Somewhere out there
If OPs could agree as to which one to close, I could close one of these threads and link it in the first post of the one left open ??

This is the older thread...posts are neck and neck...

is there one that really has more information over the other ?

I prefer this thread, just because of the title.

or..y'all could just agree to post in one or the other and let one fall away...
or...y'all can keep posting in both threads...

zoiD's post in the other thread about combining them...would be messy
(also got a PM from someone about doing that)

iStick doesn't step down voltage, so be aware.

That is seriously bad news. I was going to post that I am thinking this to honestly be a MVP2 killer. I too am a low wattage/voltage vaper - I can get almost two days out of my ProVari with a 18490 battery sitting at my desk (my MVP2 is my travel mod) and I can get an entire weekend from one charge on the MVP2. I usually vape on a 1.8 coil at 3.3 volts (nice and cool with lots of flavor).

I've not gotten my iStick yet. But personally it'll be a paperweight as I like my Silo tank (Beyond Vapes) and the Nautilus coils aren't readily available in a 2.2 or 2.4 ohm size.

I remember reading that..... I think I already ordered it by that time....

It is only a problem for the few of us that still vape low power, but seriously, it should be able to step dow, even at this price point. How hard could it be? How much would it cost to implement? Me thinks, not too much.

Vape on!

The MVP2 steps down, does it not?

I found the right bit and couldn't resist taking a peek. I have no intention of doing a complete disassembly, I'll leave that for someone braver than myself, but I took off the bottom cap to just take a little look.

Impressive how much they packed in a tight space. I like the machining of the aluminum enclosure as well. That white round thing covers a bit of insulator over what appears to be a soldered wire connection to the battery.

There would be a lot of seeming duplicate posts if the two were combined.

So just to let anyone that is curious know. I just got my iStick yesterday @ 12:45pm (EST). The battery meter looked to me to have a FULL charge right out of the box. I vaped it exclusively from 1 pm yesterday up to about 9:45am this morning.....(and I was using it until 3:30am this morning). So, on a fairly heavy vape day, I got about 20hrs and 45 minutes of use (minus the 4 hours that I slept). I just charged up the iStick (using a tablet USB cord plugged into my laptop). It took approximately 2 hrs 15 mins, to 2 hrs 30 minutes for it to regain a FULL charge....from COMPLETELY depleted......That's All Folks!:).......WAIT!.....almost forgot. Vaping on a Kanger AeroMega @ 2.0 ohms @ 5 volts or 11.9 watts, according to the screen on it.

Vape on!

It steps down - lowest output voltage 3 volts.
Stepping down isn't a big deal at any price point - Ego Twists do it don't they?

I don't understand what step down means...but I have my 1.8 Nautilus at 6.5w. 3.3v and it's vaping fine...not where I like it but was just checking it out....now going back to my 11w:D

Let us say you have a fully charged battery (4.1v or 4.2v), and you do the above "1.8 Nautilus at 6.5w. 3.3v" - that should be a nice cool vape, full of flavor, but because this device does not have a 'buck' circuit, even though it is showing you 3.3v, it is really giving you the 4.1v or 4.2v of a fresh fully charged battery, thereby giving you a much stronger/hotter - higher wattage vape.

I have yet to get my device, so I am only going by what others have written. The point is, this device cannot give you a lower voltage/wattage than the battery currently has. So (stealing ProVape lingo for a moment) - if you want a device that will deliver the exact same vape from the first puff to the last... - it appears the iStick is not your baby (if you are a low-power vaper).

The iStick has the circuitry to 'step-up' as needed - meaning if your battery is at 3.7v and you are vaping at 4v, you will get the 4 volts that you are asking for until the battery needs recharging.

Does this make sense?

Look at the blurb - it steps down!
Features:
1. OLED screen: Its particularity lies in the incremental OLED screen displaying battery condition, resistance, wattage and voltage.
2. 2200mAh large capacity: Although it can fit in the palm of one hand, the capacity is huge. The 2200mAh capacity helps you enjoy the vapor all day long.
3. 20w strong output wattage: The output wattage can be up to 20w which caters your heavier vapor demand.
4. Adjustable voltage: The voltage is adjustable vary from 3.0V to 5.5V according to your vaping habit.
