Help! I'm sure this question has been asked before, but I can't find it. I just got an istick and noticed right away that it runs hot. So I dialed it back and I'm getting a good vape at 6 watts.

The problem is, I will take a puff at 6 watts... The screen will go to sleep, and when I go to take another hit, the watts have changed. Sometimes up to 8.7, sometimes down to 4.2. I thought the buttons were somehow getting pressed. So I let the screen go to sleep and didn't move my hand at all. Sure enough, the watts still changed.

I am loving this thing, but I'll be damned if I'm going to change the watts every time I take a hit

You may be looking at the 'second' counter after you take a hit?? Check that out. Hope it helps.

Here it is how I set it

Then I set it down and when I turn the screen on, this is what it says

I can't read it. Do the ohms or volts change? Have you tried switching to voltage mode?
The ohms read 2.3 both times. The volts changed from 3.7 to 4.5. I haven't tried in variable voltage mode... I prefer watts because I keep quite a few toppers going at the same time with different ohms. I like to set watts and go.

I bought it at the local b&m. I will go back up there tomorrow if it keeps happening. So weird

Does your iStick do the same thing with Every one of your Toppers?

Or just the one you have on it in the Picture?

I just tried a bunch. It happens to all of my clearomizers, but not my cartos

Sounds like a Contact/Non-Contact issue to me.

Is there any Gap between your Clearomizers and the top of the iStick? And if there is, is it the Same sized gap as with your Cartos?

Hmm...the clearos don't seem to sit down as far... My husband has a circuit board spacer in his mvp to help with the contact issue. I'll steal it when I get home and try that!

Just be careful.

If something is Outside of Warrantee, I am Fearless about Mod-ing it. Or even taking it apart and Poking it with a Dental Pick.

But if something is New. And Under Warrantee, then I am not so Bold to Fool with it. And lean towards doing a Return from where I got it.
