So I've discovered that after a few charges the voltage is settling down somewhat. I set to taste, but my setting is closer to that on my vv3 now than it was at first with no burnt taste. As I said before I don't care what the numbers say, I just thought it interesting. I know nothing about electronic engineering, so I don't know if this is real or possible or if it's some kind of placebo effect.

I've noticed the same thing. Except for me, the effect is very negative. I use my istick towards the upper end of its power range and since my last charge, it just doesn't hit as hard no matter what build I put on my kayfun. I'm starting to have reservations about the quality and longevity of the battery in there. If I put my kayfun on my wife's iStick, it hits like mine used to. So I think my battery has already degraded. Sucks because I've only had it for a week and a half.

Idk if it's possible or not myself, but I feel like that's accurate. It seemed like when I first got it, it was warmer, after a couple cycles it's seems to run a little cooler.

An update: I placed my order yesterday afternoon from VapeNW and by 8PM it had already moved to the next PO. I was pretty surprised they were able to get it out so quickly! It should be here Tuesday, which is AWESOME since I have STILL not gotten either of the other two I ordered (and that one is coming from WA to TX). I'm really hoping USPS has some answers for me tomorrow about why on earth the one from Avid has just stopped moving (since 2am on the 2nd)! It's really frustrating bc I sold my other mod bc I thought I'd get a replacement pretty quickly and then it stopped moving and we got the email from Ace Of Vapes saying their shipment didn't come in on the 3rd like it was supposed to! KNOCK ON WOOD nothing happens to this one!!!

Oooh...didn't think about that... Nice to know it's not just me, though.

I'm hoping it doesn't continue getting cooler, like Krypt2nite is concerned about. Hope one of your devices shows up soon.

Uvape is selling pre-orders for $31.68 shipped but they're in Federal Way, WA. Same as VapeNW. Hmmm.

I purchased my 2nd one from Uvape on Friday and although it says "Pre-Order/Estimated delivery Sat, Oct 18 - Mon, Oct 27" it looks like it's shipped and should arrive in a day or so.

Hmm, I don't like the sound of that. If the power delivery settles down and maintains a similar output to our other devices after many charges, then that would be ok, but if it continues to reduce output at the rate it did for you guys in only about a week, then the Istick would not even be good value a any price

It is the wall wart that would be 1amp. The MVP did not come with a wall wart. I do have the 1amp wall warts and the .05? Wall warts. I have used both and I do not see much of a difference if at all in charge time between the two.

Your VV wall adapter may be 1amp. look at the sticker. Normally just under the prongs on the plug.

You should also note that not all usb cables are created equal. Some are not capable of delivering more than 500ma (USB Standard default power) to any device even if you plug it into a 1A or 2A wall wart. I saw some cheap cables linked here and I would strongly advise against them for this reason. Cables-to-go is a reliable source though and are recommended.

Another source would be to find Samsung, LG, Blackberry, Motorola or HTC brand usb cables (MicroUSB) on eBay. Blackberry chargers with the microUSB connector also works well.

I got an update this morning and my order is in NJ and the delivery date of Monday looks good. I'd be curious to know what the address of Uvape and VapeNW is.

Looks like there are thousands sold and this is a sample of 1 or 2 that exhibit this type of behavior. Might be a faulty unit that needs to be replaced.

These are electronic devices, not mechanical. There is nothing that breaks in or settles down other than the battery and a good battery shouldn't degrade that fast.

That's precisely what I'm wondering about; it may be a cheap battery that degrades fast.

And I don't know that the battery is degrading or will continue to do so. Like any Li-on battery it may just be breaking in and settling down. This isn't a complaint or necessarily a negative. Simply a report of what I'm experiencing on a thread for this device.

It's been a good thing for me. It's not fading, the first time I used it was hot, now it just seems normal. I'm actually still vaping lower than I would on my VS DNA and my MVP (from about 4.5v to 4.2). It's been very consistent, it was just the first use, before I charged it. I'm not concerned in any way. It's been a great, stable device and it's been the ONLY one I've been using since I sold my last mod on Monday. I get a good 48 hours off one charge, I'm very happy with it!

Did you contact USPS customer service online? You can click on contact us when you are looking at the tracking and fill the form out from there. I have had to do that twice in the last few months. Never did get a response but miraculously the package in question did start moving by the next day :D

I had a package sit in Tampa FL for 5 days just a few months back.

You know how the Lion batteries charge lasts longer after a few cycles? I wonder if that could have anything to do with what some of you are experiencing? No clue but just a thought.

They seem to level out after a few charging cycles. A more techinically minded person could explain much better than I am able to do ;)

Yup. That's what I'm thinking...normal breaking in period. [emoji4]

Lol, since i'm in fla. and don't have habbit of putting my ecig in freezer, we should be good ! hehe

I know that it is Hard to Fathom with the Summer that we have had (still seem to have) in So-Cal.

But Winter is Coming for Some People. And there are Places where if you leave a Bottle of Water in a Car for awhile, you will start to see Ice Crystal in it.
