Ok I have a problem with my 10w and mini. I am a bit odd, may be on my own, but I use a Kangertech Sub tank Mini. I know it won't work but mine does as I use the rba coil built at 2.5 ohms. Problem I have if I tighten the tank the tinyist bit I get a low indication. If I back off a 16th of a turn it works. Another 16th and it's open circuit. Funny it works ok on the red ones but not the blue ones.
Just posting here in case someone else has had similar problems.

Do you own a DNA40 device? Try the Ni200 temp control for the Nautilus. You'll be surprised!

No, I don't have an Evolv DNA40. When temp regulation appeared, I told myself I'd wait until the technology standardized. I'll probably end up with a YiHi chip somewhere down the road.

I take it you're using the relatively new TSC 0.3 ohm Nickel (NI-200) temp-sensing coils for the Nautilus. From your post, I'll assume that you like them a lot. What temperature do you run for a Nautilus? Do you vary the temp based on the juice? And do you know if the TSC coils are cotton-wicked, or do they use Aspire's mystery material that people are nervous about?

Sounds like the positive pin in the 510 connector is shorting out, which usually means insulator grommet problems. Apparently Eleaf used the same wonky fixed pin on the Mini as on the iStick 20. The cure for that is usually a little bit of deft micro-surgery---fitting a tiny O-ring (I don't know the size spec in the UK) underneath the pin on top of the existing insulator ring. Requires some gumption, patience, care, and pointed tools---jeweler's screwdrivers or something similar. Lots of people have done it, so we know it's not rocket science. You don't need to open the case of the Mini.

I read that the pin can be carefully pulled about halfway out of (or up from) the original insulator---about 2 mm---without breaking the soldered wire from the pin to the chip board. Then it's easier to slip the O-ring over the top of the pin. Once in place, gently push down the pin to seat it again, and you're back in business.

My Subtanks, Mini and full size do the same thing on my 20's. I placed a small oring around the 510 threads on the bottom of the atomizer. Now they when tightened securely hold well an do not cause to much pressure as to short the connector. :)

I just got a couple packs from MyFreedomSmokes as well, and so far they taste bad too- but so did my other coil that I got out of a fresh Naut Mini that came with it. But it goes away after about....1-2 mils of vaping. I think the cotton just sort of burns at the start, and you have to break it in/let it soak much-much longer beforehand. At least that's what happened with mine last time. I hated it to start, but by the end it was just like the old BVC's. You might want to fish one of those out of the trash and knuckle bite through it.

But I read somewhere the that 100% cotton ones come with a slip thing, and these didn't... I just don't know anymore. But something to try to salvage these- it only tastes bad at the start.

Thanks drysprocket :) That was a 'white lie' in my early post. I didn't actually throw them in the garbage.
I did try and salvage them the following days and they just had to be duds because they ended up still being nasty. :p
As I'm typing, I am ready to toss this last one out of the 8 that I went through the other day. This one just has a bitter taste at the moment and I'm not liking it.

And what size is the magic o-ring? Please bear in mind that I'm English and can't sample the delights of Wallyworld. :)

Blimey - that sounded offensive by mistake. I just can't get stuff from the places you chaps do. :)

I'm not nervous about the material, bear in mind that I've been vaping for 6 years now, no signs of silicosis or other health concerns. I switched to the Ni200 to have the subohm experience without the increased air flow, and I must say I'm very impressed. I run it at 430 and 25w. Most of my liquids are 50/50 and I'm waiting yet to have some HINT of a dry burn (never had one in the Nauti, only when priming heads insuficiently). I should set it for juice but no, I set it for max flavor and vapor. And I'm getting a much better vape than at regular 13w I run my 1.6 ohm coils at. And sometimes I hit even higher, but never a dry hit. But subtanks have too much airflow for my taste so I'm sticking to this.
BET next iStick will have temp control for the masses...

Edit: Now I'm thinking I could build a Ni200 double coil for the Vertex, I have some lying around from my Oddy days...

After I posted, I swapped out the head on my GS Air---again---for a fresh one. It didn't occur to me that I'd get two dud heads in a row, but maybe a third time is the charm. This head performs much better---less gurgling, no popping or spitting, and the flavor seems significantly improved. Perhaps it's the draw I don't love. No matter where I put the adjustment screw, from shut-down tight to completely open, I get a fairly loud whistle when I vape. If I draw very slowly, the whistling diminishes, but a normal mouth-to-lung draw makes my GS-Air sing like a flute. I guess it's possible that I got a funny tank. Anyway, don't let my whining rain on your parade.

I recently got a GS Air after vaping exclusively on the Nautilus Mini. The whistle is annoying but you kinda get used to it after a while.

I got it because I'm afraid the new larger hole Nautilus coils won't work for me.

No sooner did I buy the GS Air that people start talking about how Eleaf changed the GS Air coils. I had a mixture of the two in my order and the original worked great, the new style is causing some gurgling that I have to clear about twice a day with a modified Q-tip.

Sorry to hear that. Imho the coils from FT work very well (and the whistling thing - forget that, Do you want to vape well or what?) :)
Welp, I got one on it's way and it looks like I have a new instrument to learn. Sounds like fun. Does it come in the key of A?

Maybe they have an iStick 100W with temperature protection & 6600 mAh waiting in the wings, to be sold for $70... Oh... and smaller than a pack of analogs.

Wouldn't that be a kicker?

First of all....... where ARE you? We miss ya, alden!

And, have you all procured your 'Stick 100w yet? ;)

The one I use is 1/4" X 1/16" (6.35 X 1.58) it does the job nicely :)
