What OHM coil are you using the with Evods? I tried a 1.8 that works great with my Aerotank but didn't work out so well with the Evod....wondering if I should try 2.2?? It's funny how much difference there was with the same coils but different attys.
I generally build around 2 (give or take .2) Wick with KGD. I also keep my wattage low; generally no more than 8 watts.

Can anyone suggest a non glass tank to use with the istick? I ordered a natuilis mini, but things seem to get broken in my house and I feel like I need a non glass back up..

Well...considering that the Nautilus (original and mini) glass tanks are less than $1 each (with FREE shipping)...you could also just keep some of them around for back-ups...

Found 14 nautilus (Product Type: Replacement Tanks) at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Picked up the orings and visited one of the local B&M's.

When I explained my issue with my iStick she didn't have much to say, so I'll be trying the fix again on my own in a bit.

This is for the MVP2...but it may be helpful...

right now i find that my 2ohm (read as 1.9ohm) cartomizers burn liquid far too easily. Would i benefit from picking up 3ohm carts instead?

Yep!! Check out #414..

I've got a couple of coils ready to rebuild so will give that a go tonight or tomorrow night. I grabbed the EVODS for a couple of my juices that I like a hit from few times a day..but not enough for a larger tank. Hopefully I"ll get my strategy all figured out:laugh:

I like this :D
Cheap, good looking, does everything you need from an electronic VV/VW Mod...I#m getting one ASAP

Wonder if the batteries are serviceable or if it's a throw away unit once the cells eventually die.
For the price, it'd be no great loss to take it apart and have a go at changing the battery, once it's dead.
Or you could use the PCB and display etc. to build another Mod, DIYers.

Getting prepped for the emergency surgery on Emmsma's Istick, I went to get my soldering iron and find a needle tip. Couldn't find the tips so I went out and bought a new one. My old soldering iron was about 20 yrs old and still in good shape but I think 20 yrs of service was good enough. Just heated it to burn away the machining oils on the soldering iron so it's a bit discolored. I was pleasantly surprised to find it came with a pre-built coil so I'll throw it on my Erlk clone

Alright...I'm a bit new to the VV/VW scene, though I understand Ohm's law and all that well enough, but still have some questions regarding this device...

I've been reading what a great combo the eleaf istick is with the Nautilus mini, but based on what I've been reading, it seems like the device is over-powered for the 1.8 Ohms of the mini(?).

When I compare this chart, for example, to most of the Ohms/Voltage vaping charts that are out there, it would seem like 10W is way too much for a 1.8 Ohm coil...or am I missing something or interpreting it wrong?

For those using this type of setup, what is the preferred wattage (or volts) to run the iStick? I've been thinking about pulling the trigger, but the more I read this thread, the more confused I get!

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, the closest hobbytown USA from me is like an hour drive away. They do have flat rate $4.99 shipping, but I still would have no idea what size to get. I only got the Danco #60 because the person who made the video said so. I've been satisfied with the fix on the iStick more than the MVP.

The MVP didn't sit exactly flush. The iStick is close enough, and I didn't take out the old o-ring either. I'm just happy at this point that I can grab any tank from my drawer, put it on the iStick, and it will always fire.

This is for my own records. It looks like the Danco ring is 6.35mm wide (outer) x 1.58mm thick. So you would have to get something thinner than 1.58mm to help make it flush. The hobbyworks web site doesn't have a lot of details on the dimensions of a lot of the o-rings. I'll just keep this in mind in the future. Like I said, my iStick works fine right now, and this should take care of me at least until the iStick 2 comes out sometime.

While I was looking, I found something that may work. It was on the hobbyworks web site, and they sell the same one on amazon for $4.48 as an add-on item, or $4.48 on ebay. It's 5mm (inner) x 1mm (thick). The outer diameter is 6.5mm.

The model is Axial AXA1162. Still might not be thin enough, but it's another option I guess. I'm not sure if I would waste my time redoing it with this one. I wouldn't want to end up breaking my iStick trying to take that other one off. Not sure how much 0.6mm in thickness would matter.

Amazon.com: Axial AXA1162 O-Ring (10-Piece), 5x1mm: Toys & Games

New Axial O Ring 5x1mm 10 AXA1162 | eBay

In one of the early posts in this thread someone used the oring off of one those cheap key chain screwdrivers like they sell at fastech or sometimes come in RBA RDA kits....... they're tiny.

I use a 1.8 bvc coil on my nauty mini & set the istick between 9-11 watts depending on the juice. No dry hits, no burning, great vapor & flavor.

anymore deals on the istick out there? I missed the ecigs.com deal. TIA

VapeNW has them on ebay for 34.95 for the whole kit, free shipping, I got mine in 2 business days.

My local B&M just got them in stock in their store for 59.99...that is completely ridiculous if you ask me and I don't know how they came to that price or how they plan on selling any.

I expect they will sell when the online vendors are out of stock
