Are you charging in pass-through mode or completely off? I've been charging mine in pass-through mode and so far it's charging OK.

I do both. Depends on when it needs charged. It appears everything was fine. Having all bars flash as it neared charge completion was something I had not observed before and the only mention of all bars flashing in the manual was the indication of less than 10% battery. At least the only reference I found. That print is very small!

I worry about getting dirt in the USB port because of it being on the bottom where you set it down, but, it is also the batteries' vent hole so I haven't plugged it. I was thinking of a piece of tape w/pin holes in it.

I ordered my first Istick last night. Got an email today saying it's been shipped.

I was planning to wait til the version 2 came out but there was a post in the Deals and Steals thread for one at $29.99 on ebay so I jumped on it. I see they upped the price to $34.99 now. They do have a Nautilus mini for $22.99 in the same listing so I might get one of those too.

My iStick from VapeNW came quick, legit. Would buy from that vendor again.

Worth it for the nautilus!

So I went to a local vape shop for the first time, I am still new to this, First of all I could barely see the the other side of the shop with the thick layers of vape smoke(?), Anyhow when I tried to have a conversation with the owner, who was the only person in the place, he looked at my iStick & was such a ...., telling me it didnt have enough power for my mini protank 3 & mega & said he was glad to actually have on in his hands so now he knows not to buy any for his stores, He wasnt even trying to push his merchandise, I hate Vape Snobs,, He did have a few good juices though, If I get in a situation that I cant wait for juice, I might go back, Not everybody is trying to blow giant clouds at all times, Screw him I like my iStick, & Id buy another

grrrrr !!!

Regardless of what you are using - that was rude as hell and I wouldn't spend a dime in that place !

What is the matter with people these days :grr:

5ml seems like a lot to me. I've never actually discharged mine past like 1/2 way so far. I probably vaped about 1.5-2.0ml to get it down to 2/3 at about 7.5 watts, and it got down to about 2/3 left. Do you have a newer PC? I remember trying to charge someones phone on my 3 year old laptop and it not even budging a bit.

Newer PCs have USB 3.0, which can charge stuff faster. USB 2.0 is from the early 2000s, and can't keep up with today's devices, so you're going to need a charging base.

Tech Junkie has an issue that's more cause for concern. Charging cables do break though. I have a cable right by my computer chair and I rolled over it pretty much once or twice a day. After about 2 months I must have split the wire connection because my cable only charges if it's in a certain position now.

Also, I was told by an IT professional that some of these chinese made mods have spyware in them, so not to connect them to a computer. It makes sense, but I couldn't tell you for sure. It's just an FYI.

Well, my pc mobo was manufactured in January of this year, so fairly new. And I have indeed been charging through a 3.0 slot.

I will keep that in mind about the spyware, actually just remembered I have a wall outlet adapter thing that accepts usb. I think it is just a .5 amp, but that doesn't bug me as I like to give me batteries a low and slow charge.

Anybody from Toronto Canada who has got the Istick, where did you order from or buy in person? Thx

Good life vapes at Bloor and Bathurst and mid town vapes (north of yonge and eglinton) have them in stock. Dashvapes in Richmond Hill also carries them.

The best deal is mid town vapes. Comes with everything for $50.00. They just got in a shipment today. The only downside is that they only have black in stock.

Am going to pick up a pink (red) one for my sister and a grey one for my cousin at goodlife vapes. Hope this helps

I now have one in every color lol. My mom managed to do something to the black one but it seems to be working ok now. I still haven't mastered wrapping the darn things, when I get to the screen, it won't tuck down the cracks it wants to wrinkle or stick up (guess I'm not 2% smarter than the device!). I really like them so far, they work great.

On another note, is it weird that I feel the need to teach new vapers (even though I'm still new-ish)? Like, someone was fixing my internet and asked me about my gear (at the time I only had the 1 istick and my VS DNA 30s), said he wasn't happy with the ego he had and tank. I had a bunch of business cards from places I order that I gave him, told him about Giantvapes bc I LOVE that place, made some suggestions on devices and just GAVE him a Nautilus mini, 5 bdc and 2 bvc. I was thinking about it later and was like 'I should stop giving stuff away, I'm friggin broke!' lol. That's just one example though, I do it all the time and if it's someone like the net guy who I'm sure I'll never see again, I get upset when I realize that I forgot to tell them something and I can't just call and say 'hey, I forgot to tell you...' lol.
