OldLadyO-- do you use all those iSticks naked(no thread protection:510-ego, air flow adapter or bendy)? If so that's amazing!

That's actually a good question-- who has used their 20w with no thread protection and had no problems(including 510 pin issues)? I was too paranoid and used adapters right from the start
I've never had a adapter on mine and it's over 7 months old! Still works fine! I think most thread problems are operator/owner induced. Cross threading/over tightening.

Can you show us your pink Earl? That's in my cart right now.

- It seems to be operating on RMS instead of mean, or at least it is cooler at lower volts/watts. I plan to do a side by side comparison with the iStick. I have one juice, clearo combination that results in a dry hit with very little heat or a barely fast vape.

ETA: Comparison vape completed. It does run much cooler than the iStick 20w at 3.0v - 3.7V. There have been comments about the same on Fasttech for either the Smart-20 or BOU. Can't remember which.

When charging, the display is black. Have to press the button to see the charge indicator.

Major oops. I think I deleted the entire review. Sorry!

You're such a puppy. ;)

The things I've noticed won't show up in a pic. Let me give a rambling review. A lot of this is going to sound negative. Some of it is just different than the iStick. I'm within the time frame to return it. I'm keeping it because I like it, it's cute and having a pink Earl is fun.

Any questions, just ask.

Yes, I've got one. Are you a professional reviewer, or do you play one on TV? That was excellent, sisu!

And about that O ring lubricant... do you have any idea of the ingredients? I'm kurious, as I know a dab of PG or VG (or both) works perfectly well.

This was posted in the Deals and Steals thread. Found 4 bou 30w at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping The poster said it's a rebranded 30w iStick but it's very different. It looks like the clones are starting to appear.

And it's now added to the list.

Oh oops. Wrong thread. Oh welp. :)

Not posted on this thread -- 2 points Mr Stein!

I didn't recognize you. :) Would I get 3 points if I knew how to download a video? I posted in another istick thread too. I don't like to send people on a wild goose chase. This guy said the 50 has a SS adjustable connector.
I haven't heard that before.

For the record, VapeNW is no longer a registered seller on ebay.

This could be because of multiple things. One being that they had too many auctions against ebay policy (e-cigs), or possibly the amount of negative feedback they had.

In the past 6 months they had 6000+ positives, and about 80 negatives. That's actually a pretty good track record.

Ebay vape listings are drying up pretty good. That's why I'm happy to find a web site with competitive pricing and great customer service like evape, but unlike on ebay, the shipping isn't free. Probably more profitable for the sellers, but I really liked being able to buy parts as I needed them, rather than having to wait until I had enough for free shipping to put the order through.

Edit: I am aware that VapeNW has a web site. I didn't check out anything except for the iStick 20w at the time. After shipping, it was a couple of dollars more expensive than it was on ebay, despite not having to pay ebay listing fees and paypal fees.

True. But they have a website.

It's the same spring loaded 510 as the 30w. It's too bad Phil B's review queue is so backed up-- really like to see what he thinks. Looks great to me-- it's really not that much bigger than the 30w.

I suggested the Betty Boopish puppy avatar to Kat but it wasn't up to her standards :)

Alright just to update my "Atomizer Short" error message that was occurring even when no atomizer was attached was rectified.

I called eleaf (best way to get ahold of them I found) and a really nice lady gave me a funny tip. She instructed me to take a paper clip and just gently pull up from the side/underside of the brass 510 pin. I noticed no difference in the appearance and didn't even notice I had pulled the pin up at all but after doing it, I pressed the fire button and "No Atomizer". I asked her if this was a way to fix this issue if it showed up again and she said most of the time that's all there is too it.

It's really weird, when I originally purchased the device my RDA would not sit snugly while making contact with the 510 and I had to employ an oring to fix that. After barely nudging that pin, it fits perfectly and makes good contact. Some sort of magic, but I'll take it. Used the device for the entirety of the day and I really like it!

Yeah, he never would have gotten to the iStick 20w so early if it wasn't for so many people asking him to. I think most of us get the gist of the differences.

Eleaf really succeeded by making the iStick this size. The mid-range box mod market is flooded right now with stuff (Sigelei 30w, MVP3, IPV Mini, Cloupor Mini), but if you're looking for the smallest form factor, the iStick beats all those devices, and costs the least too.

It's not magic but a poorly designed 510 Pin. There is a little rubber grommet that insulates the pin from the case top and certain devices that have a long 510 connector will push the pin down too far and it shorts out giving the "Atomizer Short" message. Eventually the top of this little grommet (the greyish rubber you can see just under the pin) will separate from the body and it will start giving you a "Atomizer Short" all the time. It can be fixed with the silicone insulator from a Kangertech coil but that is only a temporary fix.

The grey rubber at the bottom is the factory insulator that will finally seperate.

I just got two 30 watt iSticks in the mail. Much improved over the 20w version. No button rattle at all. And matches up perfectly with my Lemo's. 20watter just became backup.

Shown with the Ipow 2 because that's all of my vape gear right now.

Black with the black lemo drop is going to make a sweet little stealth mod for the bar etc. I'm going to put some black electrical tape over the screen to keep that from lighting up.
