Hum I ordered a few more on September 30th when they said they were pre-ordered and I haven't gotten any more information that mine have shipped. Now I see they have a listing up saying they have them in stock for a higher price and others that ordered them after me are getting noticed that the ones they just ordered are on their way. I wonder what the heck gives with this. I think I'm about over ebay for future purchases of vaping equipment. Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled for those who have ordered and have thiers coming, I am just getting anxious I guess. Anyone else in the same boat as me with VapeNW?

I'd just email them and get an answer. I bought my original silver from them basically when they first came out and it got here within 3 days. Of course Oregon and Washington are neighbors so it didn't take long.

I've been vaping for just over a year now. The first 6 months with Mini Protank 2s and EVOD clearos on regular and vv EVOD batts. For the last 6 months or so I've been using an IGO-s RDA almost exclusively - with maybe a tanks worth a month on a MPT2.

Since I hit a year of "no smokes", I've been meaning to reward myself with a new toy and have been vacillating between a Valkyrie clone, an MVP2, a mech + atty (clones), and a Reo. For whatever reason, when I saw the iStick I immediately thought "That might be just the thing for me!" and started reading and researching. Yes, I read this whole thread. Took me 3 sittings - seems like every time I looked up, another few pages had been added. lol.

I just ordered a full kit from Indy Vapor Shop. Got the silver as I figured it was probably the most durable finish-wise. Hopefully it will fit my needs. It seems that Youde has stopped manufacturing the IGO-s, so since I was placing an order there anyway I also bought an A6 RDA - plus a couple of accessories. For me the most attractive thing about the iStick is the form factor and mAh rating. The timing is perfect as I noticed today that one of my vv EVOD batts isn't holding much of a charge anymore.

Even if I really like the iStick, I'll probably wait for v2 before buying another. A spring-loaded 510 pin would be nice...

BTW, anyone know the largest diameter RDA that can fit on the iStick without any overhang? Will the 20mm Youde attys fit? How about an A7 (19mm?)?

so what is the best ohms and setting for a cooler Vape on these, or is there NO cool Vape with the I stick?

ohms ?
volts?
watts?

I've been doing some field test with high-ohm settings on a Fogger v3 (BTW, my out and about atty now, on an iStick, and yes, the atty is bigger and awfully heavier....) and also with a Trident RDA. I'm not used to higher than 2 ohm atty's, but as the regulating power of the iStick matters, it provides consistent vape from 5 to 10 W without any problems, just the same as a DNA30 clon, from 7 to 20 - 25 W, with resistance settings as high as 2,7 - 2,9 ohm....

But they are not my preferred one, because if I should engage the mechanical mod, those resistances would ruin my vaping experience.... For me, as personal matter and election, the iStick should be run at 1,2 - 1,8 ohm, to take full advantage of the 10 - 20 W capabilities with decent RBA's and RDA's. But with cartomizers and clearomizers the thing could be different, even if I'm running it also with mini Protanks 3 set at 1,5 - 2,0 ohm (mostly with my own rebuilds, not with supplied heads from Kanger).

I've also unsuccessfuly tried a low-ohm setting, on a Stillare Storm, a dual-coil build at 0,86 ohm....the iStick reports 'low resistance' or 'low atomizer', I can't recall it now. I do not know how near the reported '1,0 ohm lower limit' we can approach....

Man, I can't stand reddit. How does anyone follow anything at that convoluted site?

Anyway, it looks like several people want the charging port on the side. I love it on the bottom and would hate to see it moved to the side. Here's why;

1. When using it as a pass-through it's much better having it on the bottom cause it doesn't get in the way of your hand while holding it. I used my IPV2 this way in the car alot and it was great having the cord come out through the bottom.
.../...

I aggree with you. It's too small to leave it vertically without concerns, even worse with a heavy atty on top of it, and my experience of passthrough with a Hana clon is simply ruined by the lateral USB charging port. And if you, like me, usually change hands, it becomes worse. The USB charging port of the iStick is precisely where it has to be, both in terms of handling and being design-wise, where it is possible because of the internals.

My favorite was "just move the 510 connector". I suggest they go build one.
Oh and , "Make it bigger, so it fits my tank, no one will mind".

It's impossible to center the 510! Unless you made the box taller. But, after using a Fat Daddy Vapes' 510 as substitute of the original one in my Hana clon (the original one is a crappy beast, but it's a fully cloned mod, after all!), I'd would pay the five extra bucks for it on the iStick.

Or at least, bottom and top plates in actual stainless steel, so the 510 threads would become durable enough... I bet that in six months I'll put a Fat Daddy's 14 mm 510 conector, because it deserves it!

