I kan konfirm.

All the way closed down, the AFC is 6.1mm. Unscrewed, enuf to meet the bottom of the Naughty Mini, it's 6.9mm.

How tall is Mr. Bendable?

Kat just wanted to Thank You and others that recommended the AFC from MVS. I'm not having issues with m Isticks but going to take preventative measures. I just couldn't stand the look of the tanks on the ego adapter, these are perfect.

<snip a ton of stuff>

It is also possible that the 510 connection was never soldered correctly, as KTMRider can attest to. He's also the resident mod medic should your istick need surgery.

If you're experiencing the occasional phantom misfire, we haven't really determined the cause. It may be a problem with the mechanical switches. A few have reported it getting worse the longer they have their iStick.

<snipped some more>

***poo.......

The phantom misfires are because of the design of the button. Hard to explain but basically, there's a disk that when pressed, makes a clicky sound and closes the circuit to make the device fire. Sometimes, the disk won't make contact when it's pushed at a certain angle (varies on devices). Not a big deal, just annoying.

Well, I do believe my original IStick finally bit the dust. I do have a second one that is fine so far. My first one got damaged at the beach by a little bit of sand getting in it. For the last week, the only topper that would thread and fire on it was my Aerotank Mega. Now it will thread, but it won't read the atomizer-0.0 is not good. Much as I would like to order a new one today or run to a B+M, I am going to wait and see if there are any good Black Friday sales next week. That's my advice to newbies. Most vendors will have good sales next week. Unless you are desperate for something this week, wait for the sales!

Try lifting the center pin.

Does anyone think a iStick v2 will be out this side of christmas ??

Just wondering if I can add the v2 to my letter to santa :D

JoyetechUS posted that the v2 would be out in the first half of 2015.

Yea...it's such a "hassle" to have to occasionally press the iStick's Up or Down button.

But sounds like you've found the perfect "solution". Instead of the $30 iStick...just get a $250 ProThingy!!! :shock:

Yeah, not that hard :facepalm:

Just got my tracking # for my VS rDNA 40 :D

A long (LONG) time ago...before computers and color TV's...people were really into their AUDIO gear.

The "debate" was always whether to get an "all-in-one" Receiver...or...get a separate Tuner and Amplifier.

A Receiver took up less space. But you had to make "compromises" with it's Tuner and/or Amp specifications. And...if it "broke" you were stuck with NO music until you could rectify the problem.

With a Tuner + Amplifier you needed (a little) more space. But you could get the exact Tuner & Amp to suit your purposes. And...when one or the other "broke" you could still get some music while rectifying the problem.

Just how old are you? :p

Update on Frankenstick:

The ohms were jumping around a few tenths and also reading .1-.2 high so I took it apart again and re-soldered the ground. Ohms are accurate again (tested against my ohm reader). Battery seems to last longer than my black Istick. The connector looks goofy with the washer but it works great! Connects to every atomizer I have w/o issue.

I also upgraded the connector on my MVP2. Looks much better and works great too.

Hey hey hey.....that's not right. A Prothingy doesn't cost $250. :)

is not that very long ago.....

Now get off my lawn kid!!!!

:lol::lol:

My family's first colour TV was purchased in 1982, just in time for the Spanish World Soccer Cup. It wasn't a thing just for my family, a lot of Spanish families did the same for the very same reasons (it was a high trend then...).

And my first HiFi set for audio was a seperated one (tuner, amplifier, tape-deck and turntable...yes!, vinyl records!), and I purchased it about middle eighties, even before my first VHS videorecorder for the TV...... I even treasured those vinyls...

But I do not have , and I never had a lawnmower..... you all kids are welcomed into my lawn.....:laugh:

Anyway, I'm happily vaping with my iStick and the others (not to forget them, they'll become jealous!).

KTM~ I wanted to quote your post but didn't for one reason only.....you need to edit it as to not get yourself in any trouble here. Offering your services is admirable but you cant say it in an open forum.....at least not this forum without being considered a vendor/supplier.

~just looking out.

probed the output a bit today and seems that the regulator is only capable of incrementing/decrementing in 0.1 volt steps even in VW mode
so basically VW mode just makes you press the button needlessly

Hold the UP or DOWN button for a little bit and volts/watts will scroll in auto mode.

Tap either and scroll will stop.

I'm offering help to those that need it FOR FREE. Just pay shipping both ways. I gain nothing from it. If I charged my hourly consulting rates, you guys would think I'm out of my mind :p.

Yea I got that. Someone else offered their services for free & was dinged for it. Just giving you a heads up- it's up to you whether you can accept that or not.
Do what you want. You just can't talk about it in an open forum.

My pleasure, IG. :) And I DO understand. That ego adapter is odd looking, at best.

You are also welcome to mine, but we have no lawn! :shock: So Cal where the sun shines most of the time, and the rain don't come...sigh.

I already think you are. ;) teehee~

Love the auto scroll modeS. Once into auto scroll, tap again for .2 watt increments, tap again for .5 watts.

First time I moved to CA (Glendale) in March, I thought the weather was great. After a while I missed the change of seasons and rain. Then one day in January, it rained. It didn't stop for a week! That was kind of annoying :lol:

I already think you are. ;) teehee~

Damn, it usually takes people years before they realize :p

Are you finding the Non-Nautilus BVC's (in Aspire clearomizers) to give a similar vape?

My general response is "yes," although each combination of different PVs using various atomizers produces a slightly different vaping experience. I just ordered two Aspire K1 glassomizers to go with my six Aspire CE5-S clearos because I like the vape I get from the non-Nautilus BVC coils just as much as the BVC coils on the Nautilus and Mini Naut. I don't mind refilling/topping up more often, and the cost savings is substantial.

Right now, I'm using my two Nautilus and two Mini Nautilus tanks on kicked mechanicals and keeping the Aspire clearos on my two iSticks. With the iSticks set to 8 Eleaf watts, the vape of the clearos is everything I could want. Since I run the adjustable air flow control wide open on my Nautilus and Mini tanks, I've drilled out the air holes on the bases of the CE5-S clearos from 1mm to 2mm to achieve a similar loose draw, and I'll do the same with the K1s if their draw is tighter than I like.

I also find that I can run Evod-style clearos on the iStick, even at 1.5 ohms or lower, but only if I rebuild the coils as verticals with Rayon wicking. The wrapped wick seems to provide greater juice flow to the coil and prevents that nasty burnt experience. Still, the Aspires provide a smoother vape.

Well, here in the Gulf of Valencia (east of Spain) we enjoy a weather much like yours, 300+ sunny days and some strong raining in late summer and autumn , but it is mostly a dry climate. It's called technically a typical Mediterranean climate. To maintain a lawn properly cared is too expensive in water and care supplies!

But we can enjoy tan for free!.....:)

Well, after thorough thinking, and as my eLeaf 510 to eGo is the shortest male 510 available (and it beats everything by a good millimeter), I've ended up putting it with a felt washer and an eGo thread beauty ring, which serves as support for my thumb, as someone here did point to...

isticklanyard.jpg

In that way I push a minimal amount over the central 510 pin of the iStick and get all my atomizers running. For 510's conectors it might be better the Smok AFC though, but this is not so weird unless you put a really big atty (Fogger!). With EMOW's, miniProtanks 3 and the Trident RDA it suits quite well.
