I was driving around town today when I realized that I was only a block away from a B&M that I've never been to. So, of course, I stopped in.

Guess what they just got in stock today? That's right. They have the black, the blue, and the 'red' in stock. In case anyone is in San Antonio. The store is Thanks for vaping on San Pedro.

They let me give it a try. It was great. Lots of power, but happily not too much. Now, I'm even more excited to get my pr-order.

They're only charging $45! I had to stand there and think a while. Gas and groceries? Or, a cute, little blue istick? It was a struggle. I could do without the groceries, but not the gas. So, I walked out.

Thats the difference between you and me, I'd be rocking the shoe pedal express for a few days ;)
Or making use of that bus pass I've had for years but never used.

Quick Update: Sad. Very Sad.

Well, I broke my Eleaf. I had to much joy from this thing and it finally died. I did my usual, unscrewed my atomizer to refill, and when I screwed it back on, it would not fire. It was screwed on too tight, but the thing is, it wasnt too tight, the only way it would fire was to unscrew it to the point that my atomizer wasnt even securely screwed on. It was a bit wiggly. Me and my bright idea decided to unscrew it and open it up. Word of advice : DO NOT OPEN it up. buttons get all jacked up if you decide to pop it open and budge things around. Regardless, the atomizer only firing up while wobbly thing started today, but the first day of purchasing, my spheroid would not fire unless i extended to centerpin a bit...That was working fine until suddenly today when it would only fire when unscrewed a bit. Just a word of caution to anyone buying this thing. May want to wait till or if they come out with a v2 with adjustable centerpin. So sad....time to go hunting for a new VW mod.

Is this a situation where the MadVapes circuit board spacer that was mentioned earlier in this thread make it work?

I live be a Fundament Finical Rule when it comes to Impulse Buying.

"If you can Afford it, Buy It. If you Can't, Charge It!"

Madvapes circuitboard spacer? Sorry I havent been keeping up with the thread too much. Can you elaborate? I didnt buy mine from madvapes. Bought it from heavengifts. My problem was the first day I bought it, when I screwed on my spheroid..it wouldnt fire, so I figured I had to unscrew the adjustable centerpin a little on my spheroid a bit...I did just that...and it worked flawlessly. Today when I unscrewed my atomizer to fill it, I screwed it back on..and it said atomizer short. Weird, so I unscrewed i, screw it back on...and it would only fire when it was barely screwed into the Eleaf...almost wobbly.

Awh Man... That is Very Sad.

If the things are not Too Bad, you Might be able to fix it by Pulling off the Strips of Plastic that Hold down the Button on the Outside of the iStick.

Check this Out.

I Didn't. But I Know Now how to take the iStick apart.

Because I Didn't heed Salem's advise. Because Last Night I took the End Covers off again.

The thing that Bugged me the First Time was how to get the Board Out while Clearing the Button Posts? Because the Button are Always the Problems it seems when Gutting or Putting a MOD back together.

With the End Cap off I can see that there are 2 Black Semi-Transparent Strips of Plastic that hold the Buttons Down. One runs from the End Cap up to the Fire Button. This holds the + / - Buttons and half of the Power Button down. The Other is a Square that goes from the Power Button to the Top Cap.

These pieces of Plastic is held down with Double Sided Tape.

So to Take the iStick apart, you Remove Both End Cap and the Top Cap.

Then Remove the 2 Pieces of plastic that hold the Buttons.

Turn the Unit over and the Buttons will Fall Out.

NOW you can push the Innards (Board/Cell) out from the USB end of the unit. DON'T PUSH ON THE BOARD OR CELL IF THE BUTTONS ARE STILL IN THE UNIT.

I've got another one coming. I'll do a Picture Dissection to my First once it arrives.

---

BTW - There Isn't a lot of thread holding the End Cap Screws to the Body of the Unit. So If you decided to take the Screws out, Be Careful when you put them back it. Make Sure that they are Perpendicular when you start them. And they Only should be Tightened "Finger Tight" + 1/8 Inch Pound.

And a Big Time Warning...

That's the iStick Innards. An 18650 wearing a Jetpack. LOL

Warning Will Robison: Since the Battery is Hard-Wired to the Board/Boards, parts or All of the Board is Energized. So be Very Careful Handling the IStick Innards. Poking it with a Dental Pick can Release the Magic Smoke.

Don't Ask Me How I Know This.

Yeah... That does look like it is RIP Time.

Are you going to Cut the Red/Black Wires and then removed the Battery? There are Some Numbers on it that can be Reveled when the Sticky Foam is Removed.

ETA:

If you do Removed the Battery and the Sticky Foam that holds it to the USB Board, DON'T Use Anything Sharp to Scrape off the Foam like a Knife.

This is an Internal Battery. And Doesn't have the Protective Metal Cylinder that 18650 Batteries have that are Meant to be Handled.