I'm wondering when the Chinese supplier of Fat Daddy will call eLeaf and other Chinese Box Mod manufacturers to put one in each... (or Varitube, another good one...).

Put it on a scope. And what was the purpose of putting the ego on the tester?

NO one. It's simpler. Some PR-related at Joyetech-USA asked for an answer to this issue, so the inexistent tech guys at Joyetech-USA (it is a marketing company, wholesellers and sales representative for eLeaf, not a nuclear lab!) had to call the most electronically experienced one, who turns out to be Will the intern..... and he made what he could.... with the in-house tools....

I did more or less the same, but I used what I sincerely think is a VRMS capable voltmeter, because it's an analogue, which measures it with microcurrents over a squared framed coil..... I also put a digital voltmeter in parallel, one of the cheapest available today (but it is an original from 1995!), which surely it's not designed to measure DC squared waves and has no RMS capabilities, so far known....

So it's either the voltage displayed on the iStick is RMS'ed somehow, the Joyetech voltmeter is also RMS-capable, and both my voltmeters (the analogue because it has to be, the digital by chance) measure RMS'ed, or this is a gigantic joke which caught me in between.....

No harm intended, though!

Ok, i see what's happening with people talking about the fire button.
I just tried clicking on mine let's say last bit (bottorm right) of button, won't fire.
Basically, you have to be right on the middle of button, and it fires everytime.

You know, i wouldn't of even thought about this if i hadn't seen this thread.
(ignorance is bliss) sometimes....now i'll think about this crap in back of my mind.
lol.
But no issues when your pressing in middle. all is well.

That a common limitation of budget-wise PCB buttons, and their equally cheap actuators. The won't fire with a 1 ppm reliability (less than 1 fails per million intents), they are not Space Shuttle buttons!

But we are not going to retire our iStick after 50 flights, so this is a nice case in which maths do not add up..... Add it to the PWM-gate .....:)

I've put an Smok's AFC 510-510 brass adaptor to protect the 510 threads of the iStick. It has a diameter of 19 mm ... and it overhangs for about 0,3 - 0,5 mm.

Guess that anything over 17,5 - 18 mm will not cope with your desires.

On Sept. 24 I pre-ordered from Ace of Vapes based on the fact they said they would have iSticks in stock yesterday. This morning I got this email:

"Hello everyone!!

We are sad to say that we are still waiting for some shipments to come in from China. All shipments are being delayed right now because of the Nation Holiday that is going on over there called the Golden Week. They are shut down for their holiday until October 7th. Some orders have been shipped to you guys and some have not. If you received a shipping confirmation then yours is on the way, if not then we are still waiting. Just wanted to give everyone a quick update on the current situation.
"

I didn't get a shipping confirmation so guess I'm SOL for now. Guess their shipment of iSticks was only 4 or 5 units.

Got mine from VapeNW yesterday...nifty little device. Topped it with a nautilus mini and its a nice little setup for concealed carry. Put a petina jwrap on it. Here it is compared to some other small devices: FT mini, Provari mini and rDNA.

2. When charging and not using, I lay most of my mods on their side anyway. I don't want to risk one of the cats (or kids, or something else) knocking it over when it's standing upright and scratching it or breaking the tank on the top. Much easier to just lay things on their side, where there's no risk of accidentally toppling over. Having the charge port on the bottom makes doing so better.

I could not agree with you more! The only reason that I even saw the Reddit post is because it was pointed out to me. I was thinking exactly the same about moving the charging port. That would suck trying to use it as a PT. I really hope that they have more common sense than to follow most of the suggestions posted.

The only changes that I would like to see is a spring loaded pin and moving the 510 connector to the middle. People that want more than that should buy a different mod IMO

Thanks SM. If a 19mm adapter only sticks out 0.3 to 0.5mm, an Atomic might not be too bad. Wish I could see a side view of an Atomic on a iStick. Saw a vid on youtube, but no close-up. I'll see how how it goes with the A6 first.

Jay G,
Any update on your order yet?
As of yesterday it was 1 state away and in transit from there. Hasn't been scanned into my post office yet but that's no surprise.
My grandson has a soccer game this morning and we have to leave before mail usually gets here.
I can just see me now sitting at the game. The other team scores, I get a text update telling me my package is delivered and I jump up and down yelling YES YES YES lol.

:lol::lol: Yeah, I can imagine it.

Do me a favour, please? When you get it, I want to see a picture of it in your hand - where it should have been weeks ago!!! :vapor:
