I think you've all forgotten about this little great device, the Smoktech Gripper

She went from 3 to 6V, was a little flimsy but it fired hot and steady. It used PWM, and I never had a coil pop on me vaped at regular voltages (2v+the ohms of the attached atty) and used a regular 18650.. It was discontinued because people loved things like tube mods. Mine finally stopped working when the pin broke. Same case scenario with the iLeaf, only with a smaller footprint.

We can argue about the iLeaf but good ideas will always come around. If you don't like it or are dobious about it, don't buy it. That's all it takes.

I still have a couple that I use everyday. I just adjust it for the best taste for the topper I'm using, and don't get hung up on numbers. Every mod I own hits aq bit differently with what would be the same voltage / wattage setting, never worried about the number just the taste.

The rep these got for being "off on the number" forced them off the market, lost a good low cost VV mod.

New Model???...The Grove 2

3.0-6.0 Volts, 3.0-15.0 Watts, 3800mAh, $36.99

The Groove 2

The Goove 2 has been around a while at that price. It's just a v1 that's been fixed to prevent the battery from venting... I considered it when I bought my VTR. It uses the same "unfilitered" 33.3 Hz chipset that the VAMO & ZMAX use. While the 3600 mAh internal battery is nice (and easily replaceable), it's only a 3 amp device. It'll never fire above 18w, unlike the VAMO and ZMAX with dual 350s. It's also more than twice the size of the iStick. But for your average vaper, not wanting more than 15w, it's a heck of a deal. But now there's the iStick...

I remember Attypops (I think?) once Posted that he would like to see a VV Mod that Didn't have a Voltage Scale. Just Cryptic Symbols that ranged from the Lowest to the Highest settings.

This would Force users to just Concentrate on finding the Sweet Spot for a Given Atty/e-Liquid. And stop them from comparing "Numbers" between APV's.

Still wouldn't keep us sissy-vapers satisfied at the lowest "symbol" though. We'd know something was up!

My new lawn mower has a turtle and rabbit on it. To your point, I swear my old lawn mower's "turtle" was a bit slower.

Not forgotten at all. I have 4 left. I only break out one when the previous one dies. Excellent vape for what I want but too flimsy. The wiring dies for no reason after a while -- sometimes a short while.

This is how I choose settings anyway. Since I don't have a point of comparison as of yet, I just play till I find a setting I like. [emoji57]

I popped my EVOD clearo with a 2.5 ohm coil on my iStick at 3.0 volts setting, and it vaped like my other regulated mods do when set to > 4.2 volts (burnt).

Now, for other setups that work at higher wattages, it may be a non-issue. My Genitank (1.8 ohm, dual) at 10 watts indicated on the istick works well with three of the air holes uncovered. Close just one more air hole, and the slightest "overcooked" flavor comes through. This is using MBV 50/50 Coumarin Pipe eLiquid (18 mg/ml). I haven't put the Genitank on my other mods to see what power gives a similar vape. I expect it will be far greater than 10 watts....

Just Sounds like the iSick just Isn't for you with those Cleaors.

Have you consider PIF? I'm sure there is Someone who would be Very Happy with it.

But, it's working with the Genitank, so I'm good to go. My AEV (all evening vape) is Coumarin, and I vape happily along with the iStick/Genitank, fill as needed, and swap-charge the two iSticks.

I had to make it work (for me).

As previously written, and reported by others, it would have been GREAT for the LWV crowd, if it performed as advertized (assuming my assumptions about Vave vs Vrms are confirmed by Phil).

So the iStick just Doesn't work with your EVOD Clearos, Right?

Have you Tried Mod-ing them? CE4 Style Clearos like that EVOD are Very Simple to MOD. Just Cut a Small "V" at the Wick Openings in the Seal.
