It's the highest resistance BVC coils available for my nautilus Mini. Love to go higher but those coils just don't exist and these things can't be re-wrapped to my knowledge.

I normally wrap to 2.4 (or so) on my kayfun though. I suppose a 2.8-3.0 wrap might choke down the power a bit.

I haven't seen a Nautilus BVC coil about 1.8Ω either. However, you can rebuild although it looks a bit fidgety RiP Trippers - Nautilus Mini BVC Build. The build is the same for the regular and minis.

Man this thread has really taken off! Just received my iStick and Wow! Luv this thing! like others are saying, can't believe how small it is. time for the Nano kit. Don't tell anyone that I said this (I mean it). It's so cute! got it for $34 from Vape NW in 3 days! Wash. to Fla. yes. I vape a Kayfun, 1.6 ohm at 10 watts. actually turned this down to 9.5 and it hits very well. I just hope it lasts over time. does appear to be a very solid device. How do they do this? I mean - $34. Really? Gotta luv it!

You know, I respect all the tech talk on this new device, and it actually interests me somewhat. But honestly...when I get mine in the next day or so all I'm gonna do is fill up one of my nautilus minis with my favorite juice, crank it to 12 watts, and vape that sucker tell my eyes cross and I go goofy! Thanks for the vid. Looks like a royal pain in the azz to me. :D

I should add, I have no loyalty to the Nautilus other than the BVC's are a great vape on a properly regulated mod for us lazy people. I could certainly see my Kayfun at 2.5 ohms in "nano" mode sitting on top of the iStick. (Which is superior to the Nautilus IMO anyway).

Been using the Istick for my work rig for for a few days now and am loving it. Battery life has been excellent, I used to go through two 1300 mah spinners, but I can vape this thing all day and it's still half charged at the end of the work day.

I use evod clearos at with home built 30ga 1.5 ohm coils and have always vaped them at about 4.0v. What I do with the Istick is start out on a fresh charge at 3.0v and bump it up a little throughout the day as the battery goes down to get the vape i'm used to.

And now for something completely different.....

Does anyone know the suggested charging current for these? 500mA, 1amp, 2amp.....?

If it's been posted I missed it.

From the product description on the eLeaf site, iStick:
How to charge?
iStick is charged through USB port at the bottom. One can take puffs while it is being charged.
iStick supports charging with 1A wall adaptor which is more fast.

VAMO box mod?

Yes, ma'am, a DIY VAMO box mod about the size of a VS. The VAMO chipset is perhaps the best bang-for-your-buck vaping technology created thus far. The value/quality of the actual mod is debatable. But you can purchase the chipset for $10 or the full VAMO v5 for $25 or less. What other $25, regulated mod allows you to vape all day as high as 30w? The only drawback is the sometimes obvious rattlesnaking caused by the unaltered PWM output. I'd pay the extra $5 for a "filtered" output.

All this being said, the iStick is brilliant for the combination of it's size (or lack there of) and it's battery life! This new mod could very well become the new EGO for the entry level through advanced vaper. All the new dual, quad and bottom-vertical coil clearomizers really don't start shining until you hit 11-13w. RTAs really like 11-18w. Only drippers would need a more powerful regulated device or a mech, of course. The iStick could very well become the new standard for 70% of vapers. Two of these should get the heaviest of chain-vapers through an entire day, for $70!

I hope Mr. Busardo can clear all this up for those of us still on the fence. On the other hand, $35 is nothing compared to what I've thrown away on mediocre e-liquids...

Happy vaping!

I thought it was very cleverly designed in the fact that it limits your range of adjustment based on your atomizer resistance and it's current output limitation. For instance, with a 2.1Ω atomizer attached, output was limited to 14.4 Watts, if I remember correctly. With a different atomizer with a resistance of 1.2Ω, the wattage could be adjusted as high as 19.2 watts. I'm guessing you would need a 1.0Ω to achieve a full 20 watts on the display...

So it's looking like a 4amp device. Thanks for this!

Hey, Kodiak. Rip has a video on rebuilding the BVCs. It doesn't look as easy as building the Kangers. But it seems doable.

Ooops. Somebody beat me to it...

I went with the other ebay vendor to save a buck. What a nightmare this is turning out to be. [emoji20]

It looks so nice with an IBTanked Halfling. Super stealth.

Ha. The guy at my local B&M just let me use one. (it's the only one he has).

Stuck a Nautilus Mini 1.8ohm topper on it, set for 3.0v and I can tell this thing vapes way too hot for us low-wattage vapers. It's like using an Ego fresh off the charger. I really wish I could get 2.5ohm BVC's because this little thing is kinda cool. For now though, I'll stick with my proven VV3's and MVP.

My friend, you have better eyes than me. :D

As an aside... like others here I took my Smok Ohm/Volt tester to the B&M. The iStick registered 4 volts under load (when it said 3.0). Every other regulated mod I have registers correctly or pretty close. Sadly, unless Eleaf comes out with a version "2" with a chip modification, it's a deal breaker for yours truly. (I actually used the 2.9v of the Provari Mini the short time I had it - especially after a fresh re-coiling of my kayfun).

I envy you foggers sometimes. Wish I could vape plumes like a lot of you. I just can't.

Thank you Kodiak. I've been trying to stave off my shinyitis until I could get more information, and this puts it into the no go at this time for me. Which is a shame, because it sounds great for the high wattage crowd.

freshly charged ego is too hot?
goes to show that my vaping style is not what all do, when we have an opinion on a device, its important to remember that we all have our own preferences and likes.

Honestly i was going to make fun of that post until i realized that the way i like my vape isnt the how your like your vape

And thank you, melloyellow for not being dismissive of those of us who do have different preferences.
