I'm holding out and looking into the cloupor mini segeli mini and mvp3

I am "spoiled" by the istick's size, weight and "comfort in hand". So...for my next "step-up"...I'm looking primarily at size:

MVP3...appears will be similar to size/weight of MVP2...I PIF'd my ("brick" like) MVP2's once I got my (first) istick.

IPV Mini 23mm X 40mm X 94mm (about $60)

Sigelei Mini 22mm X 36mm X 90.3mm (about $59)

Clouper Mini 22mm X 36mm X 77.5mm (about $49)

30Watt-iStick 23mm X 32.5mm X 77mm (about $40)

original-iStick 21mm X 32.8mm X 75mm (about $30)

If I Didn't buy a Mod because I read that some people have had Problems or Don't like something about a Mod, I don't think I would buy too many Mods.

Because if you look, you can find Someone who has Something Bad to Say about EVERY Mod Ever Made.

I looked and it wasn't Someone who had something bad to say about the istick, it was EVERYONE, even those who love it. Now I see some coming out and sayin they never have had a problem and are defending it and taunting me for not likin it. :D. In 1970, I bought the first Kawasaki Bighorn F5 350 to come to the state of GA, brand new. The engine seized 5 times on me the first day. When it cooled down, I ran it again. I had to rebuild the motor the third day I owned it and it still seized 2 more times. I was thrilled with the bike! I loved it. Wish I had one just like it today. Later models were improved and the issues were addressed. But it was put on the market before it was ready and the kinks had not been worked out. That's the way most products are these day so if you are wise you will listen to all reviews you can and use that information with your own judgment to make decisions on purchases. I appreciate some of the replies like those from love coffee and imrs, but the rest of you

I hoping to get a used one for a really good price, i just put a post in the wanted thread. Had a lead on one but it was the wrong color lol. Fingers crossed

They're cheap enough brand new. Get a used one for not too much less and you might be buying one with abused threads or other flaws.

Over react much? You don't even have the device in hand yet but condemn it anyway. Fine. Move on.

I really Don't think People are Taunting you all that Much. If you are Dead Set that you Don't Like it (even before it is in your Hand), Great. More Power to Ya.

But Wasn't this iStick for your Wife?

Maybe you should just give it to Her and see what She Thinks. Isn't what She Thinks the Only thing that Matters?

Or is there something here I am Missing?

I think the "tone" of your posts kinda annoyed people-- they're a bit antagonistic. If you had worded things more diplomatically I suspect you would have had a much different reaction. One of the reasons I enjoy this thread is there is very little drama(maybe 2 or 3 posts deleted by mods) and folks are very happy to help out.

Yeah. The point is it has bad threads and I'm concerned that she will strip them. Then what? The istick is useless. It won't matter what a great device it is if she can't screw a tank on it. You are right I don't like the fact that it has weak connecter threads and I haven't received it yet. If it had strong threads then I would be happy to give it to her.

Sorry if you or anyone else was offended. I'm not a dramatic person. Any "other than nice" feelings I have, are toward eleaf for not fixin the problem with the istick before putting it on the market. But on the bright side, I have heard more positive remarks about the istick, which makes me feel a little better about it. I may paint it and keep it myself:)

If the Threads Strip, then the Threads Strip.

And if they Don't, then they Don't.

I haven't Heard of Anyone Stripping the Threads on the eLeaf 510/eGo adapter. Maybe you should Fort Out another Dollar Two Ninety Eight for one if your iStick doesn't come with one and then use it?

I'm Hitting on an iStick right Now. Nothing wrong with the Threads on Mine.

The ISTICK rocks for what it is intended for! A cheap device that hits warm or hot, small, attractive , and long battery life. I had issues in the beginning but they worked there self out. It has been the only device I use now. Why not let your wife try it and see for herself. Try the device out I think you and her will be happy you did.

Ok I had the same thought. But in all fairness, maybe she's the type of vaper that just wants to get her nicotine and go. My husband is that way. Whereas I've turned it into a hobby, he just wants nicotine. So he doesn't know how any of it works. The latest gear. Etc etc. I handle all of that and just hand it to him. Something doesn't work right, I'm the one that fixes it.

Doesn't make him stupid, or make me think he's stupid. He just doesn't care like I do.

That will do, OK. I first bought the istick (which I haven't received yet) because this thread had over 8000 posts. I liked the way it looked. I was excited for my wife (as far as I get excited) Then when I posted, people started telling me all about problems with it and looking back thru the threads I saw more of the same. So then I post that this was a mistake. I didn't think it was a good mod for my wife. People are now coming out of the woodwork angered at my comments about the istick when I only know about those things from the people here. I'll try it and test it out myself before I give it to her. That's between me and her, nobody else. If I give her a gift, I want it to be a good gift.
