As much as I was planning on buying a eleaf Istick, I am now convinced that this mod is just too small for my kayfun Lite.

I think it would be perfect for a smaller size 14mm or 16mm clearomizer, but these 22mm RBA's such as the Kayfun ... no way ... too top heavy ... and looks silly setting on top of that little Istick!

I think your top cap is crossthreaded on the plastic tank (not relevant to your observation about top heaviness and overhang)

A couple suggestions for the users with connector problems on the iStick (or any 510 mod)

Carefully lift the center pin with a jewlers screwdriver or dental pick. Then take a piece of dental floss and wrap is around the underside of the pin once or twice, tie it off with a surgeon's knot for no slippage. It will keep the pin elevated if your topper isn't screwed in too tight again.

Otherwise you can simply use a 510-510 or 510-eGo adapter. Prior to use take a pair of tweezers and push on the adapter's center pin from both sides. Be sure it moves fairly easily, it's supposed to be a floating pin. Then push the pin from the top so the pin extends past the bottom of the adapter, thread it on to your mod until snug. This will ensure the pin is hitting the mod's pin and attach your topper just until contact is made, presto vapor.

With the iStick you can press the fire button to wake up the display, it will show 0.0Ω. The gently screw in your topper, as soon as contact is made the display will change showing the coil resistance.

My interesting conclusion is this- after you look just at the iStick numbers and have a look at the other device numbers, which ones match up to what most of us use as daily vaping measurements..
Understood. I wish you had an MVP, VV3 (anything by Innokin) or a provari to test in the 3.0-3.3 volt range. These 3 devices all vape much cooler to me compared to the iStick. And "I think" others here have said the same.

Mathematically, I can live with the numbers. Just curios about the differences in tech here. I find it interesting.

Thanks JD!

OK, for anyone looking for more scope pics (zoidMan) than I already posted earlier, here are the screen caps from my TPI Scope Plus 440 software (found it). The software doesn't have a cursor mode and readout so I still don't know if it's a Vavg or Vrms reading (and really don't care after you see my conclusions). ...

Cool. TY JD4x4.

But here is a Rookie O-Scope question.

What Value does 1 Horizontal line Represent? And where is 0 on the Horizontal Lines?

Heavens to Murgatroyd!! This sucka is tiny....

Like if an MVP and a couple of Evods had a menage a trois and gave birth to the iSchtick--and it was the Hulk.

This and a Naughty Mini would be my recommendation to any new vaper.
Innokin better take notice!

I agree, naut mini with istick would have any new vapor falling in love.

Hi Stew! Do you like it? I'm waiting for one to be delivered. How's the kitty? I've thought of you and her and the outcome, but was dealing with my Mom in hospice at home while we suffered thru end stage Multiple Myeloma. I ordered the istick because in my exhaustion, I put a battery upside down in my 2nd Cana and apparently fried the chip. Mistakenly ordered from vape outlet who claims it's lost in the mail.. Not a good month here.... So I'm hoping to smile about the cat...

any other fixes???? I want to love this lil sucker but it's wonkered!!!! THANKS!!

came to the conclusion, that the eleaf connection got depressed a hair, when it was in that stage where it would only fire when screwed on more snug than usual, then got depressed, and for whatever reason, would only fire when partially screwed on, which makes no sense I know, but its what I observed.

it seems that some atomizers and istick combos might be suseptible to malfunctioning the pin on the elead isitck.

It's not just the Istick. Happens quite often on Innokin VV V3's and MVP2's too (which continue to be quite popular).

5 Fixes:

ok caught up...thanks for some of the pin lift suggestions I did that...I'll try again..I do LOVE this, it could replace my MVP I don't want to send it back..

for those of you that say "works fine" WHAT tank are you using with it??

but the problem's two fold
It could still be that the center pin on your atty is too long or short for the iStick. Does any other atty or tank work on your iStick? If so, the Eleaf is not defective just different from the other mod that you are using IMHO

the pin's too long from the V2 (which I just screwed the beauty ring up a bit well Ed did) that solved the "atomizer short" issue but you have to turn the WHOLE adapter about an 1/8th then back when you get the "atomizer low" error almost every time you take a hit.

so any other suggestions?

Nautilus Mini BVC 1.6 and 1.8 depending on what flavor I want to use.
Magma RDA with a 1.0 Ohm coil

No problems yet, under 24hours use however. After 7 days or so I'll give an update to performance.

Yes, I like it a lot.

After getting out of the house, we never saw poor Jiffy again. I like to think he was found by someone and is now in a loving home (and that's what I tell the kids), but in my heart I know he's no longer alive. Sucks not knowing though.

Screw the beauty ring back down a smidge. Now you are having the opposite effect. I use to have to do this with my mvp v1. Never had the issue with the v2 and still waiting on isticks. I eventually used the oring as mentioned above (gerrymi's post) and this fixed it for my old mvpv1.

I'm using an Aerotank but......I always put a 510 to 510 shorty connector in all my mods so I don't mess up the threads:) No probs with mine:)

I just got mine today from VapeNW. It came in a shrink wrapped box with the iStick, ego adapter and instruction manual. It's definitely small and more comfortable to use than either my MVP or V5. I tried an Aerotank, Mini Protank 3, Kayfun Lite + and Kayfun 3.1. The 3.1 usually has problems with the center contact on the MVP but it's not an issue on the iStick. They all work great on it. The Kayfuns don't look nearly as bad as the pic posted and the balance is fine. If aesthetics matters to you, the Aerotank looks perfect on it. I have a 510 to ego adapter w/o the knurled part that comes with iStick and the Mini Protank 3 sits flush and looks good too. I definitely like the fire button over the MVP. It's much easier to press w/o being flimsy. I'm very happy with it.
