Between that value and the 20W going under $30- the death toll for the eGo has RUNG. Bye bye buddies.

Apparently you haven't been following the eGo batteries too much lately! The eGo II offers a 2200mah battery that is bult more like a Vamo. EGO-II 2200mAh Battery - Black - VV TWIST Version

The original on the neck next to the main connector wobbly loose button was replaced with the newer batteries that started showing up late last summer into September. I ordered four eGo-V V4s with the improved button along with the 20w Vamo Fire wood body model to have onhand. With usb charging FT has them priced at $22.66 and without the cord $18.99 which they ship out in just the disposable sleeve you have to pull off of the battery. The button is now at the top of the battery tube rather then the wobbly old loose button on the neck next to the main connector on the updated version of the Mega battery. $22.66 eGo-V V4 Variable Volt/Watt 1300mAh Battery - 3.0-6.0V / 3.0-15.0W at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Despite the rash of mini mods being seen Smoktech is far from through selling eGo batteries but making some much needed improvements instead!

Any of my iStick friends here have any opinions on the Eleaf GS Air Clearo?
Looks like a good value, but I'm not seeing much written about it.

I'm using mine today- figured I'd give it another chance. Nothing overly impressive about it {IMO}.
It takes the same coils as the eGrip & since I have a bunch of those coils I'd rather use them then let them go to waste.

So far I haven't used anything but the BVCs coils that came with both the Nautilus and Mini tanks as well as what came with each Atlantis. Once upon a time when that comes where I have to order replacements I can set up two Nautilus tanks one with a BVC and the other with a BDC coil to make a comparison both being run at the same wattages with the exact same flavor to see which makes the better grade. I may have to finally replace one coil in an Atlantis tank however while the 5 Nautilus and two Mini are still on the originals.

I'd like to switch to the Naughty also, since it's a hybrid carto, but waiting until they sort out the controversy.
Then again, I'm not sure regular carto ingredients have ever been certified as safe.

Speaking of which....... Katya, where ARE you?

Definitely BVC for me

:thumb: Me as well...... BVCs, win.

They are now on the list, and thank you again.

See the vapor site I shop on is now listing the new 30w devices and also a mini 10w which looks like a pretty neat little mod that may invade my arsenal.

I took my 'Stick Mini to a vape meet today. EVERYONE, and that's the big boys with their big mods and their big clouds, RAVED and SWOONED. To say it was a hit would be the height of understatement!

Katdarling has taken on the very busy job of updating that list in this thread...

shackness, would you puleeze remind me why I signed up for that??

And by the way, I do know that I won't be able to edit the original post, so we'll just do updates every now and then as time permits. No worries. I'm on it. At least for now. If it ever gets to the point that I can not do it, I will pass the torch.

Nominees?

My center contact failed yesterday. The ohmage jumps all over the place and now commonly says "atomizer short" or "no atomizer." Anyone know of some cheap connectors available online that I could replace it with? The istick has been great otherwise- great vape and great size for the power.

Me...I wouldn't waste the time/money ordering/testing the BDC's.

I got a couple BDC's with 1 of my Nauty's and they were so "bad" (burned taste at low Watts, less vapor, short life) I tossed them out and replaced them with the BVC's.

ok folks....i don't remember whom suggested it...but THANK YOU!
So I grabed a 2ohm dual coil for my coworkers protank as most suggested but then someone chimed in with this vertical coil....they just came in the mail a bit ago and well...I had to give it a try....dug out one of my old pt2's and put that puppy in there....i'm impressed....the flavor is spot on and i've been a dripper now for a long while, gave up on tanks forever ago now :D and the flavor from this coil is the same as my et dripper.....now if my tanks weren't so leaky i'd really be tempted to use these all the time....but me and tanks never really got along....everyone would always leak out the connection....

edit....but i did find out ya gotta let it sit for a bit then kinda prime it before vaping (blargggg dry hit....)

I have one on order. I don't expect it to be the Best tank, but it looked like a very good, iStick worthy tank for low dollars - for someone like me who only has single coil EVOD tanks.

I'll soon be all eLeaf with an iStick 30w and the tank - assuming it actually ships. :)

I wasn't in any rush to try that out. Eventually I will needing replacement coils for all three Aspire tanks not just the Nautlius alone but the Mini tank plus the Atlantis which has it's own sub ohm coils. One thing I will keep finding in particular is when the vape gets hot better check the battery since that will likely be found to be low and in need of a recharge! I see this with every type including eGo batteries and other mods where you suddenly start getting a hot throat bite and burnt dry wick type taste and then swap out or pass the tank along to another battery and zzzzzzoom right back to where you had been seeing a good vape.

For the problem with coils I ended seeing something similar when trying out the various SMOK tanks a little over a year ago and while they all took the same coils 1.8ohm, 2ohms, 2.4ohms They could be worlds apart! For the large tanks it was the 1.8ohm. For the smalll 2ml tanks it was the 2.4ohms. And for the Tumbler it was right in the middle with the 2ohm Smok coils due to the tank design mostly. The next item before contending with a weak battery would be the wattage or voltage with VW not needing any leaps and bounds but 0.5w to notice a difference. Go from w up a couple of .5 notches and burn your face off! Yet the next flavor comes in well at 10w.
