I can not find any Aspire BVC coils with a higher ohm rating than 1.8 available to buy. That's *my* point. It would be a simple answer to simply use 2.4ohm coils/heads - but not if you can't get them (And no, I can't rebuild due to having bad hands).

2.1ohm BVC heads on fasttech. 5 for $6.60. Not authentic Aspire, in case that's an issue...

Got my Aspire K1 clearo today, here it is on my iStick. For anyone who likes the BVC coils and want to try something smaller (or cheaper) than the Nautilus mini, I highly recommend this. Vapes just as good and a smaller size, no air control but I like the way it hits. Only thing is, there's a small gap and I'm pretty sure the ego adapter is going to get stuck inside the base at some point so I'm trying not to screw it in all the way.

See? This is me as well. I vape rather than smoke. When I smoked it was simple, buy the same brand, style, and size. Don't crush them or get them wet. Have BICs everywhere - and smoke. K - that's how I want to vape. Now, ya, I am/will doin a bit more work to vape - but then I also get to vape in the house with my wife around me (real plus there) - but none the less, I like my Silo, and my 1.8 BVC heads (can't find any higher ohm) - and I just want a simple 6-8 watt vape for flavor and a bit of white smoke.

Is that too much to ask for???

Nope. If you got it from the Eleafus site I'd contact them and let them know about it. Maybe you can send it back under warranty:) I swapped mine over to volts and at 3v it's a pretty anemic vape. Yours may have a malfunction.

so wheres the cheapest place to get this? I dont have an ebay account and honestly dont want one. I know vaperstek will have them in stock but it says box only? what does that mean?

You really don't need an ebay account to buy anything on ebay.

Just "Buy It Now" => "Continue as a Guest"...and you can buy the item without setting up an ebay account.

(Setting up an account [ie. choosing a Name & Pasword] just means you won't have to re-enter Name/Address,etc. the next time you buy something at ebay.)

REALLY? Is there a chance that the iStick is supposed to buck down?????

If so, I'll be a very happy vaper!!!

Maybe I need to contact them.....

It is for *me*. I vape the same juice all the time (shades of vanilla 65PG/35VG) and just want the same vape in the morning that I get at night. Yes, I own higher-end devices, that's not the point. The small size, and ease of use but yet no buck circuit?? The point that has me stamping my feet that others seem to be either ignoring or being snide (un-needed) about, is they are *lying* on their SPECs - people keep copying the "3 volt" which is showing to be untrue. There lies my problem.

I completely agree it is shady that they list it can step down. I understand that it does not step down. Not trying to argue on that side of it at all. There has been some confusion on this thread by some who quoted the manufacture as their “proof” and some who don’t seem to understand the concept of “step-down/buck”.
I used to vape at lower volts when I was running a vv3 and a vapeonly bbc which was why I was asking if you didn’t like the vape from the mini at 4V… If you have tried a higher wattage vape and don’t like it then the false advertising would that much more upsetting.

I can't say for sure, but if you're trying to do lower volts, and it doesn't seem to you like it's doing lower volts, you could call them.

...

Non-techie customer service people at eLeaf/Joye checked with the manufacturer who told them that the the iStick does not have a buck circuit. My particular iStick tends to confirm this information as it does not reduce power when checking it under load on a Smok Omnitester, a very inexpensive meter.

However, I would like to make it abundantly clear that I do not consider this to be absolute "proof" of anything. It is possible that something got lost in the translation between eLeaf/Joye and the manufacturer, that my iStick is not performing as it should and/or the Smok Omnitester isn't correct.

I hear you. For now I guess it’s “compelling evidence” but if it quacks like a duck and walks like a duck…

Not for me. I got mine from EleafUS and using a 1.8 ohm BVC in my full size Nautilus has been perfect from start to finish. No burnt taste, no issues with it period.

I have the Silo and nautMini with the BVC heads and this battery is working great. Is the vape too warm around 4Volts? I prefer mine closer to 5V (~14W on BVC 1.6).

I tried numerous Clearomizers and CartoTanks and was always happy with 6-7.5 Watts.

Then I got a Nautilus (with the Aspire BVC coils) and discovered a "new dimension" in flavor and (almost) overwhelming vapor production.

But...the BVC coils function best at 14-15 Watts.

So this Istick will be much more convenient for out-and-about than my Vamo 5.

That is my only issue with my MVP2. I have 'OA' badly in both hands. And the way the button is on the MVP2 makes it painful for me to use throughout the day - even when changing hands or positions. It IS a wonderful device! But the button press does me in.

Cut a piece of "Dr Scholl's Corn Cushions" to stick on it. You'll LOVE it!!!:headbang:

I still tend to think it's mostly just inacurate.......which has been very common with Chinese devices.

All else about it is very nice, so far. :)

BTW, I think the BVC's are very nice at much lower wattages. I like them on the iStick at lowest possible setting quite nicely.
Just because the BVC's can be used at higher watts doesn't mean one has to.

For me the “best” range has depended upon the juice and the device. The silo doesn’t seem to keep up as well with higher vg juice and doesn’t like wide open air hole above 12W. My mini with the SS top will do 14 or so with high VG.

Again, I am not a technical person...but have found the Aspire BVC like more power than any other atty l I've used. I got a couple of Nautilus tanks (full size and mini) and for the first time turned my dial up to 11-12 watts..my coils are 1.8. I do not like my other attys that high...the KFLs I build about 2.0 and like to run them around 8 watts. I did get ahold of one 'fake' box of BVC coils and they did not like it at the higher watts:blink:
