I did a funny test for science earlier.

Put my mini nautilus with the 1.8 bvc head on my old ctwist, set the dial at it's lowest setting which is 3.2, and it BARELY even fired. I tried this on two separate ctwists just to make sure.

Next, I threw the same tank on the iStick. Set it at 3.2 volts, 5.5 watts, and it fires like a champ. Very noticeable difference.

Conclusion, the tank on the iStick set at a measly 5.5 watts hits harder than my ctwist's cranked to 4.8 volts / 12.5 watts.

I know it has been said that leafVolts are overpowered, but this is some comical proof! :D

There is a Utube vid on the limits of the Twists/Spinners. At the higher settings, you aren't getting what it reads because of your Ohms and Amps.

I seem to be settling in at running the stick at 3Watts under my other equipment.

    ..

allow me to do the math...
(Istick) x (more power output than your average mod + 2 full days before I have to recharge) = priceless

When I got my istick a few weeks ago, I posted that it lasted 24 hours on my first charge.

I've noticed that that number has been dropping. My vaping frequency hasn't changed (I vape all day), but it's not lasting as long. I usually charge it overnight and last week I noticed that the battery was drained by 7PM (I typically start vaping around 8am).

Today, I started using my fully charged istick at about 7:45am this morning. As of 5:15pm it's completely drained and I had to plug it in. That's less than 10 hours of charge.

    Anyone else noticing this?

Additional info: I vape various juices, usually at around 12 watts on my 1.8ohm BVC's. I usually charge from the off state, but not always - doesn't seem to make a difference.

I didn't think I needed to state the obvious here but you are burnin up a 1.8ohm coil and juice at 12watts and you wonder why a little 18650 battery in a device that over powers, so you are actually hitting more like 13-14watts, and you are wondering your your battery isn't lasting as long?!

Jeez man your killing the battery it won't last

Thankfully no decrease in vape time here, please keep us posted.

To state the obvious....You totally missed the point that this is a NEW problem. The battery in this thing should function for longer than a few weeks at any power you use. I will be watching for updates.

12 watts does not even come close to "burning" anything up. When a device is built to handle 20 watts at a given resistance, such as 1.1 - 1.5, it won't hesitate, nor will it shorten the lifespan or your coil or your battery. If anything, running your device at to low of a voltage will burn a coil out faster.

Think about it. If you are constantly pulling in juice to your coil, and not giving it efficient power, that that coil is going to gunk up super fast. When it is heated efficiently, it vaporizes the excess juice on the coil, leaving it much cleaner. Granted you can get it too hot and singe your wicking material, but honestly as far as coil life, the hotter the better simply because it keeps the coil cleaner and doesn't allow excess build up.

Wanna test my theory. Run a new 1.8 ohm bvc coil at 9 watts until it is completely spent and record the time you got out of it. Now do this again, except run it at 14 watts. Tell me which one lasts longer.

As long as you don't ever run it dry, higher wattage will stretch coil life. The type of juice you vape also plays a HUGE part in coil life. Certain ingredients are terrible for coils.

So I'm a few hours into using my IStick. The thing is still awesome and a great step up from the vision spinner 2 I was using exclusively. Would someone explain to me the ohm reader on the device. I've noticed it jumps up and down. Thanks for looking.

Ohms shouldn't be varying. Most likely your topper isn't making a good connection. If so, either the topper/head is faulty, or less likely the Istick itself.

I'm still getting great battery life out of mine.

1.8 ohm BVC toppers chain vaping all day and still better than half charge left. Hope this continues. Shouldn't see appreciable degradation in battery life until 300 cycles or so.

Beats the snot out of my Provari Mini with 18350's. Only get an hour or so out of that combo.

Now it doesn't jump say from 1-2.6 but it does go from 2.3 to 2.5. So say I look at it before puffing and it says 2.3. I take a puff and look down and it says 2.5.

Shouldn't move at all. Coils will drift a bit over time, but not between puffs.

It is significantly better. I've been making vertical heads for around a year now in Kanger heads. I've yet to rebuild a Aspire head, but the same principal applies. I have found a spaced rather than touching coil is far superior along with Rayon wicking.

    http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...d-aro-evod-protank-heads-43.html#post14228621

I was stoked when I seen Aspire offer BVC coils. They are by far my favorite factory coils.

Hey BSD. Thanks for your thread. It's what helped me hone my vertical builds in my KPT2s. Can you compare the Aspire BVCs to the vertical-hollow-core rebuilds?

I'm waiting for the VaporShark rDNA 40 to come out. It's smaller than a MVP2 but bigger than an Istick. The features of the slightly larger VS rDNA appeal to me, mainly the Evolv DNA 40, removable battery and wireless charging all in a package smaller than the MVP.

VS rDNA 40 is nice! The temp control concept does sound promising. I'll have to wait and see the reviews...

Thanks for the info on this.
I just ordered my second istick from this site.
The least expensive found on ebay this morning were from vapeoutlet - $34.99 for the istick, cable and adapter + 9% sales tax to CA. The colors available are black and blue.
    I wanted another silver.

    This coupon for 5% off worked - OCT514 - bringing the cost down to $32.75 + $2.50 shipping = $34.75.

This full kit includes:1x iStick 20W Device,1x USB Charging Cable, 1x 1 Amp Wall charger, 1x eGO Thread Connection Adapter, 1x User Manual
Black, blue, and silver are shown as in stock - no red.
The site charges 6% sales for orders shipped to Florida.

So a good price. We'll see how long the shipping to the west coast takes.

Ordered from Rock Bottom last Friday morning and the new beauty came in the mail today - FL to CA. It came in a sealed box and everything listed in the ad was in the box.
I do like the the look of the knurled adapter with my ego threaded toppers.
With 2 isticks and an MVP I am now set for a 3 week trip where I will be without charging access now and then for a few days.

I'm a month out on stick #1 and haven't seen any drop in power. I still get 2+ days on a charge. Stick #2 is working fine as well and also lasting about the same time. Using Aerotanks - regular and Mega, Genitank Megas (1.8 and 2.2 ohm), also have a few cartotanks(2.5ohm) I run anywhere from 8.0 - 11 watts.

That's interesting. I'll have to ask my buddy to check his, since that's the one I got a few weeks ago.
