It seems that certain atomizers that have slightly longer centerpins will cause the connection in the eleaf to depress into the unit just a hair causing the connection to be wacky. Seems like a design flaw. What makes me a little extra annoyed, is the fact that I saw some prototype eleaf isticks on youtube that had an adjustable centerpin....but it didnt seem to make its way into the production unit for whatever reason.

EDIT: The atomizer that caused my eleaf connection to bug out was a gp spheroid v3 incase anyone was wondering.

The centerpin that's causing this problem is the 510 to ego adapter.
I see when i screw in my aspire ces tank, the center pin on adapter starts to protrude out. You have correctly diagnosed the problem.

do they make adjustable 510 connectors?

I think it is adjustable, since centerping starts to protrude as i screw down the tank on it, and i can get my fingernail in there.
Perhaps the adapters suck Ginny.
I may have to go get the Silo tank to try. it's 15 bucks, is nautilus mini type tank, but has metal around it, and uses nautilus mini bvc coils.
check it out.

As much as I was planning on buying a Eleaf Istick, I am now convinced that this mod is just too small for my Kayfun Lite.

I think it would be perfect for a smaller size 14mm or 16mm clearomizer, but these 22mm RBA's such as the Kayfun ... no way ... too top heavy ... and looks silly setting on top of that little Istick!

its not just the 510 to ego adapter problem....My eleaf pin developed a problem when I screwed on my spheroid directly onto it without the ego adapter. I then unscrewed the atomizer off of the eleaf, and then screwed my atomizer onto another battery, which worked just fine, so it was a defect with the eleaf istick unit.

It could still be that the center pin on your atty is too long or short for the iStick. Does any other atty or tank work on your iStick? If so, the Eleaf is not defective just different from the other mod that you are using IMHO

It is never a good idea to screw your tank or atty on to any device tightly. You want it just snug but do not over tighten. That will cause most center pins to depress down into the mod and cause issues.

I have seen a review at Madvapes where the person had to use 2 of those spacers rather than just 1. May be worth a shot for people having the issue.

The centerpin on the spheroid is adjustable....wouldnt work all the way in to all the way out. So I used one of my clearomizers on the ego adapter to see if it was a problem with the spheroid. Again, the eleaf wouldnt even fire with the ego adapter and clearo attached to(wouldnt fire AT ALL, snug or partially screwed on) it either. The problem with the connection wasnt there when I first bought the eleaf. I always screwed it on finger tight and snug. I observed the degradation of the connection over the course of a week of owning the eleaf. First few days, no problem, then after 3 to 5 days, I had to screw it on more snug than usual to get a connection, then after that, it would only make a connection while only slightly screwed on. This made me came to the conclusion, that the eleaf connection got depressed a hair, when it was in that stage where it would only fire when screwed on more snug than usual, then got depressed, and for whatever reason, would only fire when partially screwed on, which makes no sense I know, but its what I observed. I have other mods and batteries, and my atomizer plus my clearos on the adapter work on the other batteries which made me zero in on the fact that it was a problem with my eleaf. I have already ordered another Eleaf, but the fact that other people also seem to have the same problem and the fact that my other mods and ego connections dont have the same problem, lead me to believe its a problem with the design or quality of the pin on the eleaf.

Some of you are lucky that your istick and atomizer work flawlessly together, but just to inform the public, it seems that some atomizers and istick combos might be suseptible to malfunctioning the pin on the elead isitck. And mine and other peoples experiences is something to note for those who are thinking about buying one. So take it with a grain of salt. Again, at this price point, I am giving eleaf a second shot, as I already ordered a second one. ill let you all know how it goes after it arrives.

The one I ordered from VapeNW Saturday afternoon is out for delivery today! From WA to TX! It's a blue one and I think I'm giving that one to my mom bc she wants blue and I ordered her silver (from ace of vapes, which is STILL waiting for their shipment) but I'll be borrowing it until mine from avid vapor gets here (which has left IA... yay lol, I wish they'd update ETA, still says I should have gotten it Friday).

Yes, it looks top heavy and awkward -- but using it, it seems more balanced than an MVP with a KFL on it. I haven't had any issues with this combination, and prefer it over the MVP combo.

This makes total sense to me as I witnessed this happen on my brothers zmax as well.

Hmm tried to just highlight the part I was talking about. Guess that doesn't work correctly on the phone.

I just wanted to jump in for a minute and ask a question that (I'm sure) was asked many times already and very sorry if it has. I received my iStick Saturday and went about my business thinking eventually I'll have to get one of my many usb cords out to charge this when needed. Today, I still have 3/4 of a charge (unbelievable), so while I was thinking of it, I went and checked and to my surprise, I realized that it is a mini. Plus all of my wall warts are .5 output and I've read that you need 1 amp out.
So I guess I'll need both. Anyone have any suggestions on where I can get both? Many thanks in advance. :)
