Got a heads-up for all you stickers out there. I bought a 52,000 mah power bank today that came with a USB. Not sure what happened next, but, the power banks lights suddenly went out while trying to charge it. Thinking it might be the fault of the supplied USB cord that came with it , I plugged it into my istick.......now my istick won't charge at all, no matter what USB cord I use!! The wall wart is the same one I've been using all along. My guess is that the USB is an older style or something and not compatible with the istick. When I try to charge the istick, It shows a full battery icon (not blinking) then when I pull out the USB the battery icon shows half charge, even after several hours. I fried something in the charging system by using an incompatible USB. I used this istck for 9 weeks with no issues 'till now...May it RIP.. Be careful.

Just wanted to update... I disassembled my fried istick and here's what I found:

1: The battery was taken out and put on a regular battery charger for hours, and it won't take a charge.
2: Put a new IMR batt. in the istick and it operates, but the istick will not charge it.
3: Examined the circuit board extensively but didn't find any burnt traces or components.
4: Re-soldered all the existing connections to eliminate any cold solder joints.
5: Re-named the istick to isick and it has been relegated to the parts-bin for future cannibalization.

That sucks. Now tell us what you did with that cable??
Have you tested it with an ohm meter? Just curious. I bought a cheap power bank at CVS before going on vacation. Figured I could use it for a pass through or charger in a pinch. It worked OK until I plugged my 1amp cell phone charger into it. Never charged up. Junk > trash, not gonna mess with it.

That cable is def. messed up. I didn't test it on anything else for fear of frying something. It's back in the box with the power-bank waiting to be returned to the guy at the flea market. The way it fried the power-bank and my isick my guess would be reverse polarity, .

Edit...If I can figure out a way how to remove and replace the bottom cap of the isick quickly, I might turn it into a replcacable batt. mod

That's a shame! I remember being urked with the Groove II letting go way too soon and eventually pulled that unit's front face place off for a look. That had a rectangular 3800mah battery sealed up inside that one while I suspect the circuit card was what went.

As for effective charging I once upon a time found an alarm clock at Walmart with twin ac outlets with a switch that also sees a 5v usb port I charge everything with! When getting the iTaste ac wall plugs for the MVP and VV v3.0s last year none of them even worked! So having given up wall plugins with single usb ports I grabbed that one up!

This doesn't sound right- is it possible you misthreaded when screwing on your tank?
It shouldn't be titled at all unless your 510 had an existing issue prior to you attaching the bending adapter.

My tank tilts also. Not a lot but a tad. I fold mine in my pocket all the time with no problems. After a while you will be able to fold it without touching it. Remember how we used to open a Zippo?.....sort of a flick of the wrist......yep the catch wears down and will fold very easily.

It wears down that fast? They haven't been out that long, but, zippos were cool. I still have one somewhere!:)

Have you seen the mvp 20 pic yet? What a disappointment. Hoping mvp 3 lives up to all the hype

I have already cut and drilled new end caps for my dead iStick. Both caps are identical in size and have identical screw holes (enclosure is extruded aluminum). I traced the original bottom cap onto black acrylic, 3/8" for top, 1/8" for bottom. The new top cap gives a real 510 connection room in the enclosure. I will use a replaceable 18650 when I decide on a new chipset.

Good luck!

 ......NOoooo WHY why why didn't you move that button!!!!

The MVP3 is obviously not close to being ready. Innokin is doing what they can to retain as many holiday sales as possible against the iStick. The MVP20w looks pedantic nowadays. But many here were very happy with their MVPs prior to the iStick. It's the price that will kill the new MVP20...

As you would expect everything wears out after time. As for Zippo lighters someone decided to come up with an ecig version of that called an eCiggo Kit

Those ran for $20 with the worst lousy tasting pre-filled cartridges known to mankind but are 808 threaded where you can use a 808 to 510 extension adapter on the 350mah size battery. You now get those for only $10 since they weren't hot sellers from not having any other flavors. While still running with Bloog blanks I found those would fit on but still not see the best output in order to be able to have something small to stuff in a pocket I could carry with me before getting into other items like 400mah eGo mini batteries with pen style clearomizers and caps.

At this point however all I can say was that stuff became more novelish then practical well before the MVP even came along while I have gone with some updated pen type clearomizers recently that perform far better then the original CE2s I tried out. The iStick however is first to offer any real kick .... performance in a tiny package compared to carrying the DNA 30, E-LVT on the way, or any larger mod around. If not wearing anything with deep pockets 2000mah Smok Aro Winders or the eGo-V V4s, Vision Spinner 2s all can be awkward while the VTR comes in it's own carrying case for that one.

#5. Sorry, but that's funny!
