I think you should send it back. It's a common problem. I think most waited so long and loved everything else about it that they just dealt with it. If it's flawed you should get it exchanged for a good unit.

Sorry if this is already posted.
Got my Eleaf ego adapter yesterday. The ego threads are not quite the same as the one that came with one of my iSticks, but it works great!

adapter from Smart Vapes on the left, came with the iStick on right. Hard to see with a cruddy picture....
...
I think it's apparent that eleaf realized that they didn't tap the 510 threads properly. A properly tapped hole should have 70 to 75 percent thread. The istick 510 threads are much less (probably 50 to 60 percent) and is apparent when noting the wobble as you screw in your atty. ...
Also, as in all mass manufacturing processes, drills and taps start to wear and wobble as time goes on. If you're lucky and get an istick early in the run, the threads won't be as a bad as one made towards the end of the run, or before re-tooling the taps and drills.
Thread Percentage is 1 Factor in how Well a thread works. But it is Not the Only, or the Deciding Factor.
The Thread Height on my iStick is Actually .009" Greater than on my Provari. But my Provari Connector makes a Better Connection.
A 3B Thread, of the Same Thread Height Percentage, is going to be Much Better than a 1B Thread.

I doubt that eleaf is an ISO 9000 certified company![]()
You might be Surprised.
But even if they are, ISO Standards doesn't stop someone from cutting a 1B Thread. Or an "Un-Classed" Thread for that matter.
BTW - I'm having No Problems with the Threads on either of my iSticks.
Even though my threads are perfectly fine so far, I decided to use an adapter to be on the safe side. The 510 to 510 looked stupid, so I tried my old airflow controllers that I used to use on my ProTanks. It looks much better since you can adjust the top of the afc up to be flush with the topper. Even though it makes it a little taller, there's less overhang with larger tanks.
The thing that surprised me was that when I was looking for a picture of the airflow controller I saw one with the top section off. Inside there are useable eGo threads. It looks a little strange with an eVod attached, but it works in a pinch.

Neither am I, But , several folks are, which tells me eleafs quality control sucks!
Start a poll. I'll sign it lolI Wonder out of All the iStick's that have been sold, how many people are having Problems with the 510 Threading?
Most people Don't Post when there are Problems. But Everyone Posts when there is a Problem.
