Yes exactly! Also it is more flush and looks better

.
One thing, or shall I say one of the things, I like about the AFC is that they ARE adjustable. So if there's a gap (the dreaded "gaposis") between the adapter and your tank, you can screw the AFC counter clockwise to raise it up to meet the bottom of your tank.

Me likes. ;)

I picked up one of these Wednesday evening. So far I really like it! I'm amazed by how long the battery lasts. I'm a fairly heavy vaper and I would go through a full NCR18650 (2900mAh) about a day with my iTaste VTR (with an iClear 30S topper), but my istick with the same topper is still going strong. I know the battery gauge is more of an approximation than an exact representation, but even so it looks like I have at least another half-day left with this little bad boy before it needs a charge. Does anyone know if I'll fry it if I charge it with an "adaptive fast charger" with a 9.0v output that came with my Samsung Note 4?

The issue appears after a while, apparently.

I wonder. With this issue being fairly widespread, I wonder if Eleaf would consider sourcing replacement tops (as the whole top is 1 piece)? I have been pretty careful and after a while, say 3 weeks, I'm starting to see some sloppiness. I can only imagine that once it starts, it goes quick. Stripped out, this thing is a paper-weight. A replacement top and it's like new.

My only real complaint is the arbitrary 1.0 ohm cutoff. No reason it couldn't deal with sub ohm resistances within the voltage and amperage limits it already has.

Sent from my SM-T700 using Xparent Purple Tapatalk 2

I don't think it's arbitrary. The batteries aren't the best in these so limiting the device to 1Ω lessens the amp draw thus making it safer.

The circuit limits the current draw (I'm assuming 500ma) so you should be able to use any charger. I charge mine with a Blackberry 1.8a charger most of the time and it takes just as long as a 1a charger.

I've had mine for over 5 weeks and the threads aren't bad but the gasket on the center pin is slowly going. I use 3-4 different tanks and they all have different size 510 connectors so I have to pry the pin up. I'm gonna try to install a VT 510 connector with steel threads and spring loaded center pin soon.

With all the talk about the adapters, is the threading really that flimsy on these things? I mean I've only have mine a day but have removed/installed a tank a few times so far and didn't have an issue. Granted I am fairly deliberate when installing. Is it really something to worry about?

I have 2 and have had no problems. One for over a month.

I've had mine almost 2 full days now and one of the first things I noticed is when screwing on my iClear 30S, it wasn't a nice, smooth experience. Had to use a little bit of torque in spots, not enough to really cause much concern, but I was a little unnerved that it didn't screw on nice and easy without resistance. Now that I've unscrewed and screwed it off and on a few times, it's a little easier, but still...

I have two iSticks. One is new and just arrived, ordered a week ago during the last eBay "price war"($31.49 for the iStick and eLeaf adapter from vapeoutlet). The other is now going on two months old. The older one's aluminum 510 threads have gotten a bit wonky. I use only regular 510 devices on it---rather than tanks or clearos with an eGo-style connection---so I've ordered the older version Kanger AFC control valve to protect the threads.

In the meantime, I take care when installing and removing my 510 tanks. When I screw them onto the slightly sloppy threads, I apply no pressure or force at all. Instead, I turn the device into the threads until I feel any slight resistance, then stop and wiggle the device a little, gently "searching" for the proper thread path. Also, I never over-tighten, screwing on my devices only far enough to be snug and make a good connection (which the iStick's display tells me by registering the correct resistance). This way, I hope to prevent further wear and deterioration of the iStick's aluminum threads. That works fine so far, although I look forward to getting the AFC valve.

Threads on my new iStick are still perfect, and I intend to keep them relatively pristine.

Weeeeelp. I only use the Naughty Minis on the 'Stick, but I image the AFC would be absolutely fine with the Naughties as well. :)

I think the Nauty-Mini looks 387% better on the iStick than the original-Nauty...but it seems like I have to refill it "constantly" (due to it's smaller capacity).

I now have 1 Mini and 2 orig-Nauty's in my "rotation"...and LOVE them!!!

My only "problem" with them is that once one starts gurgling (happens infrequently)...I've not found any solutions.

I've tried increasing the AFC hole size (and decreasing it), increasing the Watts setting (and decreasing it), decreasing my joose PG/VG ratio (and increasing it), vaping with the bottom side UP, shaking out the top (into a towel), shaking out the AFC hole (horizontally) (into a towel) and cleaning out the drip tip and 510 connector (inside) with a Q-Tip. Nothing works.

Put in a new BVC coil and everything is back to normal.

So...beginning to believe that gurgling of the BVC is just the Vaping God's way of telling me that it's time to replace it with a new one???

The mini versoin of tanks looks way better on them ;) I had Nautilus and AeroTank on it and it just looks sill but it looks real nice with a PT3 and a shorty drip tip

Mine will do this occasionally after refills, and all I have to do is blow into the drip tip (into a towel) with the biggest hole open. Clean off the excess and I'm good to go.

I do really like that 30s. Kinda of an unsung hero - the red-hedded step-child of tanks.

The atomizers in these 30S's last forever! I've gone 6 weeks between changes before, and I'm really happy with the entire experience...taste, vapor production, no leaking, etc. etc. Really happy with it. Ordered a Naughty and Naughty Mini just to see how they do but they have a pretty high bar to meet to replace my 30S.

who has gutted their istick? I need to know what it looks like in there! Extremely interested in what "that guy" did with a dna40 in an istick ... honestly I never gave isticks that much attention til I saw that mod... PICS PLEASE (or links to where I can find pics)

On other thing to try first if it's still tasting good.... take out the coil and stick some paper towel into the bottom (where the coil goes) don't know if it's because I over fill sometimes or what..but usually surprised at how much juice is down in there, put coil back, reassemble and vape away...
