I bought a Smart-20 from FT because another poster in this thread said they were reliable and operate just like the istick, and I have found that to be 100% true. I like the additional colors available on the Smart-20 too. Win-win for me - just had to wait about a month to receive, but I had 2 other isticks to use until it got here. I'd recommend the Smart-20 without hesitation.
I think the gold is very cool! :)

The 'Burgh, PA.
I've been told not to jump to conclusions about it before I get mine. I'm gonna try it out and see for myself. If it's good, I'll keep it if not I"ll find somebody that wants a pink one and give it to em.

Pink one? PINK ONE??? You never mentioned you had ordered the Pink One!!!

I have a Pink One (I'm a guy...and it looks "purple" to me). It's so BEAUTIFUL that I'd keep it in my "rotation" even if I didn't love how it vapes.

'Stickers, has anyone started a general thread of itty bitty mods under $100? If so, I'd like to add our list.

MINI MODS under $100.

- the eleaf istick 20 watt Eleaf iStick

- the IPV mini Vapor Range | Pioneer4You IPV Mini 30W Variable Voltage Wattage Box Mod Your Online Vape Store for Mechanical Mods , Rebuildable Dripper RBA's RDA's , and Juice

- the Sigelei mini 30 watt https://originvape.com/product/sigelei-mini-30w/

- the Beyang 30 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=soZcR6XTLuc

- the Cloupor mini (30 watt) Cloupor Mini 30W VV/VW Mode Box Mod for Sale

- the eleaf mini istick (10watt) Mini iStick

- the Smok Xpro M50 (50 watt) SMOK Xpro BT50W Mod

- the Smok Xpro M22 (22 watt) mini SMOK Xpro M22 Mini box Mod

- the Smok Xpro M36 (36 watt) Smok Xpro M36 Mod - $55.00
http://www.smoktech.com/product.html?classID=10000

- Joyetech eGrip (20 watt) Joyetech eGrip

- VaporShark DNA30 Vapor Shark DNA Batteries and Accessories | VaporShark.com

-Heatvape Defender Defender - Heatvape

NICE LIST!!!

You "forgot" the 30Watt iStick. (It's more "mini" than many on your list.)

I've "looked at" most of them...

I've "eliminated" the VaporShark DNA30 from "my list" because it's barely under $100 ($99.99)

I've "eliminated" the Joyetech eGrip because I want to choose my battery and topper separately.

I've "eliminated" the IPV Mini because it's size is closer to a "Midi".

And I've "eliminated" the Cloupor Mini from my list because of it's 1 second delay when firing from Sleep.

As long as the wonky threads hold up til she can get worthwhile use out of it, I'll be ok with it. :)

Bike,

The 510 connector threads on the current iStick aren't any worse than any of the many other PVs that use chromed brass connectors. They're certainly no worse than VAMOs, for instance. That may not be a sterling recommendation, but they're far better than the soft-as-butter aluminum 510 connectors on some cheap mechanicals.

When my first iStick's threads began to go "wonky"---about a month after I got it---that immediately got my attention. I immediately started exercising the same care that I do with all my other softer-metal connectors---avoiding cross-threading by making sure that the male and female threads are synced properly before screwing on a tank, using a light touch to maintain a smooth path, never forcing any tank, and not over-tightening (more than snug will short the positive pin and cause the iStick to read 0.0 ohms and not fire). That first iStick hasn't given me any thread trouble since and is still chugging along quite happily. Same is true of all my subsequent iSticks, which have no thread wonkiness at all, since I was careful with them from the start.

Maintaining the thread health on my iSticks has been no big deal---it takes just a little more mindfulness and about three seconds extra to put on a tank. That said, stainless steel connectors are much better, and I hope Eleaf uses them on all the subsequent versions, along with spring-loaded pins.

YMMV, of course.

All five of my iSticks have vinyl wraps---shiny, matte, or textured---that I purchased as sample sheets on eBay for 99¢ shipped. Here are the three that I keep downstairs:

Not only that but different people prefer different things :)

This true! I bought an aluminum tube mod back in May 2013 I never did like since I already had a Vamo V2 with regulation over the non regulated mod. When recently adding the Smok Kick with external adapter on the end I got a few good VW hits from it and then nothing. The Kick seems to have gone DOA and the button on the mod stayed in stuck there for good like it was fused inplace. That solved that fast!

