JoyTech/eleaf should take note this is what they need to do with the v2 for an extra 1cm in height to get a decent 510 and a 3200mah battery. I am sure with there machine processes they could get the extra height to no more than the 1cm you have.

Good job. Have you thought about starting a business modifying peoples iSticks ???

Smoking doesn't really have anything to do with it (although, obviously there's nicotine involved), and can actually have the opposite effect.

The relationship between nicotine and Alzheimers is based on a very small study done in 2012 of 80 people. They used nicotine patches and some of the people showed a slowing of onset Alzheimers when using the patches. Most agree that the small sample size of the study is not proof of the relationship either way.

Once the plaque has built up on the brain it's too late for anything. My dear departed Dad had Alzheimers, but showed significant memory improvement when allowed to smoke. My mother noticed this effect on him and she asked his doctor if it would be OK to let him smoke, His reply was that he had heard this before from his other patients and saw no reason for him not to at this stage in his life. As far as preventing Alzheimers, no it doesn't. The latest research I have found does link the cause to aluminium.(soda cans, beer cans, the heating coil in coffee makers, the aluminum liner coating in canned goods etc....)But, it's not 100% conclusive.

Great job. Very clever!
I have a question about the battery replacement. Did you have to make any size modifications for it? Did you use a battery with the tabs on it or did you use a regular one?
I would like to just do an upgrade to the battery. I am OK with my stock 510 connector and will just fix it if I ever have an issue with it. Thank you in advance.

Well it took a whole week after the shipping label & tracking number was created, but my isticks are FINALLY showing departure from the origin post office in California. So the rep from Vape Outlet that answered my email totally lied when she said they took it to the post office last Friday. The tracking clearly states that it was accepted at the origin PO this morning, and has now departed.

Wish I had read more of the earlier posts in this thread that warned about them, should have went with Vapenw. Oh well, at least they are finally on the way!

Does anybody have a volt meter like this that they can use on the iStick so they can measure actual vs. displayed volts? I'm tempted to get one myself, but if somebody already has one maybe they can do it for us. I've seen that bar chart with the 2 colors, but I don't understand how to read it, maybe I'm dumb, sorry.

I didn't have anything to compare it to because it was the only device I had with my Nautilus mini, but it wobbled like crazy from day 1 on both the regular 510 threads and on the ego adapter unless fully (slightly more than finger) tight. I'm not sure if the threading messed up my nautilus threads or vice versa. Was extremely careful, there is no user error here, from the beginning.

So, aznnp, I don't really know, but am experiencing something similar when switching my mini to my brand new MVP2. Brand new Full size nautilus that hasn't been threaded onto the istick or adapter is much more smooth on the threads and doesn't wobble so much.

(Note, all items used pass every authenticity check, as well.)

I have one similar to that. Mine won't work on the iStick due to the PWM output.

I think if my iStick threads strip out before the battery dies I'll drill out the 510 connector and press fit one of the old style 510 connectors in. It won't be spring loaded but should last for awhile.

I promise I will NOT send you my my iStick via USPS mail, will NOT pay for shipping and a return label, and certainly will NOT throw in a 20 dollar bill in there somewhere for you to make my istick NOT look like your iStick.

EDIT: sorry this was meant for David, the iStick modifier genius.

~$30 to upgrade a $30-$40 device? :p

I'm gonna play with some 3d modeling software to see if I can make a top cap. Shapeways.com will print it for fairly cheap and anyone can buy it if there's more than 10 people interested. I'm sure there's more than 10 people here that would buy it for a few bucks. $4.50 + shipping for VT 510 connector and maybe some longer screws to replace the ones on there. Should be cheap as they're just sheet metal screws. Might be a fun project.

I love the size but the 510 connector is a serious flaw. If I could put a VT 510 on there, it would be awesome. I thought about adding washers to lift the VT 510 up so it clears the fire button. I'll need to do some more research and head scratching to figure this out.

I've been seriously thinking about picking up a VS DNA because I love the size of the Istick. The DNA is almost the same size but more boxy and smaller battery (1300mah li-po). The upside is that it's a genuine Evolv DNA 30 and much better 510 with spring.

Just a regular flat top 18650. Carefully soldered directly to the battery.
