I was gonna buy a box mod with replaceable battery, you know, one of those Hanna "clones", but this was half the price, and smaller. I don't have a large vaping budget, so I was able to get mod and juice for less than I would have spent on the clone.
Also, I read many reviews on the clone, and many were not very positive.

I have an MVP2 that is roughly a year old, used it daily at work, so it has many hours of use, and it's still going strong.
When my battery dies in my MVP I will have gotten more than my monies worth out of it.(and I'll probably buy another Istick to replace it)

Everyone has their own wants and needs when it comes to vaping. My wants are, cheap, pocket friendly, and VV/VW, and this fits the bill perfectly.

Will this last as long as my MVP?

I don't know, but I'm hoping that it does.

Also looking to replace my aging MVP2.

I'll prolly get a VS rDNA but want to get one (or a couple) of these as my "Oh well" device......

"Oh well.....I guess I left it onstage when the Foo Fighters called me up there as a guest lead tamborinist"
"Oh well.... I guess I stitched it up it that guy's abdominal cavity when I was performing that emergency amateur appendectomy"
"Oh well.....I guess it slipped out of my pocket whilst performing that "double-triple" on the trapeze"

I'll shrug it off and just buy another.

OK Stinkputin, I call BS on that post. Foo Fighters don't do tambourines, just cowbells!

I like this better then my RDNA, my MVP 2.0 lasted about 7months before the battery crapped out, the center pin on the MVP was always messed up, always had to use a 510 extender on it, or pull it out every time I screwed a different device on it. My MVP 2.0 would last about 6 hours before it had to be charged.

Istick was 2.5 days before I had to put it on charge, now I just have to wait for availability to catch up to demand so I can buy a couple more. I've tried it with everything from Cartos to my Spheroid, 1 ohm to about 2 ohms, suits me just fine, and provides a decent vape on everything I've put to it.

Just trying to understand your segue

You say you like the iStick better than your VaporShark rDNA then went on to describe the Innokin MVP?
Could you please elaborate on why you like the iStick better than your VS rDNA?

Thanks in advance!

Well honestly, I've never been real impressed with the Evolv DNA chips, its inability to reduce voltage is huge in my opinion, the RDNA is very well made, and I don't dislike it, just like the feel of this Istick, don't care for the location of the display on the RDNA either. performance wise it eats Batteries fairly quickly, I charge it at least once a day, twice if I use it exclusively. I do like the sharskin, it really offers great protection. The price tag is where the hammer falls hard. If its performance I want I'll grab my $80 SX-350 in the FT Hana clone box. Blows the Evolv chip/RDNA away in every way.

I can buy 6 Isticks for the price of the RDNA, which has rather poor battery life when compared to even my Cloupor Hana, the display flickers quite badly when changing power levels, Cloupor doesn't, SX-350 doesn't, neither does the Istick, performance wise unless I have a low resistance build the Istick easily holds its own compared to the RDNA, and in some ways surpasses it. Sure the RDNA is more accurate within its limits, Doesn't use PWM, failure rate is very low, but you pay more just for the chip then the cost of the Istick. Bang for your buck its hard to put the Istick down.

Guess I'm just not a big fan of the Value received with the RDNA, if anyone is set on getting any evolv based device I think they should wait for the next gen release. Not saying the RDNA isn't a good device which doesn't work well, for me I just prefer pretty much everything on the Istick, especially the price tag.

Hoarder's Delight!
I have some RoyalSmokers 2.8-3.2 Ohm in my old stash box in case it's too hot for my regular stuff.
Now just wait.

RoyalSmokers... Now there is a Name I Haven't seen in a Long Time. LOL

Zoidman, when you had yours apart, did you measure it? Is it a true 18650. Just wondering if it might be an off size.

It was. And since an 18650 is a Common size for a given mAh range Requirement, it Didn't surprise me.

Good Design incorporates Easily available components at Low wholesale prices.

The PWM has really put me off buying one of these, kind of Ironic considering I started this thread and I can get an Istick within a day now.

Glad you folks are loving your Isticks though, maybe the next version will be better for me!

In fairness I've probably got too many regulated mods as it is.

It's kinda funny in a Way.

If eLeaf had released this Product as a 6W ~ 20W Mod, I wonder if this Thread would have Achieved Mega Post/View Status?

Don't think they would have sold half what they sold if it weren't for the frenzy surrounding it's true output

Hard to Say.

There have been a Handful of people who say that their iStick, at the Lowest Setting, gives them a Burnt Hit for the Ohms that they are Using.

But the Majority of the Posts seem to Love it. Myself Included.

For sure it would have been, the PWM is a real deal breaker for me especially after the likes of the VMAX/ZMAX/Vamo.

I find the vape to be a little severe compared to the Provari and DNA - it's a real pity as I was looking forward to getting one of these.

Would be amazing if an sx350 based mod would come out in this size or close to it

I made a very similar SX350 mod a few months back, actually in talks with a vendor about doing a fairly large run depending on cases, etc.

They wont be $40 though, that's for sure!

No idea what "bucking capability" is but I do know that each thing they add would increase a) the cost and b) possibly the size (if they'd need bigger chips, etc.)

As it is now, the iStick can jump through more hoops than I am interested in. If the price went to $70 so it could include sub-oHm, bucking capability and whatnot, I and a lot of people who just want something small and lightweight with great battery life wouldn't buy it.

But, if this design has any legs (and I think it will), similar, more expensive, sticks that can do everything except change the wick on your tank for you, will no doubt hit the proverbial shelves soon.

The point about 'buck', or being able to set the volts/watts lower than the battery (say battery is at 3.7v and you want to vape at 3.2v = buck circuit) - in this day and age, that really isn't a *special* feature, AND, their marketing led most all of us to believe it could do that. We are not asking for it to play music and be a pager too - just do what they said it would do - if it shows 3 volts, it ought to vape at 3 volts.

I would Hold Off judgment of the iStick until you try one. I have Provari's and DNA30's. For the Ohms/Watts I use, the Hit is about the Same.

But the Form Factor Fun (FFF) is Off the Charts.

BTW - What type of Ohms and Watts is your Average set-up?

Nice Looking Mod. Did you design the Enclosure from Scratch? Or is that Something that can be Purchased?
