i don't use the protank mini's but that is what I set my coworkers up with and as of yet no problems from them
they are loving them and flabbergasted at the great taste of vaping :)
neither were vapors, one's an older gentleman so I have to refill his tank for him and replace coils and whatnots....we only had one coil that died so far but it was an old used one of mine so it was past it's prime....
figured the protanks would be the easiest for them to learn with

I usually get the high ohm coils for my ProTank (and mini) since I know I'm using it on a vv / vw device. The coils last longer and there really isn't any need for 1.5 ohm in an attempt to get a decent vape from an eGo type battery. That's my answer to the longevity question.

Ok, my wife uses mine, and my friend also has one. I personally prefer my MVP. All three of us use Kanger protank 3's with coils that I rebuild. We all vape similar juices that I DYI. I will go through approximately 15 mil before my rayon starts to cloud and another 10ish before the taste kicks in. My friend will go through about 8-10 mil before it gets unusable. I checked his settings and he is vaping on 12 watts (5.1 volts) with a 2.2 coil which is nearly what I use myself.
Is it possible that the stick is providing more power than the setting suggests? I plugged it into my mvp and it metered out the same but they both seem to be going through coils faster than I am.
Suggestions?

Yes the eLeaf is putting out more volts as it is usin MEAN and not RMS to calculate the volts displayed on screen. It has been well documented on this thread and PBusardo has a you tube video explaining it all better than I can

Thanx Kat!!!

They certainly seem to give a "lower profile" than the regular (and the Eleaf) 510 => eGo adapters.

(and just in time for the MadVapes 10% sale until midnight...coupon: SALUTE )

Since they all appear to be the same size...I'm guessing you use them with both your Nauty's and your Nauty-Mini's ???

Kat...Thanx to your showing me what to look for...I just found it on MFS for essentially the same price.

But...they have a FREE shipping offer going:

a deal for FREE SHIPPING over at MyFreedomSmokes. From now through Monday 11/17… just add any flavored e-liquid to your order. Then use the coupon code “SHIPFREE” and your entire order ships for FREE. (Offer excludes samples, unflavored nicotine and flavorings.)

I'm thinking about switching out the 510 connector myself. Figured while I'm paying 2.50 shipping I'd get a couple more of the plastic drip tips for $1.50 each.

If I was comfortable using a soldering iron I would consider modding my istick, but I've just never been good at it. I'm more comfortable using a ratchet because there's less finesse involved in it.

I'm thinking about getting a couple of these:

V2 510 Shorty Extension Sealed

True, but they do not replace 510>eGo adapters. They are 510 threaded, so if you want to use an eGo-threaded topper, you'll still need a 510/eGo adapter.

Thanks for the answers guys. I still have yet to pull the trigger on a purchase, and now from what I understand I'll most likely want the adapter so I don't have to worry about thread/pin issues.

I use an adapter on most of my mods, save the threads when dropped....(so, I'm a clutz, sue me...:p)

But won't those look funny with wider-diameter toppers? And won't they make the whole setup unstable? You're going to have a ~6mm-tall skinny neck (can't think of a better word ) underneath your head.

Not arguing--just trying to imagine what it would look like.

I was thinking the same thing.

I think I'm gonna hack my Istick when either my Hana clone or VS rDNA 40 comes. I took the top cap off on mine again and it just might fit. If it does, I'll replace the battery too.

There was a review posted today for the eLeaf iStick bending adapter. I looked and didn't find it posted here yet. It appears the folding adapter is spring loaded.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ebZVFY4Q7q0

Sorry if this has already been posted and I missed it.

That looks excellent. I hope other versions of this kind of adapter will come out - that could solve a lot of issues with a lot of mods threading and mods without spring 510's.

I just need the bottom part--that bendable top part is silly, honestly... :D I hope that this will be the standard connection in the V2.

Thanks for posting, Tech!

Weeeeelp. I only use the Naughty Minis on the 'Stick, but I image the AFC would be absolutely fine with the Naughties as well. :)

You didn't mention most people's largest (perhaps) exposure to aluminum in their daily lives...antiperspirants!

(Deodorants do not contain aluminum.)

Thinkin' you have a (recent) penchant for Nauty's (and Mini's)...do you happen to have a link handy where I can get one of them-thar AFC's for my iSticks/Nauty's?

There is no link between Alzheimer's & aluminum. It is a classic story of bad research design & is taught in all methodology courses as a warning. The myth started when brain slices with and without Alzheimer's were studied. The only difference found was higher levels of aluminum in the Alzheimer's brains. The error: the slices without Alzheimer's were in steel trays in the lab, the slices with Alzheimer's were stored on aluminum trays. The aluminum leaked into the brain tissue. Hence, the erroneous connection between aluminum & Alzheimer's.

Just like any news story, the story itself is loud & proud, any retraction is relegated to a short snippet in the back of the newspaper. Many people remain unaware to the retraction & still teach that aluminum causes Alzheimer's.
