received mine yesterday from Avid. normally I vape at 8 to 9 watts. On the istick I'm using 6.5watts with a 2.1 ohm aerotank coil
hits great and the tank sounds like its frying Bacon

Yea I'm closer to Dallas, I can't wait though, having only one mod is HARD, I've never only had one lol. I have too many ADVs to have only one mod... I think I have vape ADD lol.

I am wanting to order an RBA , and I see vapeoutlet has a good price on what I want. If I'm remembering correctly, that throughout this thread, there have been some problems with them concerning the istick. I wonder if that in general they have been pretty good on other things. If anybody has any other dealings with them, I'd be interested in hearing your experience with them.
You might go read their negative feedback for the last month. I wish I had.

Yes. The one from Avid, which comes in what I assume is the official eleaf box, reads: OUTPUT: 1000 ma. That's 1 amp if my maths are correct.
I have an array of micro USB cables and plugs (warts, whatever its called that has the ac plugs). A number of them say 500 ma, which I believe is a half amp. I do have one here that came with my high end android phone (a nexus 4 mfd by LG) that says 1.2 amp. Caveat: the text on all of these is ridiculously small.

Another observation. I'm more than happy with the experience I'm getting on istick with kafun and rebuildable in-tank carto atty at the lowest available watt/volt setting. Kayfuns are about 1.5 ohm, the sophia (in tank carto atty) is at 1.8. In fact, I could see wanting to go lower for a less warm vape sometimes, but that option is not available. This could relate to whether istick can buck/step down. I don't care much, just my observation. I do wonder whether I should start wrapping my kayfuns higher ohm. I have already reduced nic level from 9 to 6 in an attempt to compensate and/or take advantage of a probably fake nic reduction benefit.

I forgot to add: given the range of listed amp outputs on my various USB wall warts, does anyone know my phones and eleaf are fully compatible with all the chargers I have? Is eleaf and phone able to charge safely with a half amp up to 1.2, just faster or slower depending? I also have a couple evic easy heads (if anyone remembers this great simple device) so I wonder if I need to be mindful of which wall wart I'm using or is it all good?
I've had issues with Vapeoutlet in the past and no longer order from them.
On a more positive note my iStick is scheduled to arrive from Uvape on Saturday (ordered 7 days ago).
I always use the lowest power setting on my battery chargers. Somewhere along the line I got the idea in my head that it's better for your battery to charge slowly...

On 9/24, I preordered a blue iStick from (PREORDER) iStick by eLeaf 20 Watt 20W SHIP FROM USA Authentic – Ace of Vapes, when it was $29.99 and used their coupon code (on their page). They have raised their price by $10 since then. The expected delivery to them is still 10/3.
On 9/30, I ordered silver full kit from 20W e-Leaf iStick Full Kit - Joyetech - eLeaf, using a coupon from this thread. Price with the coupon was $42.60 shipped. Their price has not changed. They have all but blue available ATM.
I received the full kit today. It was in a cellophane wrapped box with the eGo adapter, AC-USB adapter, USB cable, and manual.
It looked to be fully charged and ready to use when I opened up the box. The small size really did surprise me, even with all of the comparison pics and videos I've seen, it really is small. It feels well made and fits the hand very nicely. I love the screen, it tells all the info you would need, in one glance.
I won't be able to use my 1.8 ohm mini T3S heads, until the battery runs down a bit, they taste terrible at the lowest setting. I will wrap them higher when I use them up on other devices. My 1.8 ohm wrap on the Kayfun + tastes better, but the 1.6 ohm build I have on my Igo-L is JUST RIGHT.
I'm glad I can rebuild to suit my preferences because I would definitely be disappointed otherwise. It doesn't do what the description says it can do (to my laymen ability to read English). There are evidently 2 ways to read the description. They wrote it so it sounds better than what it is. It is not as versatile as they say it is. I don't care what the cost of something is, it should do what it says it can do, without reading between the lines.
Since I can compensate for the hotter temp by rebuilding higher ohm coils, I will use it, but this won't be on my list of recommended devices for non-rebuilders, or vapers that are unable to find higher ohm coils for their preferred topper. I was hoping for this to be the next step for my v-verts vaping journey, but it will not be.

Agreed. I imagine ileaf was focussed on the high wattage craze and supplying a 20w device for that. I always thought I was a dude who wanted/needed a big throat hit and thus a hotter vape, but no. I didn't realize how little I understood about folks lung hitting at 20 watts, geez that's gotta hurt. Its not like I can't live with the un-regulated (un-downvolted) vape on my 1.5ish kayfun, but the idea of adjustability means your sweet spot has options to go higher and lower. Not just pegging it at minimum.
I'll re-wrap at 2+ ohms and see what I can find out, knowing the reading on the screen will not be a guide to what is really happening. I do dig this device regardless.

Unless its explained, the word "Best" as used by a manufacturer is interpretive. They very likely mean 1amp charger is best for quickest charge, while anything over 1 amp may damage the battery.
Yeah I too have read numerous times that a slower charge is better for the long term life of a battery.
