Where I live I have only found 1 vape shop. A kiosk in a mall and I know way more then they do or anyone else that has referred me to them... I will stick with recommendations from my friends here on ECF.

It was like that here where I am at in Kansas. Just 5 miles south of Wichita. Funny thing is now their are literally 10 very quality shops within a 15 mile radius of my house. And they are all doing quite well for themselves. Although extremely overpriced, it's cool to see them being successful and converting smokers.

Maybe you should open up shop, I bet you could make a killing! Hell I wish i would have, but I am a little late now as their is way to much competition as is in my area.

So I went to a local vape shop for the first time, I am still new to this, First of all I could barely see the the other side of the shop with the thick layers of vape smoke(?), Anyhow when I tried to have a conversation with the owner, who was the only person in the place, he looked at my iStick & was such a ...., telling me it didnt have enough power for my mini protank 3 & mega & said he was glad to actually have on in his hands so now he knows not to buy any for his stores, He wasnt even trying to push his merchandise, I hate Vape Snobs,, He did have a few good juices though, If I get in a situation that I cant wait for juice, I might go back, Not everybody is trying to blow giant clouds at all times, Screw him I like my iStick, & Id buy another

What a pile of crap that owner is. He is just a snob because you brought in a new product that he hasn't got his hands on yet. And you are right, it isn't about blowing clouds at all. BUT, with that said, my Patriot setup with custom drilled holes and bored out top at 19.5 watts does not hesitate billowing some dense cumulonimbus clouds one bit.

His loss. If I owned a shop, the first thing I would recommend to a new vaper is the iStick and mini Nautilus. Guaranteed to fully satisfy a new vaper to the maximum with little hassle and little out of pocket. I only wish that setup would have been around when I started.

I put money on the fact that he will be STOCKED with the iSticks if you ever do a return visit, that is if he can find any left!

Obviously not a very good business man, they are selling like crazy, and getting pretty good reviews. I have one on order as we speak, and I just got my MVP 2 weeks ago lol.

I tell you what man, the Nautlius with the new bvc heads are night and day between the mvp v2 and the iStick. Coming from first hand experience with both devices, you my friend are in for a real treat!

Prepare for dense flavorful satisfaction! :vapor:

I would say she fits in rather nicely in her new family!

Strange problem with my IStick this evening. It had one bar left so I plugged it in. Before bed I looked at it and the battery icon was flashing indicating less than 10% battery. Put a tank on it and full battery. Took a few hits. It seemed fine but when I plugged in the charge cord the battery icon flashes the 10% error again. The screen didn't turn off indicating full charge at any point. I have never hit low cutoff and I have never had a problem with it. I am using a 1amp charger which is reasonably high quality and works fine otherwise. I hope the charging circuitry has not given up the magic smoke. No indication of an issue other than the indicator light when plugged in. I tried a different charger with the same result.

Those do look pretty great. I've heard people have issues with flooding though. At the top of my list still, I really like the clean look. Kind of wish the Lite had adjustable airflow.

It uses same aspire bvc coils (non-nautilus) that is. I used it this past weekend had no flooding issues.
Well , it looks alot nicer then the naut mini with the phalic insignia
ASP-MINI-NAU-MET-WIND-3.jpg....just my 2 cents...lol.

Any ideas for a "longer" tank (rather than wider) that takes BVC's and won't spill over the edges of the iStick too much? I'd like to find something that holds a little more than the mini naut :)

Have you tried the regular Nautilus on it yet. It is what I am currently using, also what I have pictured in an earlier post. It barely hangs off, like you have to REALLY look to even notice it. It is hard to even feel the edges when feeling around with your finger. I really enjoy it as it holds close to 5 mils, which is substantially more than the silo lite. Plus imo a much better internal design, "never floods," and superior airflow adjustability. Just a thought, I am starting to feel like an Aspire salesman, I promise I am not. Just passionate about what I believe in!

Please keep us updated with how your iStick behaves. That does seem to be odd, but I am having a similar problem. I got mine on Friday, and had to charge it Saturday night for the first time. It never hit cut off, but was really really close. I vaped close to 5 mils on it in that time at a pretty low wattage, 10-12 watts. I would have thought I would have gotten a bit more life between charges, but still not a deal breaker. I have heard many others rave about how long the battery lasts, even with a lower resistance head at higher wattages. Mind you mine was the bvc 1.8 ohm head.

I am using the charger that came with my MVP v2, the one with 4 different ports on it, and plugged into my pc. I am hoping maybe it is just having a break in period as many batteries with this type of chemistry do. Also, i have always been told to run it completely down or very close to between cycles to extend the life of the battery.

Time will tell with this little beast of a device, I hope it pulls through! But if not, only paid 35 bucks for it, so no real loss!

I use a dbox puritank that hols about 4ml on my iStick with a kanger air flow control ring. As the puritank takes kanger heads I rebuild them as a vertical coil and wrap Muji japanese cotton around them.

As long as you have good air flow it works great, currently vaping LTEcigs "Plum Fresh" with a 1.5ohm vertical coil build at about 11 watts and it is an amazing vape for me.

I'm very lucky in my local B&M. They are extremely knowledgeable, willing to teach newbies, and as far as I can tell charge list for juices and mods and attys. Can find most things they sell (except the juices) online for less, but they don't seem to markup beyond msrp on anything.

I agree Blaize....I've had B&M businesses in the past and can only feel empathy for them. After rent (plus first, last and security deposit), utilities, quarterly taxes, start-up capital, accountant fees, permits, DBA costs, LLC fees, liability insurance... etc. etc..There is little left for the pocket.
I shop at local Vape Shops in my area Knowing it will cost more, but I don't have to wait and I can actually look and touch the item and get personal help with any issues it might have. Plus the fact that I have saved so much money by Vaping, I guess I can throw a little of it around:).

5ml seems like a lot to me. I've never actually discharged mine past like 1/2 way so far. I probably vaped about 1.5-2.0ml to get it down to 2/3 at about 7.5 watts, and it got down to about 2/3 left. Do you have a newer PC? I remember trying to charge someones phone on my 3 year old laptop and it not even budging a bit.

Newer PCs have USB 3.0, which can charge stuff faster. USB 2.0 is from the early 2000s, and can't keep up with today's devices, so you're going to need a charging base.

Tech Junkie has an issue that's more cause for concern. Charging cables do break though. I have a cable right by my computer chair and I rolled over it pretty much once or twice a day. After about 2 months I must have split the wire connection because my cable only charges if it's in a certain position now.

Also, I was told by an IT professional that some of these chinese made mods have spyware in them, so not to connect them to a computer. It makes sense, but I couldn't tell you for sure. It's just an FYI.
