Got my 30 watt today and Im having a problem. My Ehpro Kayfuns do not want to screw on this thing! My Protanks fit...my drippers fit but when I try to put the kayfun on I meet a lot of resistance and Im afraid to try to screw it down anymore.

Kinda bums me cause Kayfuns are the majority of what I use. Does anyone else have this problem and how I might can fix it? The only thing I can tell is that the 510 connection is a little longer but with hat floating pin that shouldn't be a problem. I wouldn't mind a little gap but you have to screw it all the way down for it to read it.

Seems like the resistance is more along the threads.

Oh that's not good! I have two 50w and one 30w on order primarily for my Kayfun tanks... Not feeling so good about my purchases now :/

Apparently some of the first batch 30's have a problem with the threads. I've heard 4 maybe 5 complaints. Since this is known to be a manufacturing error, I would ask for a replacement. The others have reported getting theirs replaced with no problem. If you want to, you might try getting a 7mmX.5mm grade 8 bolt and run it down in the connector carefully working it back and forth to clean the threads up. If it is a case where the threads are not ran deep enough you would have to run a bottom tap in it. I wouldn't recommend doin this without experience.

Its just weird though that pro tanks and my aspire mini fits on fine. I got it from rocky mountain vapor.
Yeah, I wish I had the Kayfun and the 30 here so I could get to the root of this problem... maybe. If the threads were not cut deep enough then the protanks and aspire mini wouldn't go in far enough either. Threads are gonna vary between manufacturers but somebody's qc is failing here. Maybe if you could post some close ups of the 30 connector and the Kayfun n' Protank threads.

Hi everyone. Just wanted to jump in here with the group since I just recently received my 30w and nautilus mini. I came from V2 and Halo's and so far I'm really enjoying the iStick. Anyway, just wanted to say hi.

HI, DAVID!!!!!

It's left Kat speechless.....:2cool:

Doubt that :D

mmm hmmm. ;)

(she's still laughing and giggling too much to speak.)

I went ahead and sent them an email. Really bummed about this cause I was planning on getting my mother one as well. But all she has is a couple of Kayfuns I gave her.

It seems like a very small % of people have had that issue with the 30w. Alot of folks on here have purchased from rocky mountain vapor and had no problems. I bet your replacement and Mom's will be fine--good luck!

I have 5 iStick 30's and one of them had a thread problem. My full-size Nautilus and Ehpro Kayfun tanks would only screw-on about half way. The strange thing was the 510 to ego adapter screwed-on just fine. I emailed Rock Bottom Vapes and they said to return the item at my expense and once they verified that there was a problem, they would replace it or issue a refund. I opted for the refund two days ago and am waiting for it to show-up on my credit card statement.

Thank's Kat. Yeah, check your spring connector, too. It should be moving up and down freely. Some seem to be stuck but will work free if you screw your atty in and out a few times. Why am I laughin?

Well, you guys went and convinced me. I'll admit that I was I was on the fence over the wonky-ness of the iStick 20, and I was trying to wait for the 50 watt.... but my 30 arrived today. Very nice--although I find myself still moving my thumb over to the next button to stop the scrolling. I know it's pretty much the same body-wise, but for some reason the 30 seems to fit my hand a little more comfortably. Does anyone else think so or is just this a symptom of my over-shinyitified mind playing tricks on me?
