Does anyone use a Protank II (or mini) with single coils on their istick? I'm getting a bad case of Istick shiny-itis, but I love my Protank II Minis. From what I read if I keep rebuilding the coils at 1.8-2 ohms, it should be alright.

At this point in the market, I would HIGHLY recommend purchasing a 30W iStick over the 20W. The 30W is a HUGE improvement at roughly the same price-point. The 30W allows you to find your vape on practically any atty and fires pretty accurately.

That being said, I still have my 20W in rotation. I often run a PT2 w/AFC on the 20W. I currently have a 1.2Ω, 28g, 6/5 wrap, around a #4 bolt (approximately 2.3mm) and wicked with rayon. On the 20W I vape it around 3 - 3.5V; 13-18W on the 30W.

Your 1.8-2.0Ω rebuilt head will vape fine on either.

I use a mini protank knock off from fast tech with it! I use authentic kanger 1.8 coils. It works great together :)

I agree with everything you opined there. Would like to add that I gave a i20 to a friends wife the other day with a iclear 30b at 1.8 and it was to hot for her. I made her a 2.2 and she told her husband she wanted to run away with me. Depending on juice the low end of the iSticks can still be a little hot for a few. :)

I was running both protank II and protank II mini's on my istick for about 2 months. I'd build them at 2.2 ohms and run them at either 3.8 volts or 4.0 volts on my other devices. On the iStick 20w, sometimes it ran slightly hot and gave a little rattlesnake at the lowest setting. Still perfectly fine to use though.

You shouldn't have any issues the the 30w since it can fire lower. But if you're running the original bases, I would highly recommend getting the air control valve (aerotank base) to go with it. I don't use any of the original bases on any of my protanks, and I have 5 of them.

Has anyone had an issue with the 20w version not taking a charge ?, its been running fine for a few months aside from the threads wearing down and yesterday it stopped taking a charge.............

Yes, BackDoc, I did. Mine stopped taking a charge, and I think it was an issue with the USB port. It went to another ECF'er, but there was no follow up. I will put out a message to him to see what the end result was, and let you know.

Thanks for the replies guys , yeah I tried it with multiple chargers to no avail.......bought off ebay months ago ,served me well up till now, knew when I bought it that it was disposable................

I would contact the vendor and see about warranty. I would assume that the original listing has been pulled by now since ebay has been very strict lately about listings that violate their rules. A paypal resolution would probably be very easy to pull of.....

Silicone case update- that ebay vendor that I mentioned yesterday, cloudfactor10 that I got mine from, has 1 of each color in stock right now for $7.93/free shipping. Not the best price, but it was fast, and I just got one more....don't want to get stuck without an extra before Chinese new year.

Seriously, for people wanting to explore this tank, I can't recommend evape.us enough. They are a really Super source.

I'm about to push the button on a couple of the GS airs. I like the little dual coil and possible air adjustment. I just want something that will deliver good flavor and no problems while I wait for the new stuff. I was a little disappointed in the Vivi Novas I just got. They are ok with flavor production with the BVCs, but seem to leak pretty bad especially if they get below a third full. I put em aside for now.

I really like my GS-airs. And, the price from evape.us can't be beat. They were shipped quickly too. I also ordered 2 packs of the coils just to make sure I didn't run out.
