I think what you are seeing is Board Makers realizing that they have been Kinda Short Sighted.

Yes, we are in the Ballistic Arms Race to see who can get to 500 Watts before the Corporate Product Liability Lawyers step in and say Enough.

Remember that thread? ;)

"This baby can push over 400 watts." Competition model. :p

Triple 26650 VBX Box Mods - VBX Competition Model | VosVape Dual 26650, Triple 1850 & Dual 18500 Box Mods

But by making Boards that are just +7W, APV makers Can't Cash in on the <7w Crowd.

Right. Alas, even people who should know better, one would think, write things like this:

DNA40 - Too little too late? VIA:... | GrimmGreen.com

Either way — it seems to be too little to late. China is crushing America in the wattage market. It comes down to watt per dollar. Currently you can get 180 watts (with the god mod) for less then $1.00 per watt. With 200 watts+ on the horizon can Evolv even compete in this game anymore?

Aloha Jumpin! :)

Yeah, we've been doing it for quite a while.... And enjoying every minute, if I may add.

Wait! You're a veteran already???? WOOT! How did that happen? I remember when we had our first conversations in New Members....

Congratulations!

Yes, time flies, doesn't it? I've been cigarette free for over a year now, in large part thanks to all the help and advice that both you and KentC gave me just before I jumped in. I remember you two having a "discussion" at the time regarding the use of isopropyl alcohol to clean coils.

Anyway, went from the Kanger EVOD starter kit to Kanger vv batteries, to rebuilding EVOD coils, to Mini Protank 2s, and finally to the IGO-s RDA in that year. Decided to reward myself with a new toy upon hitting my one-year anniversary and was trying to decide between a Reo, a Valkyrie hybrid clone and a mech + RDA setup - when along came the iStick.

So now I'm happily vaping with the iStick - usually with either an IGO-s or A6 RDA.

Much aloha and a huge MAHALO to both you and KentC! (Oh - and to Train2 - I think that's the user name - if she/he is still around...) :)

Picky, picky! :p

We'll have to talk to Brandon!

Where's Kat? :D

ETA: I have the same question wrt my MVP2. Per their specs, the lowest wattage on MVP2 is 6 watts. So what happens exactly when I put a 2Ω atty at 3.2v? Hmmm? Am I vaping at 5.1W or at 6W?

Fine. I'll take one for the team. I'll call him...... sigh.... you know I don't want to, but for you, Katyaya-sisterhood, I'll do it. Oh big sigh ...

That's a good price. Especially if it comes with a wall charger and USB cable. I didn't get a cable with mine even though the ebay listing stated it was included.

I have a confusing (to me ) Eleaf situation.

On the way to lunch today, I took the Eleaf out of my pocket for a hit, and it seemed dead. And it was. I had been vaping on the device most of the morning with a Russian RBA mounted on it. The Eleaf sported a message that said "short" or something like that and would not work. After lunch, I took another Russian off of an MVP and it worked fine on the Eleaf. The RBA from the Eleaf that wouldn't work, then went on to the MVP and it worked fine too. Then of course, I tried it again on the Eleaf but still a no go.

Obviously a contact issue of some kind. Tried 2 different Aerotanks on the Eleaf and they worked fine as well. So what could cause the one RBA to not work on the Eleaf when it works on an MVP? I'm stumped.

I keep Telling ya, you just Don't Know what your are Missing until you have Vaped at 92 Watts.

LOL

I was in one of my local B&M yesterday, the young lady behind the counter had a 130 watt setup she let me try....meh. The flavor was OK, the vapor was extreme, so a 1-2 second hit was enough, but not better than a 1.5Ω coil with enough voltage to drive it. I'll be sticking with the iStick for now.

I did take along my IGO-W with a DoD feeder for my stick, it was a hit. There were a bunch of cloud chasers that thought it was a "really cool" method of dripping a RDA. I also took a 510 bridgeless atty along, they were floored....:2cool:
I have to bring along a Dual coil Smok Mega-Carto and maybe a CE2 next time.....

I posted this about 200 Pages ago.

Some people Just like High Watts.

I don't. And don't have Anything that Works very well at +20W. But I did get a Chance to take a 50W Hit of a Guy's Mech-Mod Dripper at ECC2014.

It was a Pretty Wild Hit. But Not Something I would want to do on a Day-In-Day-Out Basis.

One 50 Watt Hit kinda Rang my Bell. I Couldn't Imagine hitting at 130 Watts.

Let alone Hitting at such High Wattage 24-7.

I have a dual barrel carto adapter, and some 510 cartos left around somewhere....this is going to be fun....:2cool:

The OMG what's that.....to wow, that's so cool reaction was priceless.

It's a nice store, very reasonable prices, some things cheaper than online. And a good mix of customers, a group of clouders, and middle of the road clearo users, along with the noobs. There was a noob there with a couple not very experienced friends, she was trying out the tasters for her first vape. Coached her to take long, slow gentle draws and her eyes lit up....a vaper was born.

The 510 connector might be a bit shorter on that Russian. Wiggle the center pin up a bit and it should work. I had to do that with my new Erlk clone after using my KFL+.

Man... Talk about Walking Down Memory Lane. I Have one of those Double Barrel Adaptors.

DCE2_1.jpg

I called it a CE22.

I never saw one of those double carto adapters but I got off Vea cartos only a few months ago.
