Eleaf Istick

I have a VV3 that I usually run around 7.5 or 8.0 with 1.5-1.8 coils. On the istick, I use 1.8+ ohm coils and it does fine in lower wattages. But I do have to turn it down between 5-6.

One of her juices she runs 7. The other 2 she runs on 8. I'm getting conflicting reports on the performance of this istick. That should be expected but I generally go by the majority if I'm gonna accept a recommendation. Like most all other devices, when they are new they're the greatest thing ever but as time rolls on they get to be not so great. Then people start pickin on the problems. I wouldn't stick one of those benders on anything.

That's whay Im sayin. I didn't know it wouldn't perform at low wattage like it should. And she doesn't need thread problems. Exactly what is the problem with the threads. Are they rough, loose, easy to cross thread or hard to start, all of the above?

How many are you gonna need? You might need backups. I'm not tryin to bad mouth the mod (others are tellin me about the problems). All I wanted was a little vw mod with good battery life. The only thing I expect of it is for her to be able to screw her tanks on it and adjust it to where she likes to vape. The 2 things that people are sayin there are problems with. That's why I'm not gonna put out any money on the 30 or 50 until they have been proven to at least perform those 2 basic functions satisfactorily.

That's great news. That would make them easy to cross thread and strip out. I have bought $5 ego knock offs that don't have that problem The positive side is only 31 bucks spent. I would just take this one myself cause I could deal with it. I vape at higher power but she ordered the red (pink). I guess I could paint it or find a sleeve for it.

The majority of people love their iStick and chances are your wife will also. BTW-- bending adapter works great and looks fine

I like the low profile air flow control that they sell at Mad Vapes. I have one on each of my iSticks and have no problems. I did have connection problems with my first iStick after about 6 weeks of use. Someone fixed it for me and I've had no trouble with either stick. They were both purchased in October.

Also just skipping through the thread 50 to 100 pages at a time it appears the reason there are so many posts is due to the problems with the stick and not because of happy owners. The more I read, the more disappointed I am. I think I'm just gonna sell it in it's original package and buy the Bride a good mod. Like they say, it could be the best little mod made (with some revisions). But they haven't fixed it and it ain't.

The common Ego battery, as well as the first iteration of the MVP had major flaws as well. Things turned out rather well, and neither became known as garbage.

The original iStick is still a good mod and delivers a great vaping experience while easy to hold, operate and afford. Were there issues? Yes. But Eleaf included an ego adapter, and upon knowing os issues created the BENDING ADAPTER to fix the 510 issues. And less than six months later are releasing 2 new version of the original with re-inforced 510 threads and more features while keeping the form factor and price point.

My MVPs, I own 2, are used as bedtime vaping tools these days, while the iSticks (I own 2 as well) are my daily carry and go-to devices. If you'd like to waste your time searching for that perfect device, go right at it. It's your time and cash. But don't throw the baby out with the bathwater.

I don't think that the iStick was a waste of money at all, I modded mine because I'm hard on my devises and due to my error I had issues with the 510 thread. Both of mine still see daily use. Even after modding mine with a plastic top cap and FDV 510 they are still shorter and lighter than my iPV. I believe in adjust to flavor not the numbers, so when placing my Kager, R91, or Erl mini on I turn the power down to as low as it it will go and then turn up till I find my sweet spot on everything I use; VV3 MVP v1, iStick, iPV, etc.. I for one plan to continue to use my iSticks until the day they die a horrible death, size and weight are amazing. I'm thinking for summer use and not wanting to be weighted down with a heavy mod in my pocket they are perfect.

Bikenstein, please don't condemn the istick before you even get it! I am a woman, and I LOVE the istick. Battery life, form factor, and vaping experience with the right tank, is excellent, IMHO. A LOT of us are running Nautilus Mini's on the istick, and it's a winning combination. I have 3 isticks, and I have not had any problems with threading or with the rms vs. mean issue. I found the regular EVOD type clearo's did run too hot. So, I switched to Nauti-mini and haven't had ANY problems since.

Let your wife try it out with her tanks and just adjust to taste. That's what I have done, cuz all of this voltage/wattage stuff is way over my head!

That's got it summarized quite well! I had one regulated mod and then a mech mod with a switch end up ruining the day on two occasions but still went with a pair of iSticks as well as some otthes lately!

EVERY mod will have something wrong with it, especially if you look hard enough.
