You can indeed sand it down. But you must remove it from the pin first. Pick up some emery cloth. It works great on o-rings...
I was just working on it. I took out the ring that I just bought and put a ring in from a GSAir coil. The heads go on smooth and they stop just where you want them but now I have a firing switch problem. With no head on, the switch is fine. When I put a head on, the switch tightens up. What did I screw up on this thing?

I got it working now. I never had to leave the house for that o-ring.
I grabbed a dead GSAir coil and used the clear ring that's on top of the coil and put that under the firing pin, then put the original one back on (over top of the 'Air Coil' ring) and it's brand new again.
I don't know what was going on with the Switch. I guess you really have to have everything lined up correctly in order for the switch to work. The real test is putting a mini nautilus on it and it's sittin' pretty (no where near the top, Frohm (fakeChrome) where it was putting gouges in it before!
I'll vape on it all day and change out a head a couple of times and report back to hopefully say "it's fixed". :)

Thanks to everyone that helped me on this. I used to love tinkering with things like this, but I don't have hawk eyes anymore and it just makes it a little overwhelming to do tedious things. Maybe one day I will get Laser Surgery. :)
Hey, IMRs, you "borrowed" my glasses! LOL.
My husband got lasik surgery a few years ago. One eye they corrected for reading perfectly and the other for far vision. (Apparently your brain adjusts to use the proper eye for the activity you are doing.) He's been very happy with it and had no problems. He can see a fly blink, 200 feet away, even! LOL. Not everyone is that lucky, though. Some people have difficulty with blurry vision, trouble with night driving, lights, auras, etc. I didn't do it and prefer to just use my "readers" when I need them. Depends on how bad your vision is - if it is a chance you are willing to take. I will say, however, the surgery is less expensive now than it used to be and there are fewer reported problems.

Ha, ha, I've had the laser surgery, but I still need some help with all this tiny stuff. I picked these up from amazon some time ago and they work great.

Indded! Bubbles would be proud for sure, I have a personalized hand written note from him, my step daughter used to hang out with Mike Smith and his friends.

I think you might have moved the power wire around a while jigging and poking with it, that in turn pushed it against the power button shaft when an atty was screwed on.

I use one of these with a 5 Diopter (2.5X) lens and the loupe attachment.

I am glad you got the 20W fixed!!

Originally I was going to post an answer to Lynn about this but didn't want to sound argumentative.
I was going to say, "Actually the surgery does work, but I cannot do it until my eyes quit changing.
My prescription has been changing almost every 8 to 12 months, so if I would get the surgery, I'd be back to square one in a heartbeat. So this is why my Doctor told me that it would be a waste of money getting it done because of all of the drastic changes.
However, if you're one of the lucky ones and you're eyes are done changing, I'd go for it. It is sort of a guessing game, but if you haven't changed prescriptions in years, you're most likely a better candidate for it. As far as cataracts go, if they're bad enough and they're ready to operate on them, you get a 2fer! A 2 for one deal, because now a days, they laser them anyhow, so you end up seeing better than a Hawk!!
My Sister still hasn't gone back to glasses for about 10 years now, but the difference is that hers obviously were done changing.
And now back to our regularly scheduled vape session!!

That pic of the guy in glasses? Is that Bubbles. I had no clue (just used it for a joke). Who the heck is Mike Smith?

Oh, and yes, I figured I bumped something and I did take the lid off a couple of times to straighten things out or at least try. Once I put the rings in, I lucked out and the button quit acting up. It's working beautifully now! :) Thanks!

Mike Smith is the actor who created the character of Bubbles from the Trailer Park Boys. It is all filmed right down here in good ole NS!

Here is a Mike Smith (Bubbles), Ed Robertson from the Bare Naked Ladies and a few other musicians having a little jam... :D

IMRs, I guess things have changed since I had my appointment to talk about LASIK. The doctor I saw said that it would not help with presbyopia which is what I have. Maybe I need to go back or seek a second opinion.

And I would never think of you as argumentative. :)

I would always recommend a 2nd opinion, but like I said, it really just depends on how much your eyes are going to change in the future. I have astigmatism

So do I. I haven't had a change in prescription for at least 5 years now so maybe mine has settled down.
