idea about the difficulties in rebuilding it though, still on the first so I haven't had the ... pleasure... yet. :D

An update on the ecr head. I already tore the bottom gasket, probably by forcing twisted wire in it. It is a soft gasket. I swapped it oit for a gasket from an old Atty and I couldn't get the fancy gold terminal on it because it seems to have a bigger prong(?) On the end, probably to work with the softer gasket better. So I threw an old terminal on it and it seems to be fine. I recommend using the old terminal on the new gasket and maybe you'd be able to fit the bigger wires more comfortably.

This will be my first RTA but I really want great flavor and the Melo 3 mini and Triton mini aren't cutting it

I'm not a fan of the Melo 3 in the flavor department, though I like the tank design. I think it's WISE to get a few RTA's, so if and when we can no longer get prebuilt coils, we are still vaping. My original plan was to use my little tanks and use their add on RBA's, I have a few for each model. Most are harder to build on, they are tiny, most also capture the wires in tiny holes with tiny screws that STRIP real easy, in the base of the RBA, or simply capture the wire by compression under the bottom rubber gasket, or a combination of both techniques. None of them better then capturing the wire on real posts, especially if you like ACCURATE TC vaping!

So I decided to get a few REAL RTA's. Bought a Kayfun 5, just ordered a Serpent Mini, and a Merlin. The Merlin has many great reviews, and if interested in looking at that, I'll paste the ECF thread link below. And besides dripping you end up with the best flavor out of a good tank, and save money making your own coils out of whatever wire you like. I'm a titanium wire fan for too many reasons to go into here.

I have a Goblin Mini v2, and a Pico RTA clone, both dumped their juice tanks, so I put them away for awhile until I can play with the wicking in spare time. The Kayfun 5, does not leak even when laying down. The other two I mentioned I ordered today, but all the reviews say they don't leak, with proper wicking like most RTA's, but some are more fussy, I think the really short ones require more precise wicking. I'm an in between vapor, MTL/DL, so that's what I researched for in airflow, and simple SINGLE COIL build RTA's. Folks will have to do their own homework as everyone has their own vape preferences. One persons MTL is another persons DL tank.

Buying some TRUE RTA's at this point in time, is a SMART move, GOOD LUCK!
