would you guys buy another one?

Well, I did. I bought two initially, one for me and one for husband, and then ordered another so I can have two. I'd love a Vaporshark rDNA, but they are $230+ here (converting from Euros), and I really, really wanted a tiny little box mod. These are perfect for me while the marketplace populates with more choices for this popular form factor at more reasonable prices, so if these last me a few months, that's great. I have the wee boxy I've been wanting so much right now (and they are working great for me so far), and they buy me time while solid options hopefully expand into my price range.

DNA 30 is really nice but it's also about 60+ dollars more. Some people (like myself) can't afford it. The istick hits a good price point like the clouper will but until that is reviewed and tested i am gonna hold off.

I got the istick coming in hopefully tomorrow. I am also a bit worried that i made the wrong choice as it seems it either strips (which i can fix with the pats i bought) or it stops charging... which i cannot fix. Maybe i will break down and get the dna 30, or something similar that isn't near 100 bucks cause tbh i haven't seen past 11w

I did find this but i am sure its a clone:

I agree that the VS DNA 30 isn't cheap but it was $189 at the begining of the year, dropped to $169 and then $119 and now $99. It is a solidly built mod and you can definitely feel the quality. It is bland in styling though if you're concerned about that. I was so impressed with the rDNA 40 that I got the DNA 30 as a reliable backup.

For the budget conscious or those that just don't want to spend that much, the Cloupor mini seems to be a great option, at least on paper and in the pics. It seems to address all the issues with the Istick and comes in around the same size.

Oh... and I usually vape around 10-12w on my DNA 30. Just because you have a Ferrari doesn't mean you have to drive 190mph all the time :D

The ebay mod that you linked, look up focalecig on google, same mod but cheaper.

:D makes sense...lol So would a DNA 30 clone be a terrible thing? I also see Hanna Modz and Hana Shield? I also found a V3 DNA 30 for $65, could that be real?

I hate to disturb the arguments here but would you guys buy another one? There's the Cloupor mini 30 watt and another mini 30 watt I can't think of right now that both take a 18650 battery. I'd jump on one of those if my istick took a dump.

NO!!!!!!!!

I dropped mine and the Kayfun went one way and the iStick the other way. Now my threads are very messed up. If you never drop it, it's a great mod, but if you drop it, it's a P.O.S.
I have dropped my MVP many times and no issues whatsoever. I will not buy another iStick until the threads are made of a better quality material.

It depends. There's a lot of clones out there and it's a crap shoot whether it's good or not. No authentic Hana is $65. They retail for $200 now (dropped $50). Cloupor is pretty good but the eBay link is NOT a Cloupor (pic has a seam thru the 510 base, Cloupor doesn't). The one from FC that whodat2112 posted isn't that great either. I have one and it's made by KSD. My biggest gripe about it is that there is a 2 sec delay from sleep to fire and it goes to sleep in 60 seconds. Also, the box is more squared off than the Cloupor enclosures so it doesn't feel as nice your hands. The ones from Fasttech have been reviewed very well but they changed and the Hana Mini I got has a 1 sec delay from sleep to fire. Much less annoying than 2 sec but still kinda annoying but I bought it to install a DNA 40 so it doesn't really bother me.

If you want a real Cloupor, get one from Elev8. The latest Cloupor doesn't have any delay from sleep to fire. Use code: XMAS14 for 15% off so $51 shipped (free shipping over $50). They only have Silver in stock right now.

Thanks for the link whodat2112, that does look really good for the price. If i do grab one whats a good battery to use (i have only really ever had my MVP so im not sure what brands are good)

Samsung 25R or LG HE2.

The only reason that I would not spend $100 on a vaporshark DNA is that one reviewer stated that the battery did not last very long.
Is he correct?....I don't know, but I don't have $100 to find out.
I did buy an iPV mini, and it's very nice for roughly $60

If you use the DNA 30 at 30w, it won't last long but I vape around 10-12w and it lasts me 5 hrs of chain vaping. It is an authentic Evolv DNA 30 chip and it does vape a bit better than the clone chips. I don't know if it's worth the extra $$ for it though but the build quality is definitely worth it, IMO.

No way buy another !! May consider if they change 510 and have a replaceable battery but the Cloupor Mini will be soon shipping. And the new Mini has the features I want. Not even worth reworking the old Stick with new mods coming out. Eleaf opened the door but made mistakes and are slow to correct ........

I just got the latest vape mail in(DovPo E-LVT 2.0) and compared it size wise next to the iStick and ZNA 50 for ha ha..s and you can see where the trend has been going for the last year almost since that is an older one of the first 30w range mods to be seen.

Well, I'm done arguing, I decided to let those two guys think as they wish :p, so to answer your question, no, I would not buy another one. It is a good handy little thing, but the value just isn't smooth enough, too many little issues to worry about. If and when I need another pocket sized mod I will look at the cloupor mini (though when my istick does die, I plan to try and mod it by replacing the top cap and putting in a dna30 board, which will make it then the perfect pocket mod for me....spring loaded 510 with good threads and direct dc to dc current)

Thanks for the advice guys, BTW they are now out of silver as well KTM...lol

Figures. lol.

Mt Baker Vapor has red, blue and silver in stock. $75 but use code: vaporfrombaker for 10% off ($67.50 shipped). That's the only place I could find where it's in stock. Red is a deep red and blue is a dark royal blue. Both are very good looking colors (I have black, red, blue, silver, orange )

Black, Blue, Orange, or Red for $60.99 on sale at Aspen Valley Vapes. https://www.aspenvalleyvapes.com/shop/box-mods/cloupor-cana-mod-dna-30-box-mod/

For $.03 less Fasttech has the DovPo DT-50 in silver with a bit more kick at 50w. That was one I was looking at briefly but went for the ECig V9 50w mod instead with a $3 off for an even $50! The DT-50 however runs from 5-50w with the 4000mah sealed battery however compared to the others running 18650s. The Panasonic batteries I have been running lately with for the VTR, Smok BEC Pro 50w, ZNA 50, Vamo Fire 20w, Vamo V6 20w, and now the E-LVT 2.0 have been working out quite well as an option. 4pcs 18650 NCR18650A 3100mAh Rechargeable Li-ion battery 3.6V For Panasonic

Why don't i just send you 51 bucks and you can send me one ...LOL

I'll keep them in mind thanks! Also why did you have to tell me there is one in orange!!

The orange is more of a copper color but still looks really nice (and matches my dirt bike :D).

I got 6 from Elev8 as enclosures (warranty returns) for $5 ea. 3 of them worked with some minor issues. 3 were DOA. They also have the older v2 or v1 chips. 2 work well enough that I have them in my rotation but after the initial newness wore off, I'm not using them much. My plans were to put DNA 40 boards into them. Not all but pick from the 2 or 3 best condition ones.

Nice find (Aspen Valley).

There's so many new devices coming out with varying levels of fit and finish I can see how it can be overwhelming. You really should use higher amp draw batteries. Those Panasonic batteries are good but under 10a draw so if you're going to use more than 15w, the batteries won't keep up.
