No problem dry. We all were newbies at one point. Better to ask the question than to wonder. Friendly, helpful crowd here... oh, NOT important, but it would be mam..... :)

I gave up on that last point. I put my gender in my signature.

In the [H]ouse fandom I can assume everyone is female even though their avatars are Hugh Laurie or Robert Sean Leonard. Here, everyone referred to me as "he."

I can't like this post enough. Very pretty setup!

It's nice to learn every button and function in under 2 minutes.

And I learned something not to do. I'm vaping this Cuban Mojito. It's a very strong juice, strong throat hit, and I was enjoying it at the lowest power yet for me, 3.3v, 6.3w on a 1.8 bdc brand new tank. I was watching The Voice and cruising the forums. Took a hit and nearly blew my head clean off!

Seems I was holding it and somehow hit the power up button with my pinky or the sofa. That hit was at max 16.8w!!!!! 8-o:shock::censored:

This is my first device with buttons and not a dial at the bottom.

Yes, I learned something. I'll be more careful when idly holding it, and maybe I should set it down sometimes!

I've done that with my Grippers and my (not so dearly) departed Ovale V8s. That's the problem with settings not locking but you do get used to checking. Also, if the settings circle around, you can be vaping at the lowest volts or watts, hit "down" once and you're at the top of the range. I haven't had a chance to do it with watts yet, but doing it with the voltage is akin to sandpapering your throat. With an electric sander.

The "step down" question has been posed to Eleaf (Joyetech) on the Reddit thread:

Also, some here in this thread are being cited and referenced. Why didn't Eleaf just come here to begin with? :D

Yeah. Why. :D

That's very interesting actually, KODIAK!

Dave Oh No.... thankuverymuch. I know there are many with far prettier setups than my own, but I do like to have a bit of fun with them.

I think I posted in here.... hmmm... maybe, maybe not. I have had that experience with holding the up or down button on the 'Stick and having it be a runaway train! If you hold the button (either or) for more than a second, it will SPEED DEMON to the far end of the spectrum! The first time it happened, I was so stunned and actually didn't know how to stop it! (doofus me - just hit the opposite button. duh)

.

What's with all the reptile/rattlesnake talk? I own 2 iSticks and neither of them make any sound when firing. I've tested a lot of different coil configurations at various wattage settings and I've never heard anything.

Kryp, I'm pretty sure this has been posted, but here ya go in any event: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...nt-vape-same-provari-dna20d.html#post11203944

While I really do like the istick, it without a doubt fires hotter than my evic, SID, SVD, MVP, 3 Sigelei's and Smok Zmax.

RIMP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have ZERO tech abilities with this device (or any device for that matter). I do know that I can adjust to taste (with or without Zoid's marvelous electrical tape idea ;))...

This little mod is truly a no brainer. If you like a diminutive form factor, and a hard hitting vape, welp, done deal. It's brilliant!

And cheers to the karto tank users. :)

Ladies and gentlemen, we've been cleared for takeoff! Fasten your seatbelts! :D

The "step down" question has been posed to Eleaf (Joyetech) on the Reddit thread:

Is it true the claim that the iStick cannot step down it's voltage?
This is an annoying problem for clearomizer users. For example, if I vape a Kanger Protank with a 1.5 ohm coil, the absolute minimum wattage I can output with a fresh battery is 12 watts. In my experience, Protanks work best at 6-12 watts, but to get that range on the iStick you would need a 3.0 ohm coil which Kanger does not produce.
Any thoughts on this? Any plans to add voltage step down in the future?

joyetechUSA: We're aware of the claims that have been made--they're false. We'll be releasing a comprehensive video response to it in the coming days.

Also, some here in this thread are being cited and referenced. Why didn't Eleaf just come here to begin with? :D

The plot thickens. :D

Do you use a mini naughty BVC? It's the only tank I've used on my iStick, so I don't know whether or not it rattlesnakes with others. :shrugs: As I said, it doesn't bother me in the least, so...

I am getting amazing flavor off of this thing, btw...

What I think is funny is that most new products do not cause that much of a stir anymore but I have to say that this one has. At the beginning there were 2 threads going about this product so good or bad, It has caught our attention. I am curious about some of the data when it comes out but I probally would not understand 90% of it but my bottom line is that it works for my wife and I. As we all know tastes are subjective as far as everyone is concerned. We have people using different tanks, cartomizers and I know that all our juices are not the same even though the label says 50/50 or certain of an exact nicotine level. I come to these forums to research products I am interested in. I am a simple vapor who just wants to stay off the analogs. I like the small form factor where I can stealth vape. So happy vaping and if you purchase this item, I hope it works for you because it works for me.

Scottbee and Kent C? :p

I'm sure they were fans of the show. It was a great show and it had plenty of male fans. But that's quite a different animal than being part of the fandom -- belonging to forums for discussing the show (in detail); being the administrator for a new forum about it when many fans stampeded away from Television without Pity when Bravo bought it, working on transcripts of the shows, participating in a fan-drive to raise money for Broadway Cares in honor of RSL's (Robert Sean Leonard) birthday (it's a charity fighting AIDS and he was on the board at one point) -- there's lots more but you get the idea.

For use with the 'Stick? I'd get the 17.97s.

<joking of course>
The highest ohmage right now for the Naughty BVCs is 1.8Ω.

dwg64 and DaveOno ... I've been experiencing the hit-less click as well. It's probably happened 3 or 4 times each on both my iSticks. I stop and check myself thinking I wasn't directly on the button. But I have to say that this has happened to me on all my batteries, sticks and MVP before. Don't know that it's happening more so on the iStick.

All this confirms is we're not cookoo lol

Here's a question for all of you "and I " iStick users. Do you use your thumb, or your index finger to pull the trigger? I've always used my thumb, but now with little gem, I kinda like using the old pointer [emoji4]

Oh and for some reason I keep going between 11 watts & 12 chasing my sweet spot. Damn OCD!!!
