I think the iSticks are ergonomically better, too. I'm just thinking that there Should be a good segment of people who care more about battery life than those minor ergonomic improvements, and for those people, an MVP 20w could be a really good deal.

I'm broke, but when I graduate to mod 2, I'm seriously considering it being an MVP 20w instead of a second istick.

My istick 30w just came in the mail today. Wow I never imagined it was so small. Has the fire button rattle too. Unfortunately my subtank mini didn't show up.. Gotta wait till Tuesday now to use it.
Just got back from local vape shop here to get some new liquid, and woah they wanted 59.95 for istick 20w and 69.95 for the 30w. Those prices are insane.

When they were the only game in town, I didn't mind using the MVP 1 or 2. But I prefer the feel and smaller form factor of the isticks. The 50W is heavier, but it's still smaller with rounded edges than the MVP -- and, as I've said since it's release: it's all about the form factor. The comfort factor. The iSticks are just more comfortable to hold and use.

I don't own an MVP of any generation but I totally agree it's all about the form factor as longs as the performance is there. As I've stated before I've got several high end tube mods including 3 Provaris one of which is a P3. After getting a couple iStick 20's last fall they are all collecting dust now with the narrow exception of the P3 which I only use at home and only to keep a topper with a different flavor in rotation. I now have a 30W iStick and Joyetech eGrip. They are my new go to devices. The days of the large form factor regulated mods are done imo.

Also, Todd posted on his FB page that he put the 50W on his scope and anything above 3.9 volts is a straight DC signal, anything below, PWM.

This is just like the 30W. Flat DC @ 4.0v and above, PWM below. I am building all my attys to stay in the 4-5.5V range and the vape is identical to a DNA 30. The option of having PWM for the low-wattage vapers is great however.

B&Ms have to make a profit, fine. Business rates etc. But when they get greedy they should remember that people can get stuff cheaper on-line. The same way they do.

This oughta stir the pot. :)

I don't see a whole lot of MVP 20w talk/love on the forum. I know everyone in the Innokin world was waiting for some 3.0 version - that wound up being a bit expensive.

But, looking at that MVP 20w. For those people who really don't go beyond 20w, but want the best battery at that price point, isn't the MVP 20w essentially Better than the iStick 30w? The MVP 20w has a 2600mAh battery, and the iStick 30w has a 2200mAh battery. For that price point - 30 to 40 - when a person is looking for the best battery life, wouldn't the MVP 20w win?

...except for the form-factor and ergonomics. The MVP is considerably larger than the iStick 30W. The MVP's button placement is identical to the v1&2. It is the form-factor and ergonomics that make the iStick family so brilliant. If they were any bigger, I'd own a Cloupor mini.

I'd recommend a Cloupor Mini over any of the Isticks.

Hey all, has anyone else found that the iStick 30W produces a slight harshness to the vapor? It's not a burning smell or dry hits, there's plenty of juice being fed, it's just got a rough sort of bite to it. I realize there were issues along these lines with the 20W version, but I thought the 30W was going to be all good, but I just cannot seem to find my vaping sweet spot. I have tried a wide variety of wattages with both my Nautilus Mini and the Atlantis, both with properly primed coils. With the Nautilus, I get either too little vapor or enough vapor with a harsh edge to it, but when I put the Nautilus my Innokin battery, there's no harshness. I get similar results with the Atlantis. In both cases, this harshness is enough to tear up my throat by the end of the day.
I'm not sure if the 30w uses pulse width modulation or not, if it does, some people can tell the difference between that and a flat DC signal. Could be you're one of those people. Sorry can't be of more help but haven't been able to find any concrete specs

I have an Istick 20 watt and an MVP 20 watt, and I like the form factor and ergonomics of the MVP much better than the Istick. The Istick is too small and not comfortable to hold due to it's "smallness" I guess if I were a woman (or man for that matter) with tiny hands, then I may prefer the Istick.

Fun stuff, folks. Is it worth getting a 50w iStick for the battery life alone?

Yes! I got mine Thursday around 4:30 and haven't touched another device since and haven't had to charge the 50w yet. It's just now down to about 1/3 charged. My 20w and 30w would need put on to charge by late evening after a normal days use. Just ordered another 50 and am selling my 20 and 30.

1 device with 4400mah > 2 devices with 2200mah

Well - I've got tiny hands and I like both. If someone finds an MVP too heavy they'll probably have difficulty picking up their socks in the morning...

That was the main reason I bought one. I like other things about it as well.

It would be a dull ole world if we were all alike, wouldn't it.

jefs I used my MVP & MVP2 well and they where durable as a tank! Heck I still grab them once in a while. But as far as a good little light daily driver I grab the istick 30. Sure hope I don't need to charge my cell phone while out vaping though. ;) I do however have ontop of it a great little clearo that I personally think is a sleeper in the industry. Its a (drum roll please) an Innokin product, the iClear X.l Tough as nails! I modified it slightly, and rebuild the heads myself with rayon but I just keep coming back to it. And trust me I have and play with way to much of this stuff! But for out and about this little package right here is hard to beat! :vapor:
