I've never had a adapter on mine and it's over 7 months old! Still works fine! I think most thread problems are operator/owner induced. Cross threading/over tightening.

No problems here either with threads on either of my 2 20W iSticks. I also agree with most of the causes of threading issues you stated. I have seen too many people for too long abusing threaded connections of many types all the while thinking they were doing nothing wrong. There are those that are mechanically inclined, disinclined or just plain careless.

Well, mine is working flawlessly since October, but I didn't tell you about this little annoyance. Mine is also a bit angled but once you realise it it's not a big trouble. Five thousands post earlier (given or taken another five thousand.....:D) several forum-mates got into trouble with the USB port. There was even a case of unintended fall while it was charging with the result of a dead USB port. I cannot remember now the final outcome of all this, but as in the Spanish forums some people run into the very same problems, I found the courage (and the Torx screwdrivers) to open my 20W and reinforce the USB port.

It seems to be really well soldered, but you never know........ I put a rubber support to secure it from being pulled apart from the main board and filled all the spaces with hot glue. Once closed, nobody notice the blunder, and it will work, which was the main goal.....:p

I might have to do something like this. Would hate to accidentally brake it just trying to plug it in. I made the mistake of showing my boyfriend who then just kept unplugging and re-plugging it in showing me "how easy it is" It scared me lol

After losing the USB port on my first iStick, this is one of the first things I did to my 2nd 20W and 30W. I posted photos here of my first 20Wer, showing little to no solder holding the USB port to the PCB. Reinforcing may not be necessary. But I find reassurance in it.

I'm a little OCD. Like collecting stuff, like to be prepared for the worst disaster I can think of...like to have a tank for each device, and a device for each tank. I love the min because I don't need the extra power and love it's tiny form.
They are perfect for my lifestyle, though I do look forward to the 30s and 50s for the floating pin and extra battery life of the 50. I believe in being prepared, and when you find something you like, to get a bunch! I like iSticks...(yup, for sure)

I didn't recognize you. :) Would I get 3 points if I knew how to download a video? I posted in another istick thread too. I don't like to send people on a wild goose chase. This guy said the 50 has a SS adjustable connector.
I haven't heard that before.

It's the same spring loaded 510 as the 30w. It's too bad Phil B's review queue is so backed up-- really like to see what he thinks. Looks great to me-- it's really not that much bigger than the 30w.

I suggested the Betty Boopish puppy avatar to Kat but it wasn't up to her standards :)

Not that anyone in this thread may care, but "updated".... thank you Bike and shack.

I adore your doggine, shack! (and who's the krazy person that told you I have standards)

Yeah, he never would have gotten to the iStick 20w so early if it wasn't for so many people asking him to. I think most of us get the gist of the differences.

Eleaf really succeeded by making the iStick this size. The mid-range box mod market is flooded right now with stuff (Sigelei 30w, MVP3, IPV Mini, Cloupor Mini), but if you're looking for the smallest form factor, the iStick beats all those devices, and costs the least too.

az, how does one define mid-range? (I feel some alden voluminous figures approaching....)

I just got two 30 watt iSticks in the mail. Much improved over the 20w version. No button rattle at all. And matches up perfectly with my Lemo's. 20watter just became backup.

Shown with the Ipow 2 because that's all of my vape gear right now.

Black with the black lemo drop is going to make a sweet little stealth mod for the bar etc. I'm going to put some black electrical tape over the screen to keep that from lighting up.

I like your post. Tell me, in the bar, your bar, do you vape? If so, openly?

 I should have figured that one out. I have a 30. But he did say adjustable not spring loaded when he was tryin to do a close up. And I thought I saw a slot in the center pin

Puppy needs more bling for Kat I guess :)

Much more. ;)

:offtopic:
Thought this was funny! Gotta send our reps ecigs!
"House of Commons officials have changed the rules to allow MPs to puff on e-cigarettes in parliament."

I had seen that one, shack! Good find and thank you for sharing it, albeit "off topic". I actually think it's on point.

