When I got my istick a few weeks ago, I posted that it lasted 24 hours on my first charge.

I've noticed that that number has been dropping. My vaping frequency hasn't changed (I vape all day), but it's not lasting as long. I usually charge it overnight and last week I noticed that the battery was drained by 7PM (I typically start vaping around 8am).

Today, I started using my fully charged istick at about 7:45am this morning. As of 5:15pm it's completely drained and I had to plug it in. That's less than 10 hours of charge.

Anyone else noticing this?

Additional info: I vape various juices, usually at around 12 watts on my 1.8ohm BVC's. I usually charge from the off state, but not always - doesn't seem to make a difference.

Lowered the wattage today to 9.5 watts to check the difference. Started vaping right at 8am and ran out of battery promptly at 9:30pm. 13.5 hours.

I don't know how people get 2 days out of them, except they aren't chain vapers like I am. I'm happy if it lasts all day. I pop it on the charger when it's convenient. I don't charge ecig batts while I'm sleeping. I guess I could go through 4 ego 650's in a day easy, so it seems about right. I use erolls when it's more convenient and that's a good time for me to charge. I'm happy with the battery life on the istick. I can walk out the door with it and a full 3ml tank and not think about it.

I EASILY get 2 full days of vaping on my iStick. I don't know the definition of "chain vape" but I vape a LOT and the charge lasts me longer than anything I've ever owned. And I'm not talking about low wattage either. Around 12-15 watts every day on my Kayfun Mini.
That's great! I think I still have the "primer puff" problem... But that is what it is. There may also be an extreme variation in these devices since there are no real, easily measurable standards.
My use, compared to other devices leaves me with no reason to question the batt life.
I go through about 6 ml a day at roughly 8 watts if that helps.

Yes, time flies, doesn't it? I've been cigarette free for over a year now, in large part thanks to all the help and advice that both you and KentC gave me just before I jumped in. I remember you two having a "discussion" at the time regarding the use of isopropyl alcohol to clean coils.

Anyway, went from the Kanger EVOD starter kit to Kanger vv batteries, to rebuilding EVOD coils, to Mini Protank 2s, and finally to the IGO-s RDA in that year. Decided to reward myself with a new toy upon hitting my one-year anniversary and was trying to decide between a Reo, a Valkyrie hybrid clone and a mech + RDA setup - when along came the iStick.

So now I'm happily vaping with the iStick - usually with either an IGO-s or A6 RDA.

Much aloha and a huge MAHALO to both you and KentC! (Oh - and to Train2 - I think that's the user name - if she/he is still around...) :)

It sounds to me like the battery in your iStick is no good. At 8 watts you should be getting MUCH more time between charges than what your getting. My wife vapes around 7-10 watts and she gets 3-4 days on a single charge from hers.

I'm also going through about 5-6ml per day vaping at 7-8w.

But you don't know how many times I hit mine an hour. I'm happy with the batt life. It compares to the ego batts and the box mods I used in the past. God forbid I count how many 90mah eroll batts I go through in a day. I chain vape! This thing works! I don't even see any point in buying a second one except maybe for a new color,... but then i would have to decide which one to use!

Backup? They're still fairly new so no long term reports yet.

How long are you getting from a charge? Just curious, not that it will change my opinion of the device. Mine lasts all day, that's enough for me.

I put it on a charger at night and use it all day.

See that's me too, and that works. As far as a backup, I don't even buy insurance at BestBuy. I have never had an electronic device fail, they just become obsolete. Not enough RAM, etc. I just bought 2 eroll kits because they were only $15 but I didn't need them. A back up istick.... I can't decide which color to get and they will probably get cheaper... I have backups.

I don't get the point?

Makes the atomizer fold down next to the Istick for a more compact device while carrying. Saves wear and tear on the 510 connector.

Press the latch and the atomizer flips to cover the display. When you want to use it, flip it back up and the latch catches and you can vape.

SHE has always been on vodka. (That doesn't sound right, does it? :)) Actually, SHE's using Russian spirits distilled from grain--96% Alc/Vol, 192 proof. Highly flammable.

But SHE's of the opinion that, in a pinch, one can safely use Isopropyl alcohol (91 or 99%) to clean atomizer coils--provided that one rinses said coils THOROUGHLY under running water afterwards to remove any remaining traces of Isopropyl.

SHE also likes denture cleaning tablets (unflavored) for cleaning coils. :D

Yeppers, and ..... at first, I was like "HUH?". Then I realized it really does make sense.

In my thought process about using adaptOrs (Eleaf spelling), I thought, hmmmm.... why not use an adapter AND get air flow control at the same time. :) (particularly with non-Naughty tanks)
