If OPs could agree as to which one to close, I could close one of these threads and link it in the first post of the one left open ??
This is the older thread...posts are neck and neck...
is there one that really has more information over the other ?

iStick doesn't step down voltage, so be aware.
I remember reading that..... I think I already ordered it by that time....
It is only a problem for the few of us that still vape low power, but seriously, it should be able to step dow, even at this price point. How hard could it be? How much would it cost to implement? Me thinks, not too much.
Vape on!
I prefer this thread, just because of the title.
The MVP2 steps down, does it not?
or..y'all could just agree to post in one or the other and let one fall away...
or...y'all can keep posting in both threads...
zoiD's post in the other thread about combining them...would be messy
(also got a PM from someone about doing that)

I don't understand what step down means...but I have my 1.8 Nautilus at 6.5w. 3.3v and it's vaping fine...not where I like it but was just checking it out....now going back to my 11w![]()
Let us say you have a fully charged battery (4.1v or 4.2v), and you do the above "1.8 Nautilus at 6.5w. 3.3v" - that should be a nice cool vape, full of flavor, but because this device does not have a 'buck' circuit, even though it is showing you 3.3v, it is really giving you the 4.1v or 4.2v of a fresh fully charged battery, thereby giving you a much stronger/hotter - higher wattage vape.
I have yet to get my device, so I am only going by what others have written. The point is, this device cannot give you a lower voltage/wattage than the battery currently has. So (stealing ProVape lingo for a moment) - if you want a device that will deliver the exact same vape from the first puff to the last... - it appears the iStick is not your baby (if you are a low-power vaper).
The iStick has the circuitry to 'step-up' as needed - meaning if your battery is at 3.7v and you are vaping at 4v, you will get the 4 volts that you are asking for until the battery needs recharging.
Does this make sense?
Features:
1. OLED screen: Its particularity lies in the incremental OLED screen displaying battery condition, resistance, wattage and voltage.
2. 2200mAh large capacity: Although it can fit in the palm of one hand, the capacity is huge. The 2200mAh capacity helps you enjoy the vapor all day long.
3. 20w strong output wattage: The output wattage can be up to 20w which caters your heavier vapor demand.
4. Adjustable voltage: The voltage is adjustable vary from 3.0V to 5.5V according to your vaping habit.
I'll leave it up to your good judgement classwife!