Sweet-Vapes finally has the silicone cases in stock! I just ordered my 3, so anyone interested in a US supplier, here's the link:

Eleaf iStick 20W 30W Silicone Case

They are $3.95 each + shipping. I think my total order was $14.85 for my 3 cases and shipping.

I'm glad to see that for those that want to order from a US vendor. Mine were from cvapor, and believe it or not, got here in a week.

Funny, I've kept the plastic on the display panel of my 20w since I got it. The other day it finally was starting to peel off after 4 months, so I just removed it. Now the panel is starting to rattle .

I've transitioned to using the 30w as my primary now over the 20w. The ability to fire lower than 4 real volts comes in handy with my protanks.

Once someone gets the silicone case, can you confirm whether it's hard silicone or if it's the soft silicone that attracts lint? I would consider getting a case if it doesn't attract lint like crazy.

4 days and zero fuzz. :) Time will tell.

Somebody was tryin to convince me that the 50 is nearly double the size of a 30. But Eleaf did a good job in keepin the size down while doubling the capacity. I think I'll like the added 1/2" width better. The first thing I noticed about the 30 was that it didn't fit in my hand quite like I wanted it to. But that's me. I still think the 30 is the best device I've bought to date. It performs great, trouble free, easy to use and it's got a nice rattle to it :) (took my tape off, cause it seemed silly)
I think the 50 will be the ultimate mod. Unless you think you need more power for cloud contests or something. I ain't knockin anybody's gear but for me,
I need a 100 or 200 watt mod like I need a 900hp pickup. I don't want a juice hog any more than a gas hog. Besides I got a hog, a Harley Shovelhead :)

WHAT? You took off the infamous tape????

For the record, VapeNW is no longer a registered seller on ebay.

This could be because of multiple things. One being that they had too many auctions against ebay policy (e-cigs), or possibly the amount of negative feedback they had.

In the past 6 months they had 6000+ positives, and about 80 negatives. That's actually a pretty good track record.

Ebay vape listings are drying up pretty good. That's why I'm happy to find a web site with competitive pricing and great customer service like evape, but unlike on ebay, the shipping isn't free. Probably more profitable for the sellers, but I really liked being able to buy parts as I needed them, rather than having to wait until I had enough for free shipping to put the order through.

Edit: I am aware that VapeNW has a web site. I didn't check out anything except for the iStick 20w at the time. After shipping, it was a couple of dollars more expensive than it was on ebay, despite not having to pay ebay listing fees and paypal fees.

I just placed my first order with VapeNW last weekend through their website, and they came through with the lowest prices I could find anywhere for an Atlantis and replacement OCC's, and an iStick 30W. But if that wasn't enough, they shipped the order to me freaky fast like Jimmy John's on speed. Don't know how they got so many negatives on ebay. They knocked it out of the park in my book.

I got my iStick 20w from them back in September last year when they didn't even really have feedback, and my experience was good too, fast shipping. Not sure how they got so many negatives either.

I got these about a week ago from ELEAF ISTICK SLEEVES - MADTOWN VAPOR. Lots of colors, even orange. They're 4.73, 78 cents more than eleafs but the shipping was only $2.50 for 2 and if you spend $8 you get 15ml free eliquid.
They also have them for the Vamo and MPV.
They're the soft rubber, fit very well. They have all the button cut outs, lip on top and bottom. My hub has had his in his coat pocket all week and no lint!

If the bar allows smoking I do. If not I ask the bartender if vaping is allowed if so I do, but try to keep it as inconspicuous as possible to keep it from being an annoyance to the non-smokers/vapers. I generally don't blow huge clouds, and using a foot long tube mod in those places might attract unwanted attention from the nazis. If they don't allow vaping, I don't go there, the same as when I was smoking.

Welp lucky you that you even HAVE places that allow smoking/vaping. We do not. Not even an outdoor patio these days.....

It's called go stealthy or go home. :(

Recently there have even been more reports of clouders getting stopped by the Police. :(
