Thanks, that's about $40 shipped for the whole kit which is the cheapest I've seen so far tonight, but I'm trying to keep it below 40. I need to get paid back for this and don't wanna get skimped. Feels so wrong to pay close to retail.

Oops.

They have a 13% off coupon this month too.

Sweet-Vapes has them....Eleaf iStick 30 Watt Base Kit

Any mini cell phone charger works.....really don't need the kit.

Wouldn't work if you had an iphone, and even if you didn't, that would suck if you couldn't charge your vape and your phone at the same time.

I like sweet vapes but that's $43 shipped for the whole kit. Kinda steep. I know the form factor is much nicer, but when you're pushing 50 you're getting into MVP3 territory, which is a superior product IMO. If it weren't for the size I would have preferred that.

Oh no, you're wrong at that. The charger is rated at 1A, and unless you use an iPhone charger it'll take too long. I keep an Anker multiport charger for my USB powered devices
Amazon.com: Anker® 60W 6-Port Family-Sized Desktop USB Charger with PowerIQ Technology for iPhone, iPad, Samsung S6 / S6 Edge, Nexus, HTC M9, Nokia, Motorola and More(Black): Cell Phones & Accessories
At least get one of these, they work great and declutter the wall sockets.

I use the mini USB charger for my Galaxy Note...no problem...I also use the USB cords for my Sony cameras...no problem....unless of course you want a battery charged almost instantaneously.

I haven't tried the fast charge USB for the Galaxy Note, the ones I have suit me just fine.

Thanks for the info Katy! Just wondering if you knew how to tell which ones are new. I couldn't find an answer on there. I know World of Vape actually tells you on their site (however the box is still the same labeling), but did you see anything written on the Aspire site that they are going to be labeled 'cotton'?

Nope, sorry. When in doubt, ask your vendor.

Kidney Puncher, for example, offers Atlantis cotton coils and they are clearly marked.

First off, I loved loved loved the Sherlock references, Kent!

Secondly, I wonder just how many of us would go back to smoking............ sigh.

Right.

IMRs, and others who mentioned it...... (Katya, go away at this point and do not read what I'm about to say....)

There are some vendors who still have the older style BVCs. One that did (at least a few days back) is 101vape. I do suggest that if anyone wants them to write the vendor first to be sure.

(Ok, Katyaya, you may come back now.) ;)

Abstolutely do not dry burn clearo coils. It won't do any good, and it only annoys the coil.

r7777777, I was giggling along with you. It's so amazing/amusing to see things go completely full circle! (And yes, I still have the ole Polident denture tablets in the back of the cupboard along with the blue foam and tea bags and screw/straw mods.)

Hey, the denture tablets may come handy, some day.... ;) But the blue foam has to go. :D

My hero-ess.

Just trying to keep you alive, dahrling. This forum wouldn't be the same without you. ;)

We used them to clean coils--they work just like vodka or PGA. But honestly, only a dry burn will get rid of coil gunk... I don't soak my coils any more.

Oh you shoud. It still works! Mind you, I do it on Vapeonly, and Nautilus heads, those I can't get into. All others, dry burn.

....bu bu bu but now I have all this cheap, cr....y vodka...

Haven't used it for a while now. Mebbe I should go donate it to the homeless guys. On second thought, mebbe that's not such a good idea. :p

Interesting thing about the vodka. If you leave some chromed brass parts - like Protank coil heads - in there long enough, the vodka starts acquiring a quite nice, light, transparent bluish tint, while the chromed surfaces start fading to a brass-ish color.

Strong stuff, that vodka.

Switching gears, have you tried the Lemo Drop yet? How do you like it?

Thanks Katy! No biggie. I think they're in the midst of phasing out anyhow. I just have to phase mine out. I have around 40.

Even if the vendor mentions that they're new, you need to inspect them upon reciept.

I ordered from a well-known vendor that specifically noted that they were the new cotton Nautilus BVCs. When I recieved them, they were clearly not. I talked to the vendor and after a slight push-back, they sent new ones and return shipping for the old ones.

The difference on the packaging that I could tell (and this might not be for all the packaging) is that the lettering on the authentication sticker that says "scratch and check" is red on the new ones and black on the old ones. The difference on the coil itself is that the flow holes are bigger. Don't let the vendor tell you that they are making the new ones with small holes now - it's not true. Small holes = old coils.

FWIW, I think the new design and materials are better than the old ones.