The Smok Groove II which has a plastic not metal case no less is much lighter then the VTR but unfortunately didn't have a good day last June and went bye bye! It had the button on the top not front or side with curved depressions for ease of holding onto for long periods. I didn't need a belt holder to carry that around but it wasn't put together too well with the VTR not being such a well liked replacement for it! The MVP and iTaste VV v3.0 batteries? 6-11w wastes of time since everything else was 3w-15w! then the iStick was looked at funny at first playing the skeptic. But it has been serving the purpose of which it was intended compact with a little bit more power under the hood!

Well it was simply iStick by a different name! That was obvious with the initial look. Different brand name for a select group of sellers in certain regions where they can't have the same things we have here due to political factors or other reasons. You will now most likely see two newer Smart 30 and Smart 50 models once the two new iSticks are out!

I was wondering if they even have Copyright laws over there. Just curious.

When you special order in bulk directly from the manufacturer indicating you want to sell under a different brand name for a certain region that isn't any infringement on the patent or copyright the manufacturer owns. When you come out with let's say a clone and call it what it isn't then you are infringing on the original manufacturer's patent and/or copyright accepted by international laws.

It's just one vendor carries a certain eGo battery in plain unbranded boxes and sells them for less then some other vendor carrying the exact same thing only in a box with SLB in print on the box. I traced some unbranded generic looking batteries back to UltraFire since they were also carrying the exact same thing in the same color as the other 5000mah 18650s indicating the discount shopping site simply ordered them unbranded to sell for a slightly lower price..

I've honestly just been using the little 510 adapter along with the beauty ring with my iStick since the beginning. That way there's nothing to worry about, especially since I unscrew my Nautilus Mini about 3 times a day. That said, the beauty ring is really ugly, but I don't care; so long as it saves my threads from stripping.

Just want to say that I added the Kanger Aerotank to my istick, and I'm loving it too! I've been using the Nauti Mini on all of my isticks, but the coils seem to gunk very quickly (I vape NETs). I'll see if the Kanger lasts longer, but I'm really enjoying the vape with the Aero. Just thought I'd throw this out there for those that haven't decided on a tank to use with the istick. No leaks, no gurgles, no flooding. I give this AAAAAA+++++++

They have more of a trademark system than copyright. Apparently, you can copy a styling/design but not brands, model names or logos.

This allows OEM manufacturers the opportunity to re-brand for another company or to release a generic. Only if you have solid do-not-compete clauses in your contract can you avoid it. DNC clauses are expensive. Look to Apple as a prime example...

I know this is easier said than done, for most people, but I switched over to all 'light' liquids and I haven't had a gunk problem since and the 3 Nautilus' that I'm using have been going for over a month without even cleaning them. Dark liquid does gunk and then just ruins the coils quicker IMO. Good luck with that. Have you tried an Evod Glass yet, on the iStick? It's pretty dang tasty!! :)

I'll confirm your comments about the Aerotank. I have several and yes, they work great on the I-stick.

I just ordered a jwrap carbon fiber for mine!

Congrats, I think you'll love it. And an advanced tip that I've been meaning to share about their carbon fiber jwrap....I ordered the Duel Tone one, (2 different colors) and I was wondering how it would come; I thought maybe the 2nd color would be a stripe down the middle. But apparenetly. it's just a different colored top bottom- so they sent me 2 full sheets with the 2 colors. I'm assuming because it's the same cost for them.

Short version: If you order the Duel Tone, pick 2 colors, and you'll get 2 full sheets, effectively giving you 2 full wraps for the price of one. And you can mix and match.

How hard is it to put on? I always screw up putting the screen protectors on my phone, so I'm a little nervous!

I picked up one on the Ecig.com sale. It vapes great, but I hate refilling all the time! That sale was November 1st and I'm still on the original head. That was a deal!
I do have to put a condom over the drip tip when I fill it, or it leaks all over. Then squeeze the 3 drops back down the tube.

Get one or 3 more if you can, that way you won't have to refill as much. :) This is why I love the Nautilus' and I got 4 of them because I am soooooo sick and tired of fiddling with everything. I just want to pick it up and go!:vapor:
